"So, Ives, how are you screwed?" Danny asked. They were all sitting in a circle on their sleeping bags. They had fully given up on sleeping and decided to talk instead. Ivy shrugged, "Honestly, I'm not so sure. My foster parents said they found me crying in a field not far from the Carpathian Mountains. The only thing I remembered was my age and my name. I don't know who my parents are." Danny frowned, "Carpathian Mountains?" "It's a range of Mountains majorly in Romania," Marcie said. "It also shares borders with some other countries like Ukraine, Poland and some other Slavic countries. The vampire royal castle is somewhere in the Mountains, the part that's in Romania that is." "Huh," Danny said. "Same thing happened to me," Arian said, "although I wasn't crying, I was unconscious and was bleeding from my head. I kinda looked like I had been through a fight." Marcie frowned slowly, "You don't think that maybe..." "We're not related." Ivy and Arian said simultaneously. They looked at each other. "Quit it." they said simultaneously again. The others laughed. "Are you sure you guys aren't twins? You look the part, and act it, it can be possible." Marcie said in between laughs. "Plus, you were both found near the Mountains," Danny said. Arian and Ivy huffed and their head simultaneously. "Hey." They said simultaneously. "Okay you need to stop." The others laughed again and Danny fell backwards in laughter. "Okay that's enough," Pegasus said, "I think I'm going to pass out in laughter. Vlad, any long lost twins we should know about?"

Vlad gave a sad smile, "Unfortunately, no Pegasus. But I'll tell you guys about my family. I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine to Antin and Nataliya Zoshchenko and I had two younger siblings, Solomiya and Mykola. I loved my parents, moya maty used to make the best kompot I had ever tasted, and miy bat’ko was extremely smart and very funny. He had a friend back then, his name was Mister Yevhen Derevyanko. I never liked him as a kid. There was this vibe I got from him that and I was never comfortable around him, but Bat’ko was his friend so I didn't say anything.

"I was very mischievous as a kid, still am, and I always found a way to get myself in some form of trouble or the other. One day, when I was 15, my friends and some other boys led me to a very high fence. We climbed the fence and started walking on top when I got into an argument with one of the boys. He pushed me down and when I fell, I broke my neck and started bleeding. The other boys became scared and ran away, none of them stayed to help. I passed out, fully expecting to die, when I suddenly woke up in a large mansion. Mister Yevhen had turned me into a vampire and adopted me to be his son.

"I was so angry, all I wanted was to go home, but Mister reminded me that I was a vampire now, if I went back my parents would never accept me and I couldn't hide it since it would be obvious that I wasn't physically growing older. It turns out Mister turned me because he needed a male heir. His wife, Misis Vasylyna, had borne him four daughters, Ruslana, Myroslava, Zlata and Valentyna, but he wanted a son to inherit his estate. He knew I was good in business - he had seen me help miy batʹko a lot - so I was perfect. Misis didn't like me because she thought I was stealing her daughters' inheritances and none of her daughters liked me because they thought I took away their father's attention, so I was pretty much by myself.

"I used to secretly watch my family members, making sure they were okay. My parents mourned my supposed death for many years. They held a remembrance ceremony for me every year on the day of my supposed death. It hurt every time I saw my mother cry because of me. I watched my siblings grow, get married and have children. I even went for both my parents' funerals. After my father's death, I realised I couldn't possibly remain in Ukraine, it was filled with too many sad memories, so I gave the inheritance to Valentyna, my immediate elder foster sister. None of the other girls were interested, so she was the best option. She found out about my real parents and what really happened to me that I ended up with them and tried to convince me to stay in Ukraine, but I couldn't bear the torture. Mister didn't want me to give the title to Valentyna but I resisted. Three years ago, I moved to Willowbrook and I've been living here since."
