Chapter 4 - Tarnax IV

End of Chapter 3 -

You climb in next to Carol, and she instantly wraps you in the tightest hug you've ever had. I could get used to this. She's so warm. I just hope she will remember this, because I definitely will.

Just as you thought she fell asleep, you looked down at her. She looks so pure and beautiful sleeping. Well, at least you thought she was sleeping. Before you turned away to get some sleep, she suddenly shoots up and pecked you lips.

You were shocked. What the hell just happened?

The Next Morning

You woke up from your sleep to find the bed next to you empty. You frowned, as you realised Carol had left. Where was she?  You started to think about last night, and how Carol had, basically, confessed that she liked you while drunk. What were you supposed to do now?

You padded into the main room of the Milano to find Groot and Gamora talking. 

"Hey guys! Have either of you seen Carol?" You asked.

"I am Groot (she's in the cockpit)." Groot replied, and you didn't understand what he meant, so you made a puzzled face. Where was Rocket when you needed him? He's the only one who is able to understand Groot, for the most part.

"Okay? Thank you, Groot?" You say, looking over at Gamora, to which she shrugs.

"I think I saw her in the cockpit with Quill." Gamora mentioned. "Although, she didn't look too happy, like last night."

"Thank you Gamora!"

"I am Groot (that's what I said)."

"Sorry Groot, thank you as well!" You sing.

You made your way up to the cockpit, only to see Carol and Quill mid-argument. From what you could grasp, Peter wanted to go to Knowhere to collect a bounty for something he found, but Carol wanted to go elsewhere. 

"-that's why we need to go to Knowhere. For. My. Bounty!" Quill exclaims.

You interrupt their argument, "hey guys!" All attention centres on you.

"Hey Y/N, how are you? Sleep well?" Peter asks.

"Yes, thank you. Hey Peter, can I steal Carol from you quickly? I need to talk to her about something... important."

"Of course, she was putting me off collecting a bounty!" Quill replies, slightly angry with Carol.

"I was not! I was telling you to go to another planet because I picked up a distress signal, you idiot." Carol states, calmly.

"Okay, okay guys. Chill out! I think we should answer the distress signal first, because people could be in danger. Then, and only then, we can go to Knowhere to collect your bounty. Okay?" You plead, trying to become the peace-maker between them.

"Okay, Y/N..." Quill complained.

Carol looks over at you, "you said you wanted to talk to me, Y/N?"

"Oh... yes, Carol. Can you come with me?" You ask.

"Of course, Y/N."

You return to the spare bedroom, with Carol in tow. Carol is confused, and you could tell by the look on her face. To be fair though, when isn't she confused?  However, she seemed to realise what you wanted to talk about.
