AN: I don't own Doctor Who, or any of the characters. I don't own you either.
Your POV
"Up! Look up!" The Doctor commanded. Shakily, you got back on your feet, wondering where on Earth you were. The Doctor placed his hand lightly on your shoulder. "You alright?" He asked. You nodded.
"Where are we? What happened?" You questioned.
"We jumped." He answered as if it was obvious.
"Jumped where?" Amy questioned, as River got her on her feet.
"Up! Look up!" The Doctor repeated. You did as he said, and suddenly became very aware of what he was talking about. Several of the Angel statues were reaching down towards you, trying to touch you. "Oh." You whispered. "That's bad."
"Where are we?" Amy questioned.
"Exactly where we were." River replied.
"No, we're not!" Amy said, as you looked down. You appeared to have flipped everything upside down somehow. You were now stood on the surface of the Byzantium, with the floor now being the ceiling. "Doctor, what am I looking at? Explain!" Amy demanded, as The Doctor crouched over a large black circle in the centre of the floor. "Oh, come on, Amy. Think." The Doctor answered, getting back on his feet. "The ship crashed with the power still on, yeah? So what else is still on?" Amy stayed silent, clearly still confused. "The artificial gravity. One good jump, and up we fell." He explained. "Show out the grav globe to give us an up-draught, and here we are!"
"Doctor, the statues look more like Angels now." Octavian interrupted, pointing his gun upwards.
"They're feeding on the radiation from the wreckage, draining all the power from the ship, restoring themselves. Within an hour, they'll be an army." The Doctor answered, as the circle at his feet opened up, revealing a long, well-lit corridor. As he did this, a light to your right exploded into sparks. "They're taking out the lights. Look at them, look at the Angels." The Doctor instructed, pointing the sonic upwards. "Everyone, into the ship, quickly! All of you!"
"But how?" Amy asked, as The Doctor slid into the hole. You watched, as he stood up, somehow the right way around.
"It's just a corridor." The Doctor replied. "The gravity orientates to the floor. Now in here, all of you, don't take your eyes off the Angels. Move, move, move!" The clerics were first in, shortly followed by River. Amy went in before you, and you entered the corridor, the door shut behind you. "They're here. Now." The Doctor stated. "In the dark, we're finished. Run!" All of you went to run, when the door connecting the corridor you were in to the next slid shut. "This place is a death trap!" Octavian cried.
"No, it's a time bomb. Well, it's a time bomb and a death trap." The Doctor corrected. "And now it's a dead end. Nobody panic."
"Can you get the door open, Doctor?" You asked. He shrugged, and produced the sonic.
"Possibly." He replied. "Give me a few moments. What's through there?"
"Secondary flight deck." River answered, as the door you had entered through produced sparks.
"OK, so we've basically run up the inside of a chimney, yeah?" Amy asked. "So what if the gravity fails?"
"I've thought about that." The Doctor replied. "And we'll all plunge to our deaths. See, I have thought about it."
"Great." You mumbled. "So we either fall to our deaths, or get murdered by statues."
"Ah, the security protocols are still live. There's no way to override them, it's impossible." The Doctor concluded.
"How impossible?" River asked, pulling at some wires in a nearby control box.
"Two minutes." The Doctor answered, going back to fiddling with the door. As he did that, the lights in the corridor began to flicker.
"The hull is breached, and the power's failing." Octavian commented, as the arm of one of the statues appeared in the doorway.
"Doctor, lights!" Amy cried, and a short while later, the lights turned back on. Four Weeping Angels were now in the corridor, staring directly at you. "Clerics, keep watching them." Octavian instructed.
"And don't look at their eyes. Anywhere but their eyes." The Doctor added. "I've isolated the lighting grid, they can't drain the power now."
"Good work, Doctor." Octavian said.
"Yes, good, good, good. Glad you like it so far." The Doctor replied.
"So far?" You questioned. "What's the next part?"
