"Aurelia, what are you doing?" Damon asked. Aurelia turned around to face him.
"Leaving." She said. "I'm going back to college." Damon frowned.
"But Silas-"
"Is not going to compel me." She said. "I'll find a way." She continued to pack her small duffel bag. "Has he woken up yet?" She asked.
"Who?" Aurelia looked at Damon, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, Stefan. Yeah, um, he's woken up. He's, uh-" Aurelia zipped up her bag and turned around to face him again. "We hit a little snag."
She placed a hand on her hip. "What snag?"
"You see, he's awake, but frying his brain had a few side effects." He began to say. Aurelia stared at him. "Like vampire amnesia?"
"What?" She asked in disbelief. "What doesn't he remember?"
"Me, Elena, and everything else." He said. "I was thinking, maybe you could-"
"No." She interrupted. "I'm leaving. Now." Picking her bag up and slinging it over her shoulder, she walked past him towards the door. She walked down the stairs and down the hallway to the door, past the living room.
"Hello?" She heard someone say. She walked backwards, looking into the living room.
The first person she saw was Elena. The doppelganger almost instantly noticed her and stood up. "Where are you going?" She asked her. She pointed towards the door.
"I'm getting out of this town." She said. "And going back to Caroline."
"But, 'Lia-" Aurelia's eyes caught sudden movement from the couch in front of Elena. The man with brown hair stood up, looking at her. She froze, as their eyes met.
She saw Stefan for the first time in three months, without any mind tricks messing with her. However, the same thing couldn't be said about him.
"Who are you?" He asked. She swallowed, feeling a stab at her chest. She didn't answer; she only spun on her heel. With the blink of an eye, she was gone.
Stefan looked at Elena in confusion as Damon walked to the entrance of the living room. "What happened?"
"She just... left." Elena said.
"Was it something I said?" Stefan asked, looking between the two. Damon pressed his lips into a straight line.
"I believe it was."

The sound of bell ringing every then and now kept reminding Aurelia that it was Remembrance Day in Mystic Falls; a day where families would toast to the dead. From what she knew the last time she was in town for the occasion, everyone would just ring bells... not drink.
Her phone suddenly rang as she took a seat at a bus stop. She pulled out her phone and read the caller ID.
"Hey, Care."
"Where are you?" Caroline asked.
"Bus stop. I'm waiting for a bus to Whitmore." She answered. "Why?"
"You're not going back!"
"And why the hell not?"
"Because I'm in Mystic Falls right now. It's Remembrance Day, remember?" Aurelia rolled her eyes.
"Of course, I'd remember... Remembrance Day." She said. "I went to one over a century before you were born." She paused. "Where are you?"
"On the way to the cemetery. Come over." Aurelia huffed.
