Chapter 19 - Infinity War Pt.2

End of Chapter 18 -

"There's too many of them!" Bucky shouts.

A bright light shines around twenty metres from you, and out step Rocket, Groot and some random man you've never met before in your life. "Rocket! Groot!" You exclaim.

"Y/N! Did you see our entrance, it was fucking amazing!" Rocket laughs, and Groot agrees. "This is Thor. He's the God of Thunder." He says, pointing at Thor, who is making his way over to you to help you stand. You take his hand and jump up, brushing dirt off of yourself.

"Thank you, Thor." You nod and he runs off.

"Bring me Thanos!" He shouts, and jumps up summoning lightning. He then smashes down on the ground, killing everything surrounding you all.

The silence doesn't last long, as more Outriders come pouring around you all. You stand up and run over to Rocket and Groot. "Where are the others?" You shout, whilst summoning a force field around the three of you.

"Knowhere." Rocket says, shooting some Outriders that are coming round the back of you.

"Why?" You shout over the sound of the bullets being fired.

"Tracking down Thanos. Me and Groot went with 'God-Boy' here, to go make him a weapon to kill the bastard." Rocket explains.

"I am Groot (I used my arm to make the handle!)" Groot says, smiling at you before impaling three Outriders with one of his arms.

"That's amazing Groot! So this 'God-Boy', who is he?"

"Thor, God of Thunder. I just said that. He needed a new weapon to kill Thanos. He explained so much more on the ship, and also crowned me Captain and not Quill! Hilarious! He said something about his dad being killed by his sister, so he had to kill her or something like that." Rocket sums up.

"So he is a God?"

"God and Would-be-King, however I don't want the title." Thor says from behind you, putting a hand on your shoulder. "I heard you all talking about me. Thought it would be better to explain in person rather than having rabbit here explain for me." He looks down at Rocket and laughs.

"I'm not a rabbit." Rocket shrugs and continues shooting the Outriders. He wanders over to Bucky, who picks him up and spins in a circle, wiping out all the surrounding aliens. "How much for the gun?"

You turn back to Thor in amazement, you never thought you'd meet a God, let alone the Would-be-King of them! You study his appearance, he looks human. He blends in with them so well, besides the massive hammer he's holding and the outfit he's wearing. "You're staring, are you okay?" Thor consults.

"Ahem, yeah. Yeah I'm fine." You nervously laugh and turn away. "Carol, can you hear me?"

"I read you, Y/N, how are you doing with the others?" Carol answers whilst flying straight through one of the Outrider ships.

"Fine, yeah. Where are you? We could really use your help down here." You say, out of breath.

"On my way."

Carol drops to the ground just in front of you. You run to her and engulf her in a tight hug. "They're leaving! The Outriders are running away! We did it!" You exclaim, possibly damaging her hearing in the process.

"I don't think so, Y/N. Look behind you." Carol says cautiously.

You let go of Carol, and turn your head slowly towards where she directed you. There stood a purple alien, with a gold chest plate on and a gauntlet. This must be Thanos, the one everyone warned us about! "Is that...?" You slowly say.

"Thanos, my child. My name is Thanos. I'm here for another gem, you don't happen to know where it is... do you?" He states, calmly. Looking up at you, he brings his right arm close to his chest to show off the gauntlet. "Do you like it? Beautiful, right? It took a lot of assembly and a lot of lives to get where I am now. Five infinity stones down, one to go. I reckon you both know where it is. Take me to it."

"No." Carol says, moving to stand in front of you. "No one is touching that stone. Definitely not you and your gang."

"So be it. It was nice knowing you both. Especially you, little one." He says, pointing to you. He clenches the gauntlet, and the purple stone begins to glow.

"Y/N!" Carol shouts and pushed you out the way, taking your place. 

"Carol!"

Carol lays there on the floor, unconscious. You look up at Thanos and instantly create a force field around his neck, cutting off his air supply. You can't even look at Carol, scared that she'll be a distraction for you killing Thanos. You tighten the force field, and Thanos tries to grip it and throw it away from him. He then stops panicking, and stares at you before chuckling. "You think that will stop me?"

"What...?" You ask quietly, releasing him from the force field by accident.

"I am inevitable." He says, still chuckling. 

The red gem begins to shine, as Thanos brings up roots of a nearby tree and encasing you in them. A root finds its way around your neck, and begins to choke you. Your cheeks turn red and your eyes begin to close. Just as you were falling unconscious, Steve runs up to Thanos and kicks him in the shin. This releases you, and you drop to the floor in a violent coughing fit. You crawl over to Carol, shaking her with all the energy you have left. "Carol! Wake up! We need you! I... I need you! Wake up!" You plead, sobbing. "Carol!"

You look over to Steve, who is fighting Thanos hand-to-hand. Thanos tries to clench his fist to use a stone against him, but Steve grabs the gauntlet stopping him. You summon a portal directly below Thanos, and he falls through. "Where did you send him?" Steve panics.

"I... I don't know. But, he's not here anymore... isn't that good? Vision is safe!" You reason.

"Did you really think it was going to be so easy, Y/N?" A voice from behind you speaks, and you freeze. "I have the space stone, so I can teleport anywhere in the universe. Your silly little portals are useless against me. So, where is the sixth stone? The mind stone, and don't lie to me. I know you know of it and it's location. If you lie, you will not like the outcome at all."