"Well, there's only one way to open this door, I guess I'll need to route all the power in this section through the door control." He explained.
"Good, fine, do it." Octavian interrupted.
"Including the lights. All of them. I'll need to turn out the lights." The Doctor continued.
"For how long?" Octavian asked.
"Fraction of a second. Maybe longer." The Doctor answered, running a hand through his hair. "Maybe quite a bit longer. I'm guessing. We're being attacked by statues on a crashed ship, there isn't a manual for this!"
"Doctor, we lost the torches. We'll be in total darkness!" Amy snapped.
"No other way! Bishop!" The Doctor replied.
"Dr Song, I've lost good clerics today. Do you trust this man?" Octavian asked, looking at River.
"I absolutely trust him." She answered.
"He's not some kind of mad man then?" Octavian questioned.
"I absolutely trust him." River repeated. The Doctor patted the pair of them on the shoulder, before returning to working on the door.
"OK, Doctor, we've got your back." Octavian stated after having a very hushed discussion with River.
"Bless you Bishop." The Doctor replied. "Amy, when the lights go down, this wheel should release. Spin it clockwise, four turns."
"Ten." Amy replied, clutching the wheel.
"No, four. Four turns. Y/N, you're going through the door first, alright? Youngest first, and all that. Amy, you go after her." The Doctor instructed. You nodded, going to stand by the door. "Yeah, four. I did hear you." Amy answered.
"Ready!" The Doctor shouted.
"On my count then." Octavian stated, as his clerics got in position with their guns pointed at the Angels. "God be with us all." You gulped and counted backwards from ten in your mind in an attempt to keep calm. To say that this was frightening you would be an understatement. "Three, two, one." The Doctor counted aloud, and upon hitting one, the lights went out. Amy turned the wheel, and the door slid open partially. You managed to fit through the gap, and ended up in lit corridor exactly the same as the last one. Amy, River and The Doctor followed you, before The Doctor ran to the next door. Thankfully, this one opened up easily, and you entered a large control room. The Doctor slid in the room behind you, and the door shut behind you. "Doctor!" Amy shouted, as the wheel that would be used to open the door began to spin slowly. You joined River, Amy and The Doctor in the main control centre, as Octavian produced a device from his pocket. He placed it on the door, and the wheel stopped turning. "What are you doing?" Amy asked.
"Magnetised the door. Nothing could turn that wheel now." Octavian replied confidently.
"Yeah?" The Doctor questioned, as the wheel began to slowly turn again.
"Dear God." Octavian commented.
"Ah, now you're getting it!" The Doctor exclaimed. "You've bought us time though. That's good. I am good with time."
"Is there any way out of here?" You asked, looking at the massive wall behind you. "Can this wall move?" The Doctor turned to look at you, as knocking sounded. The Angels were trying to get in. The clerics placed the magnets on the two side doors as River informed you that you were surrounded. "Doctor, how long do we have?" Octavian asked.
"Five minutes, max." He replied.
"Nine." Amy added.
"No, five." The Doctor corrected, looking at her.
"Five, right, yeah." She said.
"Why did you say nine?"
"I didn't." Amy said, causing you to tilt your head.
"You did." You mumbled. "Anyway, is there a way out of here that won't get us killed?"
"I don't think there is." Octavian answered, glancing at the door.
"Of course there is. What did you say?" The Doctor interrupted, looking at you.
"What? About the wall?" You asked. "I said 'can this wall move?'"
"Of course. This is a galaxy class ship, going for years between planet falls. So what do they need?"
"Of course!" River exclaimed.
"Of course what? What do they need?" Amy questioned.
"Can we get in there?" Octavian asked.
"Well, it's a sealed unit, but they must have installed it somehow." The Doctor replied. "Behind the wall. It should slide up. There's clamps! Release the clamps!"
"What's through there? What do they need?" Amy asked. River looked back at her, and answered,
"They need to breathe." The wall slid up slowly, revealing possibly the most surprising thing you'd ever seen on your travels. A forest.
