AN: I don't own Doctor Who, or any of the characters. I don't own you either.
Your POV
The Doctor, Octavian, You and River had been walking for a few minutes when The Doctor took River's computer out of her hands. "What are you doing?" You asked.
"These are readings from the crack in the wall." He replied, connecting the device to the sonic. "How can a crack in a wall be the end of the universe?" River questioned. "I don't know, but here's what I think. One day, there will be a very big bang. So big every moment in history, past and future, will crack." He replied.
"Is that possible? How?" River asked.
"How can you be engaged in a manner of speaking?" The Doctor asked. You turned back to face him, wondering why he wanted to have this talk with River now of all times. "Well..." River began. "Sucker for a man in uniform." Octavian turned around at this statement, and approached River and The Doctor. "Dr Song is in my personal custody. I released her from the Stormcage Containment Facility four days ago, and I am legally responsible for her until she has accomplished her mission and earned her pardon. Just so we understand each other." Octavian explained, as River's expression turned to a mixture of anger and intense hatred. "You were in Stormcage?" The Doctor asked her quietly. River didn't answer. "What's Stormcage?" You asked.
"It's a prison." The Doctor answered, as the scanner let out a lout beep.
"What? What's that?" River asked, as the three of you looked at the screen. "The date. The date of the explosion where the crack begins." He answered, as the symbols on the screen began to change to numbers. "And for those of us who can't read the base code of the universe?" River asked. The symbols all changed, revealing a date; the 26th of June 2010. "Amy's time." The Doctor mumbled, turning to look at you.
When you finally arrived at the entrance to the Primary Flight Deck, you found that it wouldn't open. Of course. It would be far too easy if it just opened, wouldn't it? Octavian instructed you and River to watch the forest while he attempted to find a way in. "It doesn't open from here. But it's the Primary Flight Deck, so this has got to be a service hatch or something."
"Hurry up and open it. Time's running out." River snapped.
"What? What did you say? 'Time's running out', is that what you said?" The Doctor questioned. River glanced at him. "Yeah, I just meant..." He abruptly cut her off, "I know what you meant, hush! But what if it could?" You looked at him, confusion on your face. "Time. What if time could run out?" He asked. "Surely that's impossible." You replied. "Time can't run out."
""Got it!" Octavian exclaimed.
"Cracks. Cracks in time, time running out. No, couldn't be. But how is a duck pond a duck pond if there aren't any ducks? And she didn't recognise the Daleks." He rambled.
"What are you talking about?" You questioned. "Is that crack something to do with Amy?"
"Possibly. Time can shift, time can change, time can be re-written. Oh!" He replied. "Dr Song, get through, now." Octavian demanded, holding his hand out for River to take it. River took it, and clambered through the hole in the door. "Miss L/N." Octavian stated, offering you his hand. You glanced back at The Doctor. "Doctor?" You said softly.
"Yeah... I'll be there in a moment." He replied. You nodded, and followed River through the hole. The room you were now in was similar to the one that had lead you into the forest, just without any chairs and two consoles instead of one. River was fiddling with the wires of one of the consoles, and you approached her. "What are you doing?" You asked.
"Trying to get the teleport working so we can beam Amy over here." She answered. "Oh, alright. Good idea. Do you need any help?" You questioned, and she nodded. She pointed at the opposing console. "If you could connect any loose wires in that console, I'd appreciate it." She instructed, and you nodded. You knelt at the console, and pulled away the cover of the main power section. As you were about to search for any loose wires, The Doctor entered through the hole, and shut the cover behind him. "There's a teleport. If me and Y/N can get it working, we can beam the others here." River explained. "Where's Octavian?"
"Octavian's dead. And so is that teleport, you're wasting your time." The Doctor answered coldly, approaching her. "I'm going to need your communicator." You got on your feet, as The Doctor walked over to your console.
"How did he die?" You asked, although you were perfectly aware of the answer.
"An Angel got him. I couldn't help him, Y/N." He replied, looking at you with guilt in his eyes.
"Don't blame yourself." You reassured him, placing your hand on his shoulder. "Are you trying to get in contact with Amy?" He nodded, pointing the sonic at River's communicator. As he did, Amy's voice came through. "Hello? Please tell me you're there! Hello?" She asked; sounding slightly frightened. "Amy? Amy? Is that you?" The Doctor asked.
"Doctor?" Amy questioned.
"Amy!" You said. "Where are you? Are you alright?"
"Y/N? I'm fine." She replied.
"Are the clerics with you?" The Doctor asked.
"They've gone. There was a light, and they walked into the light. Doctor, they didn't even remember each other." She answered.
"No, they wouldn't." He said.
"What is that light?" River interrupted.
"Time running out." The Doctor stated. "Amy, I'm sorry. I made a mistake, I should have never have left you there."
"Well, what do I do now?" Amy asked.
"You come to us. Primary Flight Deck, other end of the forest." The Doctor replied. "Is that a good idea?" You asked. "Have her wandering about in a forest full of Angels that she won't be able to see?"
"We don't have any other option." He answered. "Amy, turn on the spot."
"What?" She questioned in confusion.
"Just do it. Turn on the spot. When the communicator sounds like my screwdriver, that means you're facing the right way. Follow the sound. You have to start moving now." He instructed. "There's time energy spilling out of that crack, and you have to stay ahead of it."
"But the Angels, they're everywhere." Amy answered.
"I'm sorry, I really am, but the Angels can only kill you." He apologised, as you noticed that River was still attempting to fix the teleport system. "What will the time energy do?" Amy asked.
"Just keep moving!" The Doctor snapped.
"Tell me!" Amy insisted.
"If the time energy catches up with you, you'll never have been born. It will erase every moment of your existence. You will have never lived at all. Now... keep moving, and keep your eyes shut!" The Doctor said.
"Good luck, Amy." You added, hoping that she would somehow make it through the forest. You put your head in your hands and raked your hands through your hair. You sighed, as River commented, "It's never going to work." You looked back at her, as The Doctor shouted,
"What else have you got? River, tell me!" River stayed silent, as you heard knocking on the door. The Angels were here. "The Angels are running from the fire." The Doctor commented. "They came here to feed on the time energy, now it's going to feed on them." You stared at the door, wondering how long it would be able to hold out against the Angels. With doubt in your mind, you decided to go back to helping River. It was always good to have a plan B.
AN: And I'm going to end it there! Thank you for reading; I hope you enjoyed! I'll see you in the next chapter!
