Carol takes your hand in hers, and goes to leave the room. You stand still for a moment, then follow her back to the cockpit, where the Guardians remained.
"So, you guys finally got together? I've gotta say, I'm impressed. Didn't think either of you was going to own up to your feelings. I'm happy you did though." Quill sighs.
"Same here." You and Carol say at the same time.
"Right, so what we doing about this 'Ego business'?" Rocket asks, ignoring the scene that just played out in front of him.
"We need to destroy him." Carol states boldly.

"Carol, wow. That's a bit err-, don't you think? We could at least talk to him first, and see what he's planning?" Quill replies.
"No, Peter. You don't understand. He cannot be trusted, at all. He was going to use me for his expansion! We need to kill him! We can only do that if we all band together to save the galaxy. Everyone in?" Carol asks.
"I'm in. Whatever it takes." You say.
"I'm in." Gamora says, moving to stand next to you. You look over and give her a small smile, as a thank-you.
"I am in, not like I have anything else to do." Drax replies, then leaves to go have a nap.
"I'm in. (I am Groot)." Groot says, jumping up as a signal to being picked up. Poor thing, he's so small and pure.
"If we get paid, I'm in." Rocket says, and you and Carol both glare at him, hoping he'd change his mind. "I'm kidding, of course I'm in. Saving the galaxy twice now, gonna set me up nicely with the ladies, and the riches."
You wait for Peter's response, only to have him turn away and start fiddling with the control panel of the Milano. Is he upset?
"Peter? Please, can you help us take him down? We're going to need all the help we can get. Ego is strong, really strong. He's a celestial, one of the oldest beings in the universe. His race created the X-Men on Terra and some guy called Bruce Banner's mutation into a raging, green beast! Please, help us take him down." You beg your best friend, on the verge of tears. "Please..."
"You know I can't say no to you, Y/N. But what about us? What about our safety? You said it yourself, he's basically a God! What are we to do against a God?!" You look down, and see that Peter's hand started shaking. He's scared. That's a first.
"Peter, I promise you, we will win against him. We always win!"
"Okay, I trust you."
"Good. Right, we need to analyse what powers the celestial race have, and if they have any weaknesses. Come on, let's go rejoin the clan." You say.
