Chapter 1: My Life Is Ending

May 2008

Julia's POV

"RONALD I AM TRYING TO SLEEP." I yelled into my phone. "Well can I please come over and hang out with you. I have some Oxy." he said. God does this man know me. "Get your ass over here." I said. "Yay thanks Julia. Love you." he said. "Love you too Ronnie." I said. I hung up my phone. I pulled on one of Ronnie's shirts that he left here. Me and Ronnie aren't dating but he crashes at my house alot. My dad doesn't mind. He is either barely home or shit faced. I threw on a pair of shorts and headed downstairs. I grabbed a slice of pizza from the fridge and ate it. Ronnie arrived at my house in 20 minutes. "Ronnie" I said hugging him. "Hi Julia. I like the shirt by the way." he said. "Ya I do to. My best friend left it here and I thought about keeping it forever because I love it so much." I said. "Haha go ahead and keep it." he said. I brought him into the kitchen and gave him a drink and a slice of pizza. "Thank you." he said. "Welcome" I said sitting on the counter opening the window next to me. "Hey toss me my Marlboro's?" I asked. He tossed me the pack. I caught it and took one out. I grabbed my lighter and lit it up. "You know cigarettes can kill you." he said. I started laughing and so did he. "Ya ok look who is talking." I said. He smiled. I finished my cig and snuffed it out. "Now where is this Oxy you are talking about?" I asked. "Here you go." he said tossing me the bag. "Ronnie I had a nightmare again last night. You left again after that fight in the desert where that guy got killed." I said starting to tear up. He got and hugged me. "Julia I promise you I will never leave you." he said. "Ronnie I need you here with me. I don't think I could survive without you." I said. "Don't worry I will be here forever and always." he said. My phone started blasting Not Good Enough For Truth In Cliche. I starred in the music video with Ronnie and the guys. I picked it up. "Hey Max ya you and the guys can come on over." I said. I hung up the phone and hugged Ronnie. "Let's do this before they get here." I said while crushing the Oxy tablets. Me and Ronnie snorted the two crushed tablets. I felt suddenly better. The guys showed up 45 minutes later. They all looked pissed and Max looked scared. "What the hell is going on guys?" I asked. "We have to talk to Ronnie and Julia we don't want you to be mad at us this wasn't our decision." Rob said. I grabbed Ronnie's hand and started to cry. I couldn't breathe right. Max noticed. Max came and hugged me and took me into the other room. I couldn't hear Rob, Omar, and Monte talking to Ronnie. "Max we will stay friends no matter what promise me." I said. "I promise you Julia." he said starting to cry to. After 20 minutes I heard Ronnie screaming. "You guys are assholes. I created this band with Max why should I be kicked out." he said. I had a severe pain in my stomach. "Max my stomach hurts a lot get me some Tylenol." I said. Then it hit me and I fainted.

Ronnie's POV

They guys came over and they wanted to talk. I sat down on the couch with them. "Ronnie you know we love you and that you are one of our best friends." Rob said. "Yes of course." I said. "Well Ronnie this isn't easy to say but since you haven't gotten clean and you are still having legal issues our management has made a decision." Monte said. "We have to kick you out of the band." Rob said. Him and Monte were crying. Omar wasn't because he was planning on quitting anyway. "I'm what" I said. "Kicked out." Monte said. "You guys are assholes. I created this band with Max. Why should I be kicked out?" I yelled. "We're all sorry Ronnie." Robert said. Then Max came running in. "Julia fainted. Call 911 and get an ambulance here quickly." he said. Omar was already on it. When the ambulance got here I got in the back with Julia and the paramedics. The guys followed behind in their car. We got there and waited. The doctor finally came out. "Now Julia has overdosed on Oxycontin. She will survive. You called 911 just in time. She will have to stay in the hospital for a week or two." the doctor said. I thanked him and me and the guys walked to Julia's room. Then reality hit me I am not in my band anymore and best friend who I love almost died. I saw Julia awake. I hugged her and started crying. Rob and Monte hugged her and apologized. Omar hugged her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Max grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "Thank you Max for saving me." she said. "Welcome Jules. I would do anything for you." he said. "Well Julia we are going to go. We will see you soon." Robert said. They left and it was me and Julia. I started crying. "Ronnie we are getting clean." she said. "Yes we are. I can't bare the thought of losing you." I said. She kissed my cheek and smiled. Two weeks later she was released. Julia has been clean for a month. Me I have been clean for a week. I stayed with her at her house to stop the temptation of it but it didn't help. Being kicked out of my band has done a number on me. Not to mention my legal issues are flaring up again. I walked into the house and Julia was crying. There were cops with her. One stood up. "Ronald Radke you are under arrest." he said. Julia started freaking out and attacked the cop. "No leave Ronnie be. He didn't kill him." she said. This was about what happened in the desert. The other cop grabbed Julia and put her in handcuffs. I turned around and put my hands on the wall. the cop put my hands behind my back and put handcuffs on me. They put me and Julia in the back of the squad car. "Julia you shouldn't of attacked him." I said. "I'm sorry Ronnie but they are taking you away from me forever." she said. I was going to jail. "Julia it won't be forever when I talked to my lawyer he said if I went it would only be for two years. We can write notes, call each other and you can visit." I said. "Okay Ronnie. And I will be there to pick you up when you get released." she said. We got to the station and Julia had to pay a fine. They took me to a room and told me I was going to jail for two years. I started crying. They let me go out to the lobby to say goodbye to Julia. As soon as she saw me she ran up and hugged me tightly. We were both crying. Then she looked into my eyes and kissed my cheek. She leaned up to my ear. "I love you Ronnie. You are my best friend till the end." she whispered into it. I smiled and the cops took me away. "Julia please come see me when I'm allowed visitors." I yelled to her. "I will Ronnie. I promise." she yelled back. Then I was thrown in a van and taken to jail. My life was officially ending.
