People often say that what makes humanity so special is their ability to always get back up. No matter how many times they are beat down, thrown into the dirt, beaten, abused they'll always get back up and stand for what they believe in. Despite this there are many occasions where this is untrue. Where humans falter and buckle beneath the pressure that life brings. The truth is that they don't always get back up, in fact, in more cases than not they don't. They fall into the darkness but this idea of being always able rise back up is what helps the few that do rise to have the strength to do so. The one mistake with this statement is the assumption that humans are the only ones capable of such a thing.

The room was a pristine white and in the centre of the room was Chace sitting on a metal chair in a reverse position. 4 long tubes with needles coming out from the ends plunged themselves into Chace's back and began to deposit the substance that laid within them into his body. A blue light scanned his body from head to toe as the procedure took place. Chace sat silent the entire time as thoughts from the battle with the Three Claws rushed through his head. Everything from the orders he gave the student squad to the brutal interrogation of Kuro and finally his fight with Blue. Especially his fight with Blue. That was the memory that stuck with him most, that ran through his head over and over again.

"You're all done." The Doctor said snapping Chace out of his trance.

The tubes pulled out from Chace's back retreating back into the ceiling from which they came. Chace got up from his chair materialising his normal outfit out of nanites.

"Thanks." He said as he walked past the doctor and towards the exit of the room stepping out into the corridor.

A sudden notification noise came from his interface displaying that he had an incoming call from the Head of Tech division giving him the option of Accept or Decline.

"Accept call."

There was a green flash as the call was accepted and the caller was put through.

"What is it?" Chace questioned.

The voice on the other end of the line was quick to respond noticing the dry tone in Chace's voice.

"Ummm Well sir we've been working on that new enhancement technology and we've had some exciting developments and wanted to get permission to move onto the operator testing phase." As the voice explained the memories once again began to race through his head specifically all the casualties he had witnessed and the moments of overwhelming power from the Three Claws. The final image in his head as voice stopped talking being Blue standing before him and one word sounding off through his mind.

Gin.

"You have my permission. Get some of the special ops Hunters and run the tests immediately I want this tech up running as soon as possible." Chace responded with a much stronger tone with a sense of urgency in his voice.

"We'll get right on it, Sir. Thank you for giving us permission." The voice responded.

"Just make sure it works." Chace demanded before ending the call and making his way down the corridor.

A few moments later in the medical ward of the Hunter HQ.

The sound of beeping rang through the hospital room as Seth lied in the middle of the room hooked up to multiple tubes connected to various high tech medical equipment. Around him sat the other members of his squad Julia, Rachel and Alex by his side with Julia holding his hand watching him with a mix of worry and fear in her yes. Rachel sat in a chair holding a vase filled with flowers on the opposite side along with Alex who sat right next to her twiddling his thumbs nervously as he glanced over at Seth.
