AN: I don't own Doctor Who, or any of the characters. I don't own you either.
Your POV
As soon as you stepped out of the TARDIS, the first thing you noticed was the huge wreckage of the spaceship to your left. Parts of it were still burning brightly; smoke spiralling high in the air above you. River was stood a few metres away from the TARDIS, staring at the wreckage. Amy backed up, presumably still keen to study her surroundings. You on the other hand, approached River, wanting to know what was going on. She glanced at you briefly, before returning her focus to the ship.  The Doctor wandered over, and joined you by River's side. "What caused it to crash?" River inquired. "Not me."
"Nah, the airlock would've sealed moments after you blew it." The Doctor answered. "According to the Home Box, the warp engines had a phase shift. No survivors."
"A phase shift would have to be sabotage. I did warn them." River stated.
"About what?" The Doctor asked. River ignored his question.
"At least the building was empty. Aplan temple. Unoccupied for centuries."  She explained, as The Doctor turned to walk away.
"Aren't you going to introduce us?" Amy asked curiously.
"Amy Pond, Professor River Song." The Doctor said pointing at each of them in turn. "I'm presuming you already know this, but this is Y/N L/N." He added, briefly pointing at you. River turned around, a massive smile on her face.
"I'm going to be a professor someday, am I?" She questioned. The Doctor winced, realising he'd made a mistake. "How exciting!" River let out a laugh. "Spoilers!"
"Yeah, but who is she, and how did she do that?" Amy whispered. "She just left you a note in a museum." The Doctor gestured for her to be quiet. "Two things always guaranteed to turn up in museums." River interrupted. "The Home Box of category four starliner, and sooner or later, him. It's how he keeps score."
"So you know him well then?" You asked. River grinned mischievously.
"Spoilers." She repeated. "But you could say that. I've heard a lot about you too, Y/N." You looked at her curiously. "You're a very..." She trailed off, looking for the correct word, "Unique girl." She eventually concluded. You smiled at her weakly.
"Thanks." You replied, before noticing the device in her hand. "You scanning for something?" As River went to answer, The Doctor interrupted, "I'm nobody's taxi service. I'm not gonna be there to catch you, every time you feel like jumping out of a spaceship."
"And you are so wrong." River replied. "There's one survivor. There's a thing in the belly of that ship that can't ever die."
"Sounds ominous." You commented quietly.
"Now he's interested." She placed the device in her hand to her ear and questioned, "You lot in orbit yet? Yeah, I saw it land; I'm at the crash site. Try and home in on my signal." Her voice became more and more quieter as she stepped further away from you and Amy. When she had got a short distance away, she turned back around. "Doctor!" She called, raising the device above her head. "Can you sonic me? I need to boost the signal so we can use it as a beacon!" The Doctor begrudgingly produced the sonic and pointed it at the device.  River mockingly curtseyed, before turning back around. "Oh, Doctor, you soniced her." Amy teased, and you bit back a laugh. The Doctor glared at you, as River called over, "We have a minute, shall we?" That question confused you. What was she asking? The Doctor, you and Amy approached her, as she produced a weathered looking book. "Where are we up to?" She questioned, opening the book. This made you realise it was her diary. "Have we done the Bone Meadows?"
"What's the book?" Amy asked, going to look over River's shoulder.
"Don't look at it." The Doctor cautioned. "Stay away from it."
"What is it, though?" Amy asked.
"Her diary."  The Doctor said, intriguing you even more.
"Our diary." River corrected.
"Her past, my future." The Doctor added, causing a lump to form in your throat. From the way he had said those words, it seemed to imply that River was his future wife. You sighed, as the realisation hit you that no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't stay with The Doctor forever. "Time travel, we keep meeting in the wrong order." He explained. Biting your lip, some more thoughts crept into your mind. The way River spoke about you... She'd 'heard' things about you. She'd never stated directly that you knew each other well. Sure, she'd said you'd met before, but how many times before? Was something going to happen in the future that would cause you to leave the TARDIS permanently? You were broken out of your thoughts by the arrival of four large spinning dust clouds. The clouds eventually parted to reveal four soldiers, all wearing the same camouflage uniform. One of the men approached the four of you. "You promised me an army, Dr Song." He commented.
