We were at our second destination, the plane landing not long ago. We were in the airport where a couple fans were. The girls were swarming the boys while I just kinda sat there. I frown, pulling my hood up a little."Hey! My daughter is a huge fan of your band." I glance up, realizing someone was actually talking to me. A small smile reaches my face.
"Oh yea? Well tell her I love her and that I appreciate that she listens to our music. It means the world to us." I say, happier than before.
"Can I get a picture?" I nod, quickly taking a picture with the woman.
"I can't wait to show her! She's somewhere around here." She looks around and points to a teen girl.
"Molly come here!" The girl walks over, her smile faltering when she sees me.
"Mom why are you talking to him. He's the worst member." My smile drops and I look at my feet.
"Um right. I should probably go." I mumble. The mother looks at me sadly, but I just ignore it and walk over to a nearby Starbucks.
"Um I'll take a hot tea." I say quietly, sliding the girl a ten. "Keep the change."
I walk over to the other window, waiting for my drink. As soon as I get it I sit in a booth and lean on my hand, swirling my tea with the other. My heart felt empty, yet heavy. I glance out the window seeing the boys still taking pictures with fans, smiling and laughing.
I look back at my steaming tea, taking a small sip. Just the smell of the liquid had me calming down a little. I loved the smell of tea. I glance back at the boys, watching as they take videos with some girls. Well they were, until Jack looked around. His face fell as he looked around, smacking Jonah's back. From what I can see, it looks like he said what before he too noticed. They realized I left.
The boys seem to suddenly get concerned, all four of them looking around. Jack runs his hand through his hair, looking around. I honestly don't care at this point. The second the mom I was talking to talks to them, I look back at my tea. I knew she was gonna tell them. I take a sip of my tea, keeping my eyes on the table. I pull out my phone, going to instagram.
I like a post or two, deciding to get off the app when I see a hate post. Love that for me.
"Zach oh my god you had us worried. Why did you leave? Are you okay?" I glance up, seeing the boys walk in.
"I'm fine." I mumble. Jack didn't seem to like my answer. None of them did actually.
"Tell me the truth." I glare at Jack, suddenly getting defensive.
"I said I'm fine." Jack sighs, knowing damn well I wasn't going to change my answer.
"There you guys are! I was looking everywhere for you. The van is ready." I quickly get up, grabbing my bag and my tea. I put a to go cap on the cup and leave the shop. I walk out to the van, once again being the first inside. I toss my crap in the back and pick a window seat.
I stare out the window, waiting for the boys to get in. Once again, I can't seem to stay awake, and I'm nearly passed out by the time the boys get in. I feel the tea leave my hands as someone sits by me.
"Whose looking up the video this time? There has to be one." Jack speaks up.
"I'll do it." Jonah. It wasn't long before the video was heard.
"Molly come here!"
"Mom why are you talking to him? He's the worst member."
"Um right. I should probably go."
"God damnit we let it happen again!" Daniel sighs.
"From now on someone needs to stay with him. I don't care who. We can alternate if you want." I shift, the cold window quite uncomfortable. I feel someone move me onto them, their hand slipping under my hoodie to trace circles on my hip. Goosebumps rise from their touch, my body shuddering lightly. I liked it, a lot.
"I hate seeing him so sad."
