"Stevie you shouldn't do this if you aren't sure!" Chastised Robin as she adjusted Stevie's hair under the veil.

"Robs, shut up, Mama or Christine will be back any second, no one can know, I don't even know!" Stevie stammered, chewing on her bottom lip and tasting the apricot coloured lipstick.

"Stevie, its not fair on...." Robin suddenly clamped her lips together as Christine came back into the room, rubbing her stomach.

"Everything alright?" The brit asked uneasily, sensing an odd vibe.

"Pre wedding jitters and Stevie has to keep using the bathroom!" Robin lied and Stevie looked away.

"Its not really that, I know what it is!" Christine smiled, walking over and rubbing Stevie's arm and Stevie felt panicked but then Christine spoke warmly "When I married John, I was terrified, I was worried it wouldn't work, I wanted to run off so its normal to want to skedaddle!" CHristine chuckled softly "I actually had cold feet for a while and look at John and us now!"

"Yeh, now, but you sitll went through hell to get here, remember you almost lost your chance at ever having babies with him, you and John were broken, what if that happens with Linds and I!" Stevie stammered, her eyes widening with fear as thouands of thoughts rushed through her mind of eveyrthing that could go wrong.

"Your pregnant love, Lindsey may be a dick at times but he is infactuated with you as John is for me! We got another chance with our boys and we have littles ones on the way!" Christine smiled warmly, finding herself feeling more motherly to everyone again after getting her marriage and life back on track, she felt stable again and wanted her friends to be happy too, especially Stevie who had acted odd for months.

"But if you are having doubts, you should talk to Lindsey about it!" Robin warned, knowing the full truth.

"Nope, Chris is right, I'm just being silly, Lindsey is my true love!" Stevie stated, she did mean that if only things were less complicated.

"I know he is, like John is mine and our babies will grow up together!" Christine beamed taking Stevie's hands "Now let me help you get ready, Robin, please fuck that wine of out of here too, remember I'm knocked up and have to act like a fucking perfect angel!"

"Of course Chris!" Robin smiled and took off with her glass of wine, not wanting to tempt Christine, she could tell how hard being sober and clean was for both of her friends and she wanted to make it as easy for them as she possibly could.

Lindsey, Mick and John were all stood at the end of the aisle, flower petals were spread out and the Bridal Chorus was playing loudly. Lindsey kept adjusting his tie like an obsessive idiot and was so worried he would fuck something up. Mick swatted the back of his jacket laughing "Settle Buck, I am sure she hasnt done a runner, you look so handsome today, I would marry you!"

"Mick, I look just as good, you should be picking me to marry instead of him!" John joked and smacked Mick's arm.

"Jelous Johnny, at least Linds wouldnt run off after a penguin!" Mick teased "Remember you and I went to the zoo, you ditched me to chase one!"

"Hey, it escaped its enclosure, I was helping the zoo, I didnt ditch you, anyway, you always ditched me for cocaine and Jenny!" John replied sounding annoyed.

"You pair have make up sex later, Its my fucking wedding day!" Lindsey muttered annoyed brushing his suit jacket and pants off again, worry there would be some remnants of white dust and Stevie would notice, which had happened recently. She had found some on the sink of their bathroom and flipped out like a mad woman, then cuddled him.

"Lindsey is going to become boring!" Mick chanted.

"Mick!" Lindsey growled silently and then grinned as he saw the bridal party start walking out.  Mick's daughters were flower girls and Christine and Robin were walking with Stevie, Robin was her maid of honor and Christine was her bridesmaid. Stevie followed having her arm linked with her father who was grinning proudly.   Stevie smiled at Lindsey, it was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, she thought, but then she wondered how could she truly be happy when she was unsure of her unborn baby's father? She wished with every fibre of her being that it was Lindsey's but the wriggling doubt was still the fact that it may have been John's.
