"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Vlad yelled as he walked through the door. Marcie used magic to strangle him. "There had better be a damn good reason why you decided to wake us at this forbidden hour." "Can't... speak," Vlad said and Marcie released him. "Dyakuyu tobi," Vlad said, "first of all, it's 11am-" "It's Saturday nit-wit." Marcie said bluntly. "And," Vlad continued, "it's perfect to go camping." Marcie gave him incredulous look and raised her wand to spell him again when Danny walked towards them.

"What's going on?" she yawned. "Ask Mr. Morning over here." Marcie said and she turned around to retreat to her room. "I thought it would be a good idea if we all went camping." Danny raised her brows. "And why exactly do you think it would be a good idea to go camping?" she asked. "Because," Vlad drawled, "This will be a perfect bonding experience for all of us. Plus, we really need the break, we've been busy with you seeing your dad and kicking Lawrence out of town," Danny raised her brows. Vlad grinned, "Either way, we need to go chill, so camping?" Danny thought about it. The idea sounded nice to her. She had been busy recently, a day of camping wasn't so bad. She smiled, "Hold up. Let me go get the girls. Cali, Seren, Marcie. Let's go."

Willowbrook Forest
Wisconsin

Danny drove her car through the forest with Marcie trailing behind them in her car. "So where did you say Arian and Ivy were again?" she asked Vlad who was riding shotgun while Cali was in the back. "They are already setting up at the campsite. Pegasus, Jack and Thunder too." Danny nodded and parked the car beside the campsite. Marcie parked behind her and they all got out. They walked into the clearing and started laughed at the sight. All the bags were piled up in one corner where Pegasus and Thunder were sleeping on top of. Jack was sleeping on a bed of snow and created a block of ice to cover his head. Arian and Ivy were also sleeping while hanging upside down on a branch like bats. "What was that you said about them setting up?" Cali said smugly.

Vlad facepalmed and cursed in Ukrainian. Danny's face immediately lit up, "I have an idea to wake them up." She stood directly in front of them and gave a loud roar. The ice covering Jack's head broke and he sat up. Pegasus and Thunder also sat up and Arian and Ivy fell from their tree. Ivy immediately stood up, "Where's Griselda? What's happening?" she said with her fangs and claws out. When she saw her friends laughing, she withdrew them. "The hell was that for?!" she yelled. "Sorry," Marcie said in between laughs, "we couldn't resist. Nice one Ria." "What was that?" Jack said in a sleepy tone, "It sounded like a roar and a growl mixed together." Danny grinned, "It's a shadow beast thing. I've been working on it for a while." "Whatever," grumbled Arian, "we're awake now, might as well set up camp."

Fifteen minutes and a couple of spells later, they had their camp and all lay around in a circle. "Now what?" Ivy asked. "Let's go for a hike." Vlad said as he stood up and the others followed. They started their hike and a few minutes later, Marcie broke the silence, "So, Seren what's your story? How did you end up in Willowbrook?"

Seren waited before speaking, "I'm a fairy. And I came to Willowbrook to hide." "What were you hiding-" "Ooh, you're a fairy! I wanna see your wings!" Vlad said as he interrupted Ivy who glared at him. "I don't have any wings." said Seren quietly. "I thought fairies were born with wings." Jack said with a confused look. "No you idiot," Marcie said as she rolled her eyes. "Fairies are born wingless and powerless. When they reach a certain age, they discover their talent and gain wands depending on the talent. Once they earn their wands, they get wings. No wands, no wings." "Well that's stupid." Ivy said bluntly. "So what's your talent Seren?"
