The bell above the door rang as they walked into the cafè. Cafè Royale was a homey place and had smells that reminded Danny of Florida with hints of something else. It was mostly vintage styled, with wooden walls, tables and chairs, a winding staircase going up and a large bookshelf on one end. There were little tables of three and four, three couches and big tables for much larger groups of people, all scattered in certain spots. The whole café was designed in a certain haphazard yet endearing and way that Danny couldn't help but like. Vlad led them to a table big enough to occupy all of them at once and they sat down. "Whoa," Pegasus said, "this isn't really a bad place. Nice one Vlad." Vlad grinned, "It's cool. I figured some drinks and a time out is what we need. But that's not the best part." They looked at the menu on the table and Ivy gave a low whistle. "They literally have everything, this is definitely the best restaurant I've been to." Vlad beamed with pride since he was the one who brought them. He called a waitress to their table.

"What can I get you?" She asked and the friends looked at the menu. "I'll have some Sprite." Danny said.

"Chocolate milkshake will be fine." Thunder.

"I will have green tea, plain and hot please." Cali.

"Peanut butter ice cream, with extra chocolate chip." Jack.

"Eucalyptus water, a bit chilled please." Pegasus.

"Peppermint rose water." Seren.

"Coffee. Black and steaming hot." Marcie.

"And the three of us will have three cans of blood, bird please and at room temperature." Arian. The waitress nodded and went to get the drinks. "You drink rose water?" Pegasus asked. Seren nodded and smiled, "It's a favourite in Tir Harsgarth. But enough about me. We came for you. I'm can still feel some sadness coming from you." Pegasus chuckled, "I thought I had gotten away with that one." Seren shook her head. The waitress came back and dropped their drinks. They thanked her and she walked away. Pegasus took a big sip from his drink then sighed, "I may as well start from the beginning. When my father slept with my mother, the gods threw a fit. I mean, my dad has had his fair share of women but a Gorgon sister was a new one. Athena especially was upset because apparently it happened in her temple so my Uncle Zeus allow her to punish my mom, which she did by turning her into her monster form. My mom was devastated and for a while she planned on getting revenge. Contrary to myth, Perseus never killed my mom. She actually helped him get back at the moron who sent him in the first place."

"Hold up," Marcie dropped her coffee, "Zeus got mad because your dad had an affair? He does know that he has had multiple affairs, right?" Pegasus shrugged, "I don't know why my uncle was so upset or why my father never stood up to him but I don't even wanna know." "Your father is a coward, that is why. And he believes your uncle is right. But do continue." Cali said and Pegasus continued his story, "When my mom saw she was pregnant, she had a change of heart and decided to put her heart and soul into raising me and my brother. After we were born, my mom took care of us and kept us a secret. We would have remained a secret had my dad not spied on my mom and saw me turn into a horse."

"My dad demanded that we be brought to his palace to live in but my mom refused. They had already taken away her life, she wasn't going let them take us away too. Uncle Zeus was angry that someone tried to go against him and threatened to worsen my mom's punishment but Uncle Hades stopped him. Uncle Hades then suggested that my dad get my mom a house and let me, my brother and her live in it. This way, my mom could be with us and my dad could check up on us whenever he wanted. My dad agreed and moved us into our current house."

"Yeah, but what does this have to do with them being mean to you?" Vlad asked and Ivy slapped his head. "Real smooth Derevyanko." Pegasus chuckled, "It's okay. The thing is, my dad is a terrible father. I don't even know why he made such a fuss about us living with him in the first place when he doesn't really care. After we moved, my dad went MIA and he left us in the hands of his family. They aren't really that bad," Jack snorted as he said this, "But they can be overbearing. And sometimes, they take things too far. Everything I do my uncle and almost everybody judge and judge. And like I said, my dad doesn't care so they can do just about anything." Pegasus sighed, "So now you know. Once Artemis tells my dad, he'll probably be furious that I went against them. But honestly, I don't even care anymore. Camping with you guys made me realise that it's been a while since I did something for me. I'm always bothering about them, taking care of them and literally doing everything they say just to see them happy with me when they probably don't even know my favourite drink for the life of them. So from now on, I'll do stuff for me, things I want to do. They can't do anything, worst is they'll tell Uncle Zeus and he'll probably just ground me. It's time I was happy for a change."
