Spinel's face looked dumbfounded as she stared at you, almost as if she couldn't believe that you'd said it.

Then, Steven scooted over to you. "She doesn't like to talk about it." He whispered in your ear. She slumped. You sighed. "Spinel, can we talk in private?"

She nodded and took you by the hand, walking outside and sitting on the porch. Cobalt wasn't there anymore for some odd reason, but your focus was Spinel.

"Spinel..." You started. "I think that I just talked to your old self."

"WHAAA—?!" She gasped. "Yeah, I know it sounds pretty far fetched, but she was in my dream. And I kinda...made a promise to her." You said.

"...What kind of promise?" Spinel asked suspiciously.

"I promised her...that I'd never let you forget her." You replied. She sighed, and sat down.

You sat down with her.

"It's just..." She started, then trailed off sadly. You put your hand on her shoulder.

"She left you, didn't she? Pink." You asked. Her eyes widened. You held your breath nervously. "The other Spinel told me. Well, she didn't say it, but it didn't take long for me to piece it toget—"

Spinel tackled you into a hug, and tears began to spill from her eyes. You frowned, and hugged back. "It happened so long ago, and she's Steven now, and, and—!" Spinel rambled, her composure threatening to break.

You gently shushed her, and held her tighter. "All of that...doesn't matter now. We've got each other. Remember the song?"

"It still hurts, Y/N! What if it never goes away? What if I never forget it? What if—?"

You quickly sealed the gap, no longer wanting her to feel sad. It always hurt you to see her cry. It took a while, but she began to 'kiz' back. You licked her tears away, and began to plant little 'kiz-ses' on her forehead.

You two pulled away, and you gave her a loving smile, caressing her cheek. "She may have abandoned you, but she's a stupid ass bitch. I love you, and I'd never do that to you."

She gave a small smile back, 'kiz-sing' your cheek.

Then, you gave a grin. "I bet that she had a real dorky laugh. Like, 'ohohohohoho!' or something stupid like that." You joked.

Spinel snickered. "No, it was more like 'heeheeheeheeheehee!' if I remember correctly."

"Are you sure it wasn't something like 'ahahohohahaheeho'? Because if so, then you should've abandoned her."

She began to chuckle. "Who the fuck even laughs like that?"

"I don't know! Would 'eeeeeeehohohohohohohoho' make you feel better?!" You replied with a smirk.

She began to laugh so hard that tears came out of her eyes. "No! No, no, no, no...I was her best friend, I was there to hear how she laughed, and 'MUEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!' is what it sounded like, I swear, I'm not making this up!"

"You can't make up such a stupid laugh!" You cried, both of you erupting into a fit of giggles.

When the giggle fit cooled down, she sighed happily. "Thanks, Y/N." Spinel said, pecking you on the lips.

You smiled. "No prob, Bob!" You joked. "It's...Spinel. Sorry if you forgot, doll." She replied.

You jokingly face palmed and clung on tight to her, loving every moment of this.
