Chapter 10

Hea PV

"I wanted to apologize to you Hea"
Wooyoung tells me as soon as we enter the library.

"You have nothing to apologize for-"
"For what you saw..I would never have used violence in front of a woman ..But it was necessary"
He says, advancing towards me;
and our eyes meet under the beams of moonlight that come through the windows.

"You have saved Kiki, I am indebted to you"
Remembering the moment makes me tremble, Kiki's terrified look and the sound of broken bones;
Despite coming from the street I am not used to such scenes.

"Hea! Why are you trembling?"
He asks me, now one step away from me.
"I was afraid"
I confess in a low voice, and before I know it, a tear runs down my cheek.

I should push him away, thinking back to my friends' words, but I can't ...

Seonghwa suddenly enters the room, and I and Wooyoung come away from each other as if we had taken an electric shock.
