Chapter 35: Mental Intervention

Life is not fair, Life is relentless, Life shows no mercy. One moment you feel you're sailing smoothly with no troubles and the next you're falling being beat with a avalanche of suffering. So many problems hitting you at once and you think what did you do to deserve this. The voices in your head scream trying to find someone to blame and when there is no one else they turn on you. That's when your head becomes the very torture room you wish to escape as the voices make you suffer and in times like these you must take control and sit them down for intervention.

As the Thee claws walked down the steps to the lower docks Makya at the front of the group spotted Artio about to head down to the lower decks. He teleported across the room now standing in front of her, despite him being taller than her she showed no sense of intimidation. "What the fuck was that? That was uncalled for!"

Artio simply scoffed at Makya's comment. "What the pups all upset because I said the truth? Fuck do I care I said what needed to be said and you guys all know that's true."

Behind Makya further down the hallway stood the rest as they watched the confrontation. Atlas however quickly ran to her cabin door. "Yeah i'mma sit this one out." She said quickly shutting the door behind her to escape the tense situation.

Rufus moved to the front of the group Vesper and Leora tailing behind. Rufus has a furious look his eyes as he point at Artio. " Agnello would never betray us! What you said was a load of shit!"

Ayla walked up to Rufus grabbing onto his shoulder causing him to turn to face her. She kept a calm tone to her voice as not to heat up the situation anymore. "Rufus, calm down. As much as what Artio did and they she said it was wrong, she does have a point."

Rufus' eyes lit up like a flame upon hearing Ayla's words. " WHAT?"

Vesper pulled Rufus away from Ayla seeing how angry he was getting. " Don't be stupid we've had enough fighting for tonight."

Rufus pulled his shoulder away from her still furious he went to step up Ayla but the cold shadow of Kuro came between them. He gave Rufus a cold disarming stare as he stood right in front of him. " Calm down. Ayla is right."

Rufus backed up growling before addressing Ayla once again. " What do you mean she has a point?"

Ayla closed her eyes for a moment taking a breathe before opening her lips to speak. " We all know we can trust Agnello like Artio said it's his personalities that we know nothing about. So far we've simply not addressed them because in the times they showed up they were in our benefit. Plus we had more pressing matters but now we have no choice but to truly question whether or not these personalities of his are truly here to help us."

Artio attempted to leave in the distraction of the conversation being had but Makya was quick to grab her arm. He said nothing but give her a look that told her everything. That she wasn't going anywhere until this is sorted.

"All I've seen of these personalities is the two cute chicks that showed up beside him in the tournament and this Red fellow. What exactly is up with him?" Amaris questioned.

Hala and Badar also stepped forward equally concerned about these personalities they had yet to understand.

"I thought he was simply using some form of crystal manipulation like Lucine." Hala confessed.

"Hmm As did I but their was no signs of crystals on him when he turned into this "Red" fellow. What is he?" Badar added further expressing the Deltas confusion in the matter.

They all looks to Ayla for an explanation but she met them with sad eyes. "That's the problem. We have no idea and I don't think he does either."
