Warning signs and words from the system alerted Alex that defeat was on its way. Not to mentioned the damage to his suit in which was no longer recovering due to the amount of nanites destroyed being too great.

"I can't keep fighting, I don't have a enough nanites to keep this fight going. I need to run." Alex analysing looked around for a possible escape but was quickly brought back to reality as a lash of lava obliterated the shoulder of his mech.

"Sage, let's finish this." Sage nodded in response as his body went into its sand like form flowing through the air toward Alex.

Alex looked with determined yes as held his mech arms up in a last stand against the two Teliks. He knew that he stood no chance but he also had no other option. There was no where to run. They were in the heart of the fight. He thought to ask for help but chances are they wouldn't even make it in time. So much going on all around.

An image on screen came up of his mother and sister reminding him of the reason he started this anyway. Memories of them laughing together, memories of them crying, memories of them hurting. They had been through a lot but they always kept going, even when their mother caught Umbral Cancer they always strived to provide for her. Strives to stay together, strived to be family.

(Author note: Umbral Cancer is a rare cancer where a tumour filled with shadow energy develops. Known for rapidly devouring the body from within and believed by Humans to exist due to the existence of Shadow Lupi.)

"I know I said I'd be home for dinner..." Alex fired on Kamala as he attempted to slash at the sand form that was Sage. However he quickly moved through the strikes forming behind and wrapping sand around his mechs limbs.

"... I was really excited to see what you'd cook up today sis..."

"RAAAAAAAGH!" Alex yelled as he pulled his arms against the might of Sage's sand attempting to break free. Pulling so had that the mech arms began to tear off.

Kamala's eyes let out a volcanic glow as the ground below Alex began to bubble as molten lava creeped up solidifying trapping the mechs legs. He tried his best to break free from the rock but he had sustained too much damage the chances of escape has fallen to zero.

"...please look after her. I'm so sorry but I have to do this. I have no choice."

Alex paused as he stared at the options of yes and no. He chuckled for a moment as he remembered the times with his squad, the time back at the party with him and Rachel. All the fun he had. The image slowed as he remembered Rachel dancing to the music and how beautiful she looked to him. As if an angel stood before him. He tapped into his comms as making contact with Rachel.

"Rachel."

Rachel was in the middle of fighting Julia with Leora however she was stayed back with cover fire as Leora due to her Lunam state was handling Julia fairly well. Alex's voice left her still. "Alex?"

"I don't have long, I just wanted to hear your voice one last time. I love you Rachel. I couldn't die without you knowing that."

Rachel's eyes widened to Alex's words as tears began to flow. "What do you mean you don't have long? Where are you? I can help you!"

"No, you can't." Alex took a deep breath. "It's over for me don't throw away your life like I did. Oh and Rachel..." His voice began to break down as he could no longer hold back the stress and fear as sniffing and tears could be heard shattering Rachel's heart. "... please tell my mother and sister I'm sorry and I love them."