"No, I promised you the equivalent of an army." River answered, turning to look at The Doctor. "This is The Doctor."  The man turned to look at The Doctor, surprise in his expression. "Father Octavian, sir. Bishop, second class. 20 clerics at my command." The man introduced himself. "The troops are already in the drop ship and landing shortly. Dr Song was helping us with a covert investigation. Has Dr Song explained what we're dealing with?"
"Doctor, what do you know of The Weeping Angels?" River asked, as horror took over the Doctor's expression.

You, Father Octavian, The Doctor and Amy were now inside a large cave that the ship had crashed in.  Father Octavian was explaining to you about the situation of The Weeping Angel. "The Angel, as far as we know, is still trapped inside the ship. Our mission is to get inside and neutralise it. We can't get thorough up top, we'd be too close to the drives." He produced a device identical to River's and showed the three of you an image of a series of tunnels. "According to this, behind the cliff face, there's a network of catacombs leading right up to the temple. We can blow through the base of the cliffs, get into the entrance chamber and then work our way up." He explained. "Oh, good." The Doctor commented.
"Good, sir?" Octavian questioned.
"Catacombs, probably dark ones. Dark catacombs, great!" He explained.
"You're not helping." You said, quietly.
"Technically, I think it's called a maze of the dead." Octavian said.
"You can stop anytime you like." The Doctor replied, as a man approached you, requesting Father Octavian. He excused himself, leaving you, The Doctor and Amy alone. "You're letting people call you sir. You never do that." Amy commented. When The Doctor didn't reply, Amy sat down on the table. "So, whatever a Weeping Angel is, it's really bad, yeah?" She asked.
"Now that's interesting." The Doctor commented. "You two are still here. What part of 'wait in the TARDIS till I tell you it's safe' was so confusing?"
"We've been through this before." You replied. "Remember? If I didn't listen to you then, I'm sure not gonna listen to you now." The Doctor frowned at you. "Y/N, a Weeping Angel is the deadliest, most powerful, most malevolent life form evolution has ever produced, and one of them is trapped inside that wreckage, and I'm supposed to climb inside after it with a screwdriver and a torch." He said. "And assuming I survive the radiation, and the whole ship doesn't blow up in my face, do something incredibly clever that I haven't thought of yet. That's my day, that's what I'm up to. Any questions? Either of you?" You grinned at him.
"When do we start?" You inquired, and he groaned.
"You're insufferable, you know that?" He asked, tapping you on the nose again.
"Is River Song your wife?" Amy interrupted. "Cos, she's someone from your future and the way she talks to you, I've never seen anyone do that. She's kinda like, you know, 'Heel Boy!' She's Mrs Doctor from the future, isn't she? Is she gonna be your wife one day?"
"Yes." The Doctor replied, and your heart dropped. You gulped away the newly formed lump in your throat for the second time that day, and took a deep breath. It didn't matter to you. You were not jealous of River, because you didn't love The Doctor. As long as you could convince yourself of that, you would be fine. The Doctor briefly glanced at you. "You alright?" He asked. You nodded, as River appeared in the doorway of a trailed behind you. "Doctor!" She called. "Doctor!"
"Oops. Her indoors." Amy commented.
"Father Octavian?" River added, as The Doctor walked toward her.  Amy turned to face you.
"You're not alright, are you?" She asked softly. You looked back at her, and slightly shook your head.
"No-one's irreplaceable, Pond." You commented, before walking after The Doctor and Father Octavian. If you put your personal feelings aside, you could focus on helping deal with the Weeping Angel. Or so you hoped.
AN: And I'm going to end it there! Thank you for reading; I hope you enjoyed! I'll see you in the next chapter!
