AN: I do not own Doctor Who or any of the characters. I don't own you either.
Your POV
You dashed into the TARDIS console room, which immediately got The Doctor's attention. His head poked up curiously from under the TARDIS console, as he studied your excited expression. "What is it?" He questioned curiously. "What's got you so excited?" You smiled faintly, placing the box down on the console. "Nothing." You replied, kneeling down to his height. "I've just realised something." He raised an eyebrow curiously, as Amy and Rory re-appeared, carrying blankets. Amy threw a beige blanket at you, which you draped over your shoulders. Smiling thankfully at her, Rory handed The Doctor a similar blanket, as the Time Lord placed the black box you had fetched for him in his inner jacket pocket. You crossed your arms. "Are you not going to reveal what's in the box?" You asked. "It was hard for me resisting the temptation to open the box, can't you tell me?" A smirk formed on The Doctor's lips, and he lightly tapped your nose.
"You'll find out eventually, Y/N. Be patient." He answered, causing you to sigh. "So, what were you just talking about, Y/N?" You smiled slightly. "You'll find out eventually." You said, mimicking his response from earlier. He sighed slightly, but he still had a smile on his face faintly. He produced a strange device from his pocket, which looked weirdly like a whisk. "Rory, wind!" He instructed, holding out the device to Rory. "Amy, could you attach this to the monitor, please?" He questioned, holding out a cable that was attached to the device in Rory's hands.
"I was promised amazing worlds. Instead I get duff central heating and a weird, kitcheny wind-up device." Rory remarked, causing you to laugh. "Could be worse, Rory." You stated. "Doctor, what actually is that thing?"
"It's a generator." The Doctor answered as if it was obvious. "Rory, get winding!" Amy studied the console, attaching the cable to the monitor. "It's not enough." She stated, as you lightly tapped the side of the monitor with the back of your hand. It was something you had seen The Doctor do many times, but nothing happened. "Rory!" The Doctor exclaimed. "Wind." Rory began to furiously wind up the strange device, as you stared at the monitor. "Why is the Dream Lord picking on you? Why us?" Rory questioned. Before anyone could give him an answer, you heard a noise, and everyone turned around. On the larger monitor behind you, an image appeared. It showed millions of small stars, and honestly, you thought it was beautiful. Even though you'd been travelling with The Doctor for a while now, sights like this still amazed you. "Where are we?" Amy asked.
"We're in trouble." The Doctor answered.
"What is that?" Rory questioned, as something else appeared on the screen. It reminded you of all the images of the sun you'd seen in science class. Only with one difference. This star was blue. "A star." The Doctor answered. "A cold star."
"How is that possible?" You questioned softly. The Doctor ignored your question, and dashed towards the door of the TARDIS. As he flung them open, you were hit with a large blast of freezing cold air and bright white light shone in your eyes. Wrapping your arms around yourself to protect yourself from the cold, you directed your gaze at the floor. "That's why we're freezing! It's not a heating malfunction, we're drifting towards a cold sun!" The Doctor exclaimed. "That's our version of deadly danger in this reality." With those words, he shut the doors. You looked back up, your arms and legs still trembling from the cold. "So this must be the dream." Amy concluded. "There's no such thing as a cold star, stars burn."
"So's this one. It's just burning cold." The Doctor replied, approaching the three of you again. Seeing your expression, he moved towards you. He took the ends of the blanket wrapped around you, and adjusted it so it was covering you completely. Taking hold of you, he lightly kissed your forehead. "Do you want your jacket back?" You questioned. "You must be cold too." He shook his head, lightly taking hold of your hand and tracing circles on the back of your hand. "I'll live." He answered. "Just keep as warm as you can, alright?" You nodded, lightly kissing his cheek. His skin was as freezing cold as yours, which concerned you slightly. "Is it even possible for a star to burn cold?" Rory questioned, which caused The Doctor to sigh. "I can't know everything!" He remarked. "Why does everybody expect me to, always?"
"OK, this is something you haven't seen before." Rory stated. "So does that mean this is the dream?" The Doctor ran a hand through his hair, and let out a sigh of exasperation. "I don't know! But there it is, and I say we've got about 14 minutes until we crash into it. But that's not a problem." He answered, causing you to raise an eyebrow.
"Why not?" You questioned.
"Is it because you know how to get us out of this?" Rory asked.
"Because we'll have frozen to death by then." The Doctor answered.
"Then what are we going to do?" Amy asked.
"Stay calm, don't get sucked into it, because this may be the battle we have to lose." The Doctor stated, studying the console with a stethoscope for some unknown reason. "What are you doing?" You asked. Before The Doctor could answer your question, Rory interrupted with disgust in his voice, "Oh, this is so you, isn't it?"
"What?" The Doctor questioned, taking off the stethoscope.
"What?" Rory repeated. "A weird new star, 14 minutes left to live and only one man left to save the day, huh?" Amy put her head in her hands, whilst you crossed your arms. "I just wanted a nice village and a family." Rory admitted, as The Dream Lord reappeared.
"Oh dear, Doctor. Dissent in the ranks." He commented. "There was an old Doctor from Gallifrey, who ended up throwing his life away." He recited. "He let down his friends..." He was cut off, when birdsong began to echo in your head again. "Oh no, we've run out of time. Don't spend too long there, or you'll... catch your death here." You glared at him.
"Stop this game. Now." You instructed, as you felt tiredness taking over you. He smirked at you.
"Oh, but Y/N, don't you see? The fun is just beginning. Now, sleep. And don't worry too much. I'm sure your mighty Time Lord will save you." You dropped to your knees, feeling The Doctor take your hand as darkness took over once again...
