Same day
Shakespeare Manor
Stratford-upon-Avon
Warwickshire
England"Whoa. You did not tell us you were loaded Marse." Thunder said as they stood in front of Marcie's childhood home. It was a large, Jacobean era building and Danny was amazed by the sheer size of it.
Marcie rolled her eyes, "My family is loaded. Not me. Now, a few rules. Nobody eat or drink anything unless I say so. And no looking anybody in the eye. It's extremely insultive to witches." They nodded and followed Marcie inside. "Why is it called Shakespeare Manor?" Danny asked. "William Shakespeare is one of our ancestors. I think my great-great-great grandfather, I've forgotten how many greats," Marcie said. Danny gaped at her, wide eyed. Marcie chuckled and shook her head, "Ri, the day we met I was holding a History book on Shakespeare." "That doesn't mean anything," Danny said, still shocked. "Why do you think my last name is Williamson? It's basically in the name, William's son. William Shakespeare's son," Marcie said mirthfully. Danny nodded slowly then shook her head. She'd seen weirder stuff. She turned to Pegasus. "If you don't mind me asking Pegasus, how did you get your dad to let you come?" She asked, curious. She had thought for a minute that Poseidon would have him under lock and key. Pegasus shrugged, "I didn't. I didn't tell him, not like he cares. I told my mom though and she was pretty cool with it." He shrugged again, "Her opinion is the only one I care about, aside from you guys." They walked in and Seren gasped at the sight of the ballroom. The ballroom was decorated in beautiful golden lights and the entire place was decorated in gold and white.
"Wow." Danny stood in shock and did a quick scan of the place. Everyone was dressed formally and she nearly felt out of place with her casual outfit until she remembered-they weren't exactly welcomed here. "Celine," She turned and saw an elderly woman dressed in a long white mermaid gown with gold glitters walking towards them. She had long bright orange hair and wore a golden pendant. The woman stopped in front Marcie, "Celine dear, how are you?" The woman had a thick British accent, thicker than Marcie's but not as thick as Cali's. Marcie raised one of her brows in disbelief, "Really Avril? You wanna play caring grandmother right now?" Avril laughed softly, "Oh Celine. You and your humour." Marcie scowled, "Don't call me Celine. It's Marceline to you." Avril laughed again, "Whatever you say dear. You and your friends enjoy the party." With that Avril walked away. Marcie's scowl deepened, "I don't like this. What are she and my no good step mother planning now?" "Who is she anyway?" Jack asked. "That's my grandmother, Avril. But she's not the one we're looking for. We need to find my dad and get outta here." Marcie said. "You mean that guy?" Thunder pointed to a dark haired man by the drinks table. Marcie slapped his hand away, "Yes him now put your hand down, it's rude to point to a witch." Thunder rolled his eyes and muttered, "Witches and their rules." Marcie ignored him and started walking towards the drinks table and they followed her. They were intercepted by two witches, one with dark blue hair and a red head. The dark haired one wore a black off shoulder gown with gold embroidery on the skirt while the red head wore a black halter neck gown with silver embroidery on the bodice. They both had chocolate brown eyes like Marcie's, so Danny knew they were somewhat related. "Audrey," they both said with sickly sweet smiles. Their accents were as thick as Avril's. Marcie scowled again, "Firstly, it's Marceline, not Audrey. And secondly, don't you two have someone else's life to ruin?" The dark haired one said, "No need to be mean, we just wanted to talk to you and your friends." She eyed Thunder seductively. Marcie's nose scrunched up in disgust, "Eww Cherry. I did not need that thought in my head and anyway Thunder is younger than you." The red head said, "Age, dear sister, is just a number." She batted her eyelashes at Vlad.
"Yeah, I think they're good. I need to talk to Dad, so I'll deal with your shit later." They pushed passed them and kept heading for the drinks table. Ivy opened her mouth to speak but Marcie beat her to it, "The one with dark blue hair is Cherida, the red head is Kimberley, but everyone calls them Cherry and Kimmy. They're my step sisters. And yes, they were very serious about sleeping with Thunder and Vlad. You're welcome." Vlad shuddered and started cursing in Ukrainian while Thunder went pale. Marcie chuckled, "Relax, after tonight we probably won't see them again for a long while. You guys are safe." Thunder nodded while Vlad still kept muttering to himself in Ukrainian. They reached the drinks table and stood in front of Marcie's dad. Danny noticed that although from afar his hair looks black, it was actually a dark shade of purple. His eyes were chocolate brown like Marcie's but, Danny realised, that was as far as the resemblance went. "Roman," Marcie said curtly, "good evening." Her dad looked pained and Danny felt bad for him. "Celine please-" "You people should really stop it. My name is Marceline." Marcie interrupted.
