Sweat was pouring, and you had a pounding headache. You groaned, and got up.

You were surprised to feel your naked body touch the sheets.

You gasped, and sat up, seeing the blanket fall and reveal your breasts. Then you remembered the sex from last night, and smiled, going into your closet and getting some clothes on.

You poked Spinel's face. "Spinel..."

No response.

You poked her again. "Spinel..."

She groaned in response, trying to slap your hand away but being too drowsy to do so. "Spinel, honey, you have to get some clothes on."

"I don't wanna..." Spinel moaned, rolling over. "Five more minutes, woman, I'm tired as fuck."

"Spinel. Do you want the trio to see you like this?" You asked, crossing your arms. Spinel groaned, swiping her hand over her gem. She shapeshifted clothes on, and quickly drifted back off to sleep.

You sighed with a smile, shaking your head and heading into the kitchen.

The trio had been out last night, visiting a friend. They weren't back yet, thankfully, so that gave you time to prepare some breakfast.

You reached into the freezer, and pulled out some frozen pancakes, sticking them into the microwave. You were sure the trio would appreciate some pancakes.

You got out some syrup, and then heard the door open.

You turned towards it with a pleasant smile. "Purple, Red, Green! Did you have a nice time?"

"Yeah!" Red and Green enthused. Purple looked empty inside compared to the others.

"Purple, are you okay?" You asked, concerned. "Purple was all bummed out about her past." Green groaned, while Red had an arm around her partner.

You gave a frown, and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey. I'm sure we can go and find out about what happened later. Alright?"

She gave a sad nod.

Poor girl. You couldn't imagine what it was like to find out that you had forgotten an entire life previous to this one.

-

Once everyone was done eating pancakes, Purple had went off into a corner, her knees curled up to her chest.

It was a sad sight, to be honest.

You sighed, and approached her. You took your coat off the coat hanger. "Go put something warm on, it'll be raining later."

She furrowed her brows. "What are you talking about?"

You gave her a determined grin. "We're gonna go and find your memories."

She got up, excitedly. "Oh, hell yeah! I wanna know everything! Where I come from, who my original best friend was, everything!"

"We'll find that all out soon enough!" You laughed. "Come on, let's go!"

Purple shapeshifted on a little red sweater made of yarn, and put on a purple woolen hat, following you out the door.

"Okay, Purple," You said, walking down the street with her. "Where should we start?"

She paled. "U-Uh-"

"What's the first place you ever remember seeing?" You asked, with a tilt of your head. "What's the first thing that comes to your head?"

Purple seemed to think for a moment, and then gasped. "SRS! IT WAS THE DOWN ZERO RECOLLECTION ROOM I WAS CONTAINED IN! OH, I REMEMBER!"

You gave a grin. "That's a good start! Do you think there's anything there that can point to your past?!"

"Hmmm..." She murmured, in thought.

After a while, she spoke.

"Well, they do keep records of each spinel they collect. Where they came from, and an estimated time of when they were collected and an estimate of when they were brought to SRS."

Then, she sighed. "But that'll be no use to us. That thing is damn near impossible to access."

You groaned. She gave you a sad look. "Only the commander knows how to get into it, and she wouldn't help me."

You thought for a moment. There had to be a way to get her memories back, there just had to. Even if it would be hard, you'd have to try.

"Well..." You murmured. "If we snuck into SRS, and went into that...that room, would anything in there be able to help us?"

"It's too risky to do that." Purple said, shaking her head.

"But you're from SRS!" You protested. "Can't you, like, lie and get us in there?"

"Y/N, there are some things that happened. Things that happened before we came back to Earth." Purple said, clutching her gem tightly. "My status at SRS, is now null and void."

"Oh." You said, sighing. "I'm...I'm really sorry, Purple."

She looked like she was about to say something, but decided against it.

You two walked in silence, the air growing cold as grey clouds loomed over the area. Purple had her head down, and there was unspoken tension.

Suddenly, she stopped.

You stopped too, and turned to her, confused.

She balled her gloved hands into fists. "I'm never gonna find out, am I? I'm never gonna figure out what they took from me, and I'm never gonna get it back."

"Purple-"

Tears streamed down her cheeks. "I could've had friends that I've forgotten, Y/N! I could've had an entire life before this, and I forgot it all!"

She sobbed, dropping down onto the pavement. "I'm gonna live the rest of my life knowing that there's something missing! Something I can never find again!"

You knelt down next to her, embracing her.

"Purple, I swear, even if it takes me an eternity, I will help you get your memories back. I know this is scary, terrifying. You've forgotten an entire life, and everything you used to be. But what you are right now, is my friend. And I will always help my friends."

She sniffled, giving you a sad smile. "Thanks, pal."

Then, you heard the rumbling of thunder, and felt the first few drops of rain start to drip onto your face. You stood up.

"We should keep going, it's starting to rain."

Purple followed after you, and since her sweater was pretty thin and water was starting to get in, you shielded her from the rain.

Soon, you both found a cave to take shelter in. It was a little cold, and already a little damp, but it was still shelter, nonetheless.

You sat down on the ground with a sigh, and Purple just looked around.

"God, I wish I'd brought a fucking umbrella..."

You dried your face on your sleeve, though it was wet as well, so it hardly helped. "This was a complete bust, and now we're stuck in the rain. I'm so sorry, Purple."

She didn't reply.

You looked towards her. "Purple?"

She was walking towards a hole, that looked just small enough to get maybe one arm through, if you were lucky.

"What are you looking at?" You asked, kneeling down next to her.

She tried to look through the hole, and then turned to you. "Y/N, this tiny hole leads to a room." She said.

"There's a room in this cave."
