Chapter 18 - Infinity War Pt.1

End of Chapter 17 -

"Who are you guys?" The male in a dark blue battered suit asks. He's attractive as hell! His suit appeared to have some sort of symbol missing, it looks like it's been ripped off. He was holding two black shields, with three points at the end of each one. He looked like he's been through hell and back. In fact, they all do.

"Steve." Carol breathes out. Who the hell is Steve?

"Hey Carol." He replies, breathing a sigh of relief. "You guys better come in. T'Challa, let them in, they can help us out."

"Thank the heavens you both are here. We're desperate." Steve says, sounding out of breath. "Thanos has come. He's here for the Vision. Carol, we need your help." T'Challa and Steve lead you to the Wakandan city, in front of the laboratories.

"I'll do what I can Steve, who is Thanos?" Carol asks.

"Thanos is the most villainous person the Avengers and I have ever come up against. He is after six infinity stones. These stones are immensely powerful individually, but put them all together and all hell breaks loose. We don't know how many of them he has, but we know that the Mind Stone is safe with the Vision. Hence, why he needs protecting. Wanda has been tasked with that." Steve explains, with concern for the future.

"Do you have coordinates for him now?"

"No. He could be anywhere in the universe. The same as Tony, Spider-Man and a wizard."

"The Guardians! They could have found the Guardians!" You exclaim.

"Who is this?" Steve asks, hesitantly.

"I'm Y/N, Carol's partner. It's nice to meet you all finally." You introduce yourself, "so where is the Vision?"

"He's in Shuri's laboratory. She's trying to remove the Mind Stone from his forehead, to protect both him and the stone. Shuri is a genius, in practically everything, and is also my pesky little sister." T'Challa explains.

You look around at your new team, and fear the worst. What if Thanos gets me? What if he gets Carol? What if he succeeds? You're interrupted from your thoughts by Carol snapping her fingers in front of your face. "Y/N?"

"I need some air." You say, and wander off.

"Y/N?" Carol asks, crouching down in front of you. "We're going to win, I promise you. This isn't what I intended on when visiting Earth. I thought everything would be fine. Clearly not."

"Clearly." You say bluntly, not looking at her.

"I'm sure it'll be a short battle, with us both involved. You; with your force fields, heightened senses and portals. Me; with my sheer awesomeness and all my cosmic powers. We've got this."

You look up to see her with a small smile on her face, holding her hand out for you to grab. "Okay. Let's regroup and discuss strategies. Then after this battle, you're showing me the best parts of this planet. Deal?" You say, grabbing her hand and standing up.

"Deal." She agrees, and quickly pecks your lips. "Let's go."

You and Carol reunite with what's left of the Avengers and T'Challa in Shuri's laboratory. They're standing in a small circle, around the table where Vision lays. "Who are these people?" Vision asks, looking up to see you and Carol standing with the others.

"Vision, meet Carol and Y/N. They're here to help us defend Earth." Steve replies.

"Actually, Carol brought me here to show me about your lifestyles and cultures. But, we got here too late and accidentally got swooped into a war we didn't know about." You interrupt, sassily.

"Well... they're going to help us now. At least all of us have been in contact with one infinity stone. We all know they're powerful. We all know they're dangerous. We need to be on guard for every second of this battle. Whatever it takes." Steve continues.

"Whatever it takes." Natasha repeats. Natasha is beautiful, like a female version of Steve. She has all the same powers and abilities, but more gadgets. She's got short blonde hair, which you're sure she's dyed at least once. Her suit is green and black, with two batons attached to her back.

"So, who is on our team?" You ask.

"We have T'Challa, Bruce, Rhodey, Natasha, myself, Sam, Bucky, Vision and Wanda. As I said before, I'm not sure where Tony and the others are. We recently had a massive fight, that split the Avengers up. So, it's us and them." Steve says, looking down.

Natasha wanders over to Steve, and puts her hand on his shoulder. He lifts his head and gives her a small smile. "We've got this, Steve. I'm sure Tony does too, if he has come face to face with Thanos like we will be shortly." She says with confidence.

"Right, let's go see what the monster wants." Carol says, putting both of her hands on her hips.

You all make your way to the edge of the dome, around the same spot you and Carol first entered Wakanda. You're joined by Okoye, T'Challa's most trusted friend and the General of the Dora Milaje. They're the Wakandan army. You're also joined by M'Baku, the leader of the Jabari tribe. They both bought reinforcements to help with the battle.

You, Carol and Steve are at the front of the crowd. Steve looks over at you both, and smiles. "After you, Captain." He says to Carol, motioning towards the thousands of Outriders pouring in from the opened section of the dome.

Carol smirks, before igniting her fists and taking off. She kills everything in her path, standing in the middle of the Outriders and spinning in a circle. "Clear, for now!" She shouts, and flies back to where you all stood.

"Why are we all here if she can handle it on her own?" Okoye asks T'Challa, as he chuckles.

"Guys, hate to break up the chat, but we got incoming!" You shout, and point to where even more Outriders entered. This time, instead of just them, they bought company. Proxima Midnight and Cull Obsidian. You've heard of them from the Nova Corps database. They're wanted for several crimes against the galaxy, including being Thanos' henchmen.

"Wakanda forever!" T'Challa shouts, before charging towards the oncoming storm of aliens.

You've been fighting off aliens for around ten minutes, and you're already exhausted. "These stupid aliens just keep coming!" You exclaim.

"Just keep them on this side of Wakanda, away from Vision!" Natasha shouts back.

You turn back to the fight, and create a portal on the ground. Several Outriders fall through before realising what you've done. After their realisation, they begin to run around the edge of the portal. You summon a force field around yourself, and shout out for help. You get knocked to the ground by the force of the aliens.

"There's too many of them!" Bucky shouts.

A bright light shines around twenty metres from you, and out step Rocket, Groot and some random man you've never met before in your life. "Rocket! Groot!" You exclaim.

"Y/N! Did you see our entrance, it was fucking amazing!" Rocket laughs, and Groot agrees. "This is Thor. He's the God of Thunder." He says, pointing at Thor, who is making his way over to you to help you stand. You take his hand and jump up, brushing dirt off of yourself.

"Thank you, Thor." You nod and he runs off.

"Bring me Thanos!" He shouts, and jumps up summoning lightning. He then smashes down on the ground, killing everything surrounding you all.
