I wake up to someone tickling me with my hair. Again. Why does John do that? I have no idea.
"Wake up, babygirl. Breakfast's ready." John whispers into my ear before brushing my hair over it. I groggily turn around to face him, only to be met with his teasing face as he smiles at me.
"Good morning." I greet with a small grin.
"Morning, Precious. Wake up, I brought you breakfast." John tells me before pressing his lips against mine. I cover my face with the blanket, hiding my furious blush from him. I haven't brushed my teeth yet!!
"Don't hide that cute face from me. – I feel him pull the blanket away – I love seeing your blushing cheeks." He gives me a quick peck before effortlessly pulling me to sit upright. I groan dramatically at the movement, making John laugh. After the latest events hearing his laughter is even more rewarding. I made him laugh.
"You're adorable." John picks me up, as if my weight doesn't bother him, and takes me to the bathroom. "Get ready, I'll wait for you." He leaves me inside and walks out. I don't have clothes to change into!!! Should I ask him or not?
I decide not to ask John to get me clothes, so once I'm done with my business, I walk out in nothing but John's shirt and his boxers, which I claimed as my pajamas last night. I couldn't find mine, since I haven't unpacked my bags yet. As I walk into the bedroom, I feel my insecurities show their ugly faces again, sneering at me to hide all the fat on my body.
"Don't you dare, Precious." I snap my gaze to John, who's standing up from the couch and comes up to me. "Never hide your body from me." He takes my hands from the hem of his shirt, which I unconsciously kept pulling down. How does he always know what I'm thinking?
"You're really easy to read. I can always tell what you're thinking." He leans down to leave a kiss on my lips.
"I don't like being like this, but there's nothing I can do about it. I tried seeing a therapist, but it only made it worse. He took one glimpse at me and told me that all my problems will disappear once I lose all this weight." I quietly tell him, lowering my head so he doesn't see how red my cheeks are from embarrassment. John just sighs heavily and tilts my chin up with his fingers so I look straight into his eyes.
"What's the name of this... therapist?" He demands with a harsh look, causing my eyes to widen. I hear pure anger in his voice.
"W-Why?"
"I'm going to beat the shit out of him. – John cups my face in his big rough hands and leans down until our noses almost touch – You are absolutely gorgeous and whoever says differently will taste my knuckles. Never let anyone bring you down." With that he gives me a deep kiss that makes my legs turn to jello, but thankfully he catches me before I can fall to the floor.
"Let's eat." With a quick peck, John picks me up and takes me to the couch, settling me on his lap.
"Who made this?" I question curiously.
"One of our prospects is a great cook. We might patch him in just to have him take care of the kitchen." And just like that the sour mood I somehow got us in breaks. John always knows what to say to get me in a better mood.
"So you would make someone a part of the club just to have your personal cook?" I tease.
"Maybe..." He shrugs.
After we're done with our breakfast, we take our dishes downstairs, where we're met by most of the club members and Blake with Lia in his lap. Her legs are swinging happily over his side as he feeds her strawberries between kisses. I barely stop myself from aww'ing at their cuteness. Even after all the pain Lia went through, she stays strong and enjoys the little things in life. She's amazing. Tyson, Lia's dad, doesn't seem to mind seeing his daughter like this, gazing at the two with a soft smile on his face, while his friends tease the two and take pictures.
