We All Get Found... (Spinel x Female! Reader)

It's Never Really Over, Part One

Silence. 

Silence always made you nervous, because that always meant that something horrible was about to happen. 

And surely, it did, when you opened your eyes and heard the first thing that you heard. "Are you okay? Did she do this to you?"

"St...Steven?" You groaned, suddenly starting to make out 4 blurry faces. 

"He found you bleeding in front of your house, right after..." Pearl trailed off. That made chills run up your spine. 

"Right after what?" You pressed on. Steven sighed. 

"Spinel...I don't know what's wrong, nobody does, but she started mumbling inside of the Big Donut. It scared everyone away, and then she snapped again..." Steven explained sadly. 

You began to feel tears prick your eyelids. 

"This...is all my fault..." You sobbed, curling up into yourself. They gave a sad and confused expression, silently asking the obvious question. 

"If I hadn't been such a stupid little bitch...then we'd all still be happy!" You wailed, embracing Steven tightly and crying into his shoulder. 

His jacket was wet, but he didn't care. 

He embraced you back, trying his best to be able to help you calm down before you could start explaining what happened.

That was a lot easier said than done, since you had lost all confidence and composure. But, eventually, you could stifle hiccups and sniffles. 

"I...I tried to defend her, but I...I made her feel worthless!" You said, your voice crack threatening to shatter what you just gained. After you explained what happened, everyone had a frown. 

"Wait a minute, Steven, isn't this just like..?" Amethyst said. You looked at them confused. "I worded everything wrong, made her feel like I only needed her to turn off her injector, and then we were all right back where we started." Steven sighed, clearly replaying something in his mind. 

"Well, he talked to her, and then she turned all good again. Maybe that'd work for you?" Amethyst suggested. 

"But she's very hurt, and unstable! Who knows what she would do if Y/N only said the wrong thing!" Pearl reasoned. Garnet fidgeted with her visor. 

"Y/N can handle this." She said. 

"Garnet—!" Pearl started. "It won't be easy. But, I think that she knows what to say." Garnet replied, looking at you. 

You nervously nodded, and began to walk away. 

"Y/N!" Steven called, making you turn around. "Spinel...she can be violent when something like this happens. Be careful." He warned. 

You nodded, and headed off. 

"Are we really letting her do this alone?" You could faintly hear Pearl whisper. "It has to be her. None of us can reason with her about this." Garnet replied. 

You gulped back the uncertainty, and hoped that Spinel would be merciful and remember all of the fun times.

You finally found Spinel. She was sitting on a cliff, her pink boots dangling off the end, just like that night... 

You sighed quietly, thinking of how to word this. 

"I would say I'm sorry, but those two little words could never describe how awful I feel right now."

She about jumped out of her skin, quickly turning around. She was giving off a glare that could burn a hole in your heart.
