Same day
Aurianna's house
Willowbrook
Wisconsin

Marceline and Danny stood at either side of the bed and watched the girl. They were at Danny's house and had laid the shifter on Lawrence's old bed. The shifter had chestnut brown hair and slightly tan skin. Her sleeveless shirt was a khaki brown colour and she wore dark brown three quarters without any shoes. She also had a chain round her neck with a golden signet ring hanging from it.

"You think she's okay?" Danny asked. Marcie shrugged. "From what I know about shifters," she said, "they are usually immune to most forms of magic and it usually takes someone really powerful to control them." "In other words, Griselda sent an assassin to kill me." Danny said. Marcie gave her a sympathetic look. "Probably." she said, "If it helps, shifters are really strong creatures, so she should wake up any minute now." Danny nodded but said nothing as they heard the girl groan.

She turned a bit and sat up. Her dark brown eyes took in her surroundings and she immediately grew her claws. "Who are you? And where am I?" she said in a very thick British accent. "Whoa whoa. Chill. We don't want to hurt you, we're just trying to help." Marcie said, "Firstly, what's your name?" The shifter looked at them for a minute and retracted her claws. "Cali," she said, "my name is Cali Hills." Marcie nodded, "Nice to meet you Cali, my name is Marceline or Marcie, this is Danyall, or just Danny."

Cali tilted her head. "You lie. Your name is Aurianna." she said calmly. Marcie and Danny looked at her wide eyed. "How did you know that?" Danny asked. "The witch who spelled me said I should look for Aurianna Westminster. I have seen what you look like. And, judging by your reaction, you are her, are you not?" Danny looked at her and debated whether or not she could be trusted. Eventually she gave up and nodded.

Cali smiled in satisfaction. "Why did you lie then?" she asked. "It was supposed to be a secret." Danny replied, "No one other than my friends were supposed to know." Cali nodded in understanding. She felt that Danny was trustworthy and suspected that whoever that witch was was clearly trouble, hence the need to hide her name.

"Do you want us to call your parents or someone you know?" Marcie spoke after a while. Cali physically stiffened and shook her head. "I am alright, thank you. But some food would be most appreciated. I am rather famished." Marcie nodded and materialised a tray full of fruit, some biscuits, fried chicken and a bottle of water. Cali thanked her and started eating. Danny's phone started ringing and she immediately answered it and put it on speaker.

"Aurianna Westminster. The hell are you?" Ivy's voice spoke through the phone. Danny winced-she still wasn't used to having supernatural hearing, "Well hello to you too, I'm just dandy and perfectly alive by the way." she replied sarcastically. Marcie and Cali chuckled at Danny's tone and she could easily feel Ivy's eye roll from the other side. "Well I'm sorry that I actually decided to care. And who are you with? I heard two chuckles through the phone, one Marcie's and the other I don't know. And don't tell me it's you, I know your chuckle." Ivy said and Danny nearly cursed. Damn vampires and their supernatural hearing.

"Her name's Cali." Marcie said, "She's a shape shifter that Griselda sent to kill Ria." There was silence on the other side. Danny glanced at Marcie and Cali raised her brows in amusement. "Griselda sent her?" Ivy finally said, in a surprisingly calm tone. "Um...yes?" Danny said. "And she's laughing with you?" Ivy said in a disbelieving tone. Danny shook her head. "She was under a spell." she said. "She's really not that bad a person."

Silence again before the call went dead. "Well that was odd." Marcie said and Danny nodded in agreement. "Your friend does not seem to like me." Cali said. Marcie shook her head, "It's not that. Ivy naturally doesn't trust people easily. Plus, you did try to kill her friend." "Fair enough." Cali shrugged. A few minutes later, the front door slammed open. "Aurianna Ravenna Westminster. You have a lot of explaining to do." The bedroom door opened and Ivy walked in. "How did you-" "Followed your scent." Ivy cut Danny off. "Now answer, the hell is she?" "Nice to meet you too Ivy. Cali Hills, thank you for asking." Cali said amusedly. Ivy gave Marcie a questioning look and Marcie rolled her eyes as she explained how they met her. "The real question, is what you are doing here? Don't vampires have a class right now?" Marcie said.
