Let's Not Be Alone Tonight

Rydel P.O.V

Riker kept shifting in his seat like he didn't know what to do if Ashley wasn't right next to him. He saw me staring and said "I'm gonna get some snacks." I told him I'll join and we walked out of the theater even though I really wanted to watch that part. We exited to see Ratliff uncomfortably close to Ashley. Ashley tilted her head at us. Riker walked up to them.  "I wanted some snacks.." Riker told her. "Okay." She smiled and walked with him to the counter while looking back twice at Ratliff. He scratched his hair and looked at me with guilty eyes.

"Hey babe.." He kissed my cheek. "Hi?" I saw him two minutes ago. He didnt need to see 'Hi'. Something is going on. But I can't ask him here. Ash and Riker walked to us and asked if we were ready to go back in.  They bought nachos, popcorn and a large soda. When we sat back down, me and Riker sat on either end while Ashley and Ratliff were in the middle. Ratliff kept feeding her nachos while she laughed. Then they went back and forth sipping the soda, trying to be the last to finish it. They were doing couple stuff.

The movie ended and we left. Ratliff and Ashley walked in the front of the group and were laughing the whole time to the car. At least in the car I got to sit next to him.

The funny thing is that me and Ellington know about the the stuff between Ash and Riker first, AND we forced them back together, and Ellington still obsesses over her. What does she have that I dont? I love Ashley; her and Cat are my best friends. I just don't get it... 

Ashley P.O.V

I didn't like Ellington. No way. I'm set on Riker. But Ellington can make me laugh like no else. He's just great to be around. That whole thing in the theater though,  it's got me thinking. Does he even like Rydel? Why me? How long has he been trying to 'impress' me?..

We walk into the front door when Rydel pulled Ellington aside. She said for us to go in because she needs to talk to Ellington. We entered the living room to see the Ross and Amy playing a board game, Ryland flipping through tv channels, and Rocky eating left overs. Riker said he needed a shower and went upstairs. I smiled at Ryland and sat next to him. "Why is she here?" I whispered in his ear. "I don't know, but she's a bitch. It's like she's his guard dog and snaps whenever someone goes near him." He told me. "I got your back." I kissed his cheek and stood up. Ryland was a really good friend of mine and Riker accepts that. I stood up to walk past Ross and Amy. "Stop!" She yelled at him and fixed the game board. Ross looked miserable.

I gave him a smile without realizing it. His eyes lit up as he smiled back. Amy slammed her fist on his hand. "Cut it out!" She screeched and looked over to give me a dirty look. If she goes to fight me, im not holding back, and I know everyone knows that.

I gave her a look in return and walked towards Rocky. I was just making my trips around the house. I still can't believe Amy came back after everything she's done. To be honest, I kinda want her to punch me. Just so I can punch her back.

I pulled a chair next to Rocky. Ever since we were younger, me and Rocky had a certain connection and I know exactly what's he's feeling. "Whats wrong, big bro?" I asked with sincerity. His used his spoon to move the cereal around his bowl. "I told Catherine that I want a baby and she told me we needed a break.." "What?" I asked. "She thinks we just need some space for a few days." He looked like he was gonna cry. He really loves her. I hugged him. "Ill go talk to her, okay?" I stood up from the table and began to walk towards the door. I didnt have to let them know I was leaving anymore cause they know I always come back. I passed Ross and Amy and heard a nagging voice whisper "Bye Bitch."

I stood dead in my tracks and turned around and said "What?" "Nothing." Amy said with demon eyes. I genuinely smiled and stood in the middle of Ross and Amy's chairs. "What are you playing?" I asked, not losing my smile. "It's a new game called 'fuck off'." Amy answered. Ross looked at me with apologetic eyes. I gave him the same look and grabbed the back of Amy's hair and slammed her face into the table.
