Chapter 6 - Betrayal Pt.2

End of Chapter 5 -

"C'mon Y/N, we need to find the Guardians and fight these a-holes!"

"Not all of us can fly, Carol!"

"Oh right, yeah."

Carol lifts you up with her, and you both set off to find the Guardians. They're going to need as much help as they can if we're going to deal with KI'rt and the other Super-Skrulls.

"Carol! Where are the Guardians?" You shout.

"I don't know, Y/N! Contact Quill and find out, now!"

You quickly try to reach Peter on the suit's communications system, but nothing happens. No response. You remember you have a comm in, and use that instead. Stupid, Y/N.

"Quill! Peter! Are you and the Guardians okay? Where are you?"

"Y/N, oh my God am I glad to hear your voice? We're fine, why?" Quill responds.

"Oh thank the heavens above. It's the Super-Skrulls, they weren't all they said they were. KI'rt revealed that he was the one to send the signal, to lure us here. We need to act now. He said we are not needed anymore, and by that he means he's going to kill us!" You rush.

"Y/N? Are you there? We're at the ice glacier, come find us." Quill tries to reach you, but there is suddenly a lack of signal, and your messages are lagging. Shit!

"Y/N?" Peter's voice echoes through the comm, but you can't bring yourself to answer. You're panicking too much about not being able to find them. Where is the ice glacier? 

"Carol, where is the ice glacier on this planet? The Guardians are there."

"I heard Y/N, you forget I have a comm in too." Carol laughs. "The ice glacier is about 50 miles this way. We'll find them, I promise. I know how much they mean to you."

The Ice Glacier

"Y/N!!" Quill panics as you do not answer the comms. He begins to think that you had gotten badly hurt or worse killed on the way to them. 

"Quill, are you okay? You're hyperventilating." Gamora asks.

"None of my messages are reaching Y/N and Carol. I'm getting really worried. Y/N is one of my best friends, I can't bare losing another, not Y/N."

"I'm sure she's fine, she's got Carol with her. Carol is powerful enough to defend the both of them." Gamora assures Peter, although he's not entirely convinced. He nods, and Gamora rests her hand on his shoulder, in another attempt to reassure him.

Peter looks off into the distance, and sees a shooting star. Wait, it's coming for them! He starts to stress, but when the 'star' comes into sight, he relaxes. It's you and Carol. Phew!

You're instantly attacked by Peter in a massive hug. "Hey Peter, are you okay?"

"Thank God Y/N! I thought you were dead! My messages weren't reaching, and you weren't responding! Scared the shit out of me! Never do that to me again, you understand? My poor heart cannot take it!" Peter rushes, but is cut of by you stepping out of the hug and glaring at him. 

"Peter, we were up so high that the comms did not work. Don't worry, you can't get rid of me that easily!" You state. "Anyway, back to business. The Super-Skrulls aren't all that they seem. They sent the distress signal to lure us here. That's what I tried telling you over the comms. They want us dead! I don't know why! Carol, do you know why?"
