Countless times there has been stories told about hunters and the hunted, Predator and prey it is one of the fundamental pairings in nature. In life. We all have something that we are running from, something which we fear and refuse to face. We all have a predator and we are all prey but when you stop running from your fears and stand up to them, that's when you become the beast. In that very moment is when the Hunter becomes the hunted.
1 week had passed since the Three Claws go the message of who exactly their opponents would be. For the past week they've been training and preparing as much as they can for the tournament that had finally arrived. The group stood at the meeting point in which Muraco had told them about before hand. It was in the centre of the city on the edge of a large circle engraved in the ground which looked to be an arena in which they would fight in. Across from them stood their opponents the fighters of Lunaris, Oberon and the Deltas. Above them was a large ring in which the sounds of Lupi chattering could be heard.
The two teams stared each other off as they waited on the edge of the arena as it began to slowly rise from the earth. Hagorn looking at his opponent began to laugh with excitement.
"Hahaha, I can tell already that this fight is going to be a fun one!"
Rufus gave his opponent Oberon a cold stare as he clenched his fists looking as if he was itching for a fight.
"I'll show you what happens when you look down on me." Rufus mumbled to himself.
Agnello uncomfortably looked at his opponent Lucine as the lustful voice spoke in her head once again.
"Having to beat the crap out of your crush's mother. Awkwaaard."
Leora looked around looking equally as uncomfortable as she tried to make sure she didn't may eye contact with her father. Vesper on the other hand stood strong and calm taking deep breaths. No sense of fear or nervousness or any sense of eagerness just calmness.
"Remember don't underestimate your opponent. These lots are recognised as the top fighters of Lunaris for a reason. We can't afford to lose." Ayla reminded. As they all readied themselves for what was to come.
On the other end the Oberon and the Deltas analysed each of their opponents. Oberon looked at them with disgust as he spoke to them.
"Look at them. Nothing but a bunch of vamps, darlkings and oh look they even have a Mongrel. They have no right to be here. Let us remind them of that shall we."
Hala shot Oberon a displeased look.
"They really aren't that bad. You haven't even given them a chance."
"They're filth and that's all there is to it. Sincerely hope you don't let your personal ties come in the way of your duty to your people." Oberon responded.
Hala growled at his words returning her vision forward and putting on her mask.
"Worry about yourself Oberon. Continue to piss me off and it might just be you that I fight in this arena."
Oberon simply chuckled and faced forward as the arena stopped rising just below the ring filled with Lupi from the city roaring and cheering at the site of the fighters. In the centre on the side of the ring sat Muraco with multiple rows of seats left clear for the fighters to sit beside him. Around the arena was architects on platforms on standby ready to repair any damages to the arena along with healers for any injuries. Sentinels also stood by on watch make sure the fights could go on uninterrupted. Muraco rose from his throne clapping his hands together sending out massive gust of wind silencing the entire arena and gaining everyone's attention.
