It had been two months.

Two months, and that bastard of a boy had already broken (Y/N)'s full, happy heart.

The heart-broken girl slowly picked up her phone, and unlocked it, her muscles stuff from inactivity. She scrolled through her contacts, and pressed on one. The screen switched from a list to the calling screen. (Y/N) pressed the speaker button.

"Hey! (Y/N), how have you been? I haven't seen you in ages." The friendly voice at the other end said. "Can you come over? As fast as you can please.." The girl mumbled, her voice cracking slightly. "Of course, I'll be there in 5 minutes. Can I let myself in?" The person asked, his voice immediately filled with concern. 

"You know where the spare key is.."

"Alright, see you soon."

There was a little static hum as the person hung up, and the contact list popped up again. (Y/N) stared at it until the screen started going dark, before it turned off. She sighed, and flopped over. A few minutes later, her bedroom door opened and dim light streamed into the room.

"(Y/N)? It's me, Egypt. I hope you don't mind, I brought Empress with me." The person said, closing the door behind them and there was a muffled thump as something jumped onto the ground. (Y/N) rolled over to see the cutie from the cat cafe padding up to her.

"I adopted her from the cafe. She was too majestic to leave behind." Egypt said, sitting next to (Y/N) and the Bengal cat. (Y/N) hummed almost silently in acknowledgement. "I've gotten us some cupcakes from the bakery nearby, I noticed your tone over the phone, and thought you needed something sweet."

(Y/N) watched as Egypt put a container on the floor, and flicked open the lid. A (F/F) cupcake and a vanilla cupcake sat nestled together. "You're the best.." She mumbled, and reached forward to take the (F/F) one. She felt a feeling she hadn't felt in a while.

Love.

As the two ate, and talked quietly, Egypt couldn't help but notice (Y/N) looked down most of the time. Egypt squinted. "That excuse of a boy did something to you, didn't he?" Egypt asked. He could feel his blood boiling. Who could ruin such a beautiful, honest girl?

'That piece of shit didn't deserve her.'

(Y/N) began to tear up, and Egypt was immediately by (Y/N)'s side, hugging her and rubbing her back. "You can tell me what he did, sweetie." He whispered, pulling the sobbing girl into his chest. "H-He cheated o-on me w-with o-one of m-my closest f-friends.."

Egypt tensed, and tried to stop himself from digging his nails into her back from anger. "But i-instead of j-just breaking u-up on me w-when I caught t-them.. He c-cussed me out, c-called me w-worthless and made m-me believe e-every w-w-wo-rd.." The girl choked 'Word' out.

Egypt honestly wanted to murder this guy. "Don't worry sweetheart, it's okay, I'm here with you now.." He whispered. The girl continued to cry into the country's chest, stuttering words and phrases out.

"Shhh..." Egypt whispered, stroking the girl's hair. After a while, (Y/N) stopped crying. "Thank you, E-Egypt.. I can't i-imagine a life w-without you." Egypt smiled at this, and pat (Y/N) on the head. Empress wrestled her way between Egypt and (Y/N).

Egypt chuckled slightly. "I guess she wants to express her love to you as well." He said, then tensed. "Love..?" (Y/N) inquired, looking up at Egypt with watery eyes. Egypt remained tensed. What happened in the next few minutes could dictate their entire future.

"Do you... Love me too..?" She asked, which took Egypt by surprise. "Y-Yes.. I do.. I kept it to myself for the longest time." (Y/N) sniffled, then hugged him, squeezing him. "Thank you... I love you.."
