Stevie looked up as the hospital room door opened and she worried at first when she saw her mother coming out, but the serene expression on Barbara's face worried Stevie less "Mama, whats happened?" she asked, standing up and cradling her stomach, she had felt the baby moving all day, like it sensed the stress and that made her feel bad, she still felt bad for Christine though too.

"Christine wants to talk with you, she refuses to sleep until she does!" Barbara chuckled softly and Stevie felt uneasy still, worried Christine was angry, she didn't want to fight with her.  Christine was probably her closest friend, all the touring and recording together, then being pregnant at the same time, they shared so much with eachother, their friendship meant so much to Stevie "You dont need to act all shy, its clear this is over John, I'm not blind dear, but you lot all have your own things going on in the band, but Christine wants to see you and I think you should see her!"

"Is she mad?" Stevie asked confused.

"No, she is very mellow and just worried about her newborns, she is also sore too and recovering, she had a traumatic experience giving birth so she may appear to be a little dazed from that and the shock and stress, but she just wants to see you because she is probably just as worried about you as you are for her!" Barbara smiled.

"Are the babies ok?"

"Yes, she just isn't seeing them yet, she needs rest because of the birth and the C-section, but I am sure she will see them after a rest!" Barbara smiled "No one will be able to stop her!" she chuckled.

"I will go see her then so she rests!" Stevie said shyly and glided softly into the room, eager but nervous to see her, Christine looked up when she heard the door clink and smiled at Stevie, happy to see her.

Stevie smiled back and felt nervous, she had worried their friendship was over but she was so happy to see her best friend again, she still looked pale and fragile, Stevie was also uneasy by all the things Christine was hooked up too, being such a strong woman, it shocked Stevie a little "How are you?" she asked, sitting beside her where Barbara had been sat earlier.

"I have been better!" Christine chuckled softly "But I am just so happy the babies will be alright, look at them!" She gushed shakily holding a photo in front of Stevie who took it eagerly, Christine was already feeling proud showing her newborns to her best friend.

"They are beautiful, so tiny and perfect!" Stevie gushed, feeling tears in her eyes as she looked at them, Christine had already asked Stevie months ago to be their god-mother so she had felt connected to them even when they were still inside of Christine, she now longed to meet them and hold them too.

"I love them so much, I am allowed to see them after I rest and no one will stop me!" Christine laughed and Stevie felt bad.

"I am sorry Chris, for everything in the past!" Stevie said and squeezed her hand.

"I am sorry for ruining your wedding but the doctor said I was already in labour and stupid me didn't know until my waters broke, then the contractions got so strong, it was all so quick but I guess my stupid body couldn't carry them any longer!" Christine sighed.

"The wedding still happened Chris, it was really the reception, I am just so glad you are alright and the babies are, I am so sorry I never told you about John and I, I couldn't find the words, we both knew it was a mistake and regretted it immensely, I am so sorry Chris, I understand if you hate me but I just wanted to forget it, like John did!" Stevie stammered, about to cry.

"Hey, I could never hate you, lets just forget about it all, we were different people back then, its ok!" Christine soothed.

"I'm sorry, I am supposed to be comforting you!" Stevie frowned.

"You are here, comfort me by taking care of yourself and resting for the baby, so go get that ass of yours in a hotel bed and sleep, John is staying with me here, we want to both be here for the twins, I am seeing them after a rest, you can see them too!"

"I would love that!" Stevie smiled.

"Me too!" Christine smiled back and Stevie noticed how tired she looked.

"You should really rest, remember you had that panic attack too!" John stated and Christine nodded.

"You do look sleepy too, you had a big day and bought to little new lives into the world, so rest Chris!" Stevie smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I cant stay awake any longer, I just had to see you" Christine replied starting to drift off now she felt relaxed and knew hers and Stevie's friendship was still in tact and seemed just as strong.

Stevie kissed her cheek and she gently squeezed her hand in response "We all love you Chris!" Stevie cooed and Christine smiled softly falling asleep completely and John warmed from how strong the friendship was.

"Thanks and I am sorry for fucking up your wedding with my drunk mouth!" John whispered getting up and guiding Stevie out of the room, feeling protective over her too.

"John, I am still majorly pissed off with you, Lindsey and I are barely speaking and Christine nearly died, she is the victim in all this, her and Lindsey, don't expect my sympathy!" Stevie snapped quietly.

"I understand, you have no idea how bad I feel, I nearly killed my own wife and kids just because I was honest, I wish I would have said months ago but it was too much, you might like lying, but I don't!" John snapped back "Cant we at least move past this, for Christine and the twins, fucking hell, I will talk to Lindsey about it!"

"Fine!" Stevie sighed, not liking fighting.

"I'm glad, I never wanted to fight, all us five love eachother and the lines blur with the whiskey and cocaine back then!"

Stevie nodded, softening at the truth "I agree, none of us are saints or angels but to me Chris is and she needs us all at the moment and so do the babies!"

John nodded "Truce for Chris and the twins!" He said holding his hand out.

"Truce!" Stevie smiled and took his hand "Congratulations too, you will be a really good Dad!" She added and John's heart warmed.

"Thank you, you will be a great Mum too, no matter who the father is, it should be Lindsey!"

Stevie nodded too and then left the room.
