"Wanna drink?" The prospect asks from behind the bar.
"Maybe a glass of juice."
I glance around the common room as I wait for my drink. It's Sunday, so the garage is not working and the guys just hang around the clubhouse. Some of those women in the skimpy clothes send me glares, silently judging me. I hope John comes back soon, I don't like the way they look at me.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Wolf comes up with a worried frown on his face.
"Nothing." I smile reassuringly.
He doesn't buy it, narrowing his eyes at me.
"Spill." He commands, leaning against the bar beside me, crossing his arms over his chest.
"The women here don't like me." I quietly say, getting an incredulous look from him.
"You mean the whores? – He laughs and I wince at the word – Jesus, woman. Tank has already claimed you as his, so you're untouchable. They can think whatever they want, it won't change anything." He assures me, but his words do nothing to calm me down. I don't want to have enemies in those girls, I know from experience how vicious women can be. "Michelle, seriously, you're a claimed Old Lady, they can't do anything." I sigh, leaning my elbows on the bar, keeping my gaze down.
"What's going on?" I turn around when I hear John's suspicious tone.
"Nothing." "The whores are making Michelle uncomfortable." Wolf and I speak at the same time and I glare at him, getting a cheeky grin in response.
"What do you mean?" John approaches me and wraps his arm around my shoulders, standing over me. He kisses my head and waits for Wolf to speak.
"She's worried about them not liking her. I can't say I don't understand, I noticed those glares they send her way all the time. You might want to settle this. You claimed her, she should be respected."
"Those bitches got fucking cocky, huh?" John is not pleased with what he's hearing.
"It's fine. I was just-"
"No, it's not fine! Our relationship does not fucking concern them and they have no right to even look at you the wrong way." John hisses angrily before leaning down and cupping my face gently. "Tell me you didn't change your mind about us?" He pleads quietly.
"Of course I didn't. I love you and I want a future with you." I whisper, pressing my forehead against his. He gives me a quick kiss then takes my hand in his, intertwining our fingers, before turning to everyone in the room.
"I have claimed Michelle as my Old Lady. If anyone has a problem with that, you know where the door is." He announces, the threat clear in his voice, and I just sit there with a furious blush on my face. The patched-in members, Tyson and his guys start clapping with wide grins on their faces, while the women look furious, glaring at me murderously.
I bury my face in John's shirt, slightly afraid of those women. John just leaves a kiss on my hair, pulling me even closer.
"Damn! I did not expect to hear that!!!" A tattooed guy exclaims from the front door, shoving his hands into his pockets as he strolls through the room with a lazy grin, greeting the guys around with a wave.
"I'll be damned, look who came back!!!" John greets the man with hug, patting his back. "Ink, good to see you, brother."
"So... what is it that I'm hearing about an Old Lady? I was gone for a week and I come back to this... But if I remember correctly, and I do, your name was Layla when I last saw you." Ink gives me a strange look.
"Yeah, there's been a lot going on lately. I'll fill you in after we deal with some shitheads." Wolf says after greeting Ink.
"Ooooh, finally some action." Ink rubs his hands excitedly.
"I wouldn't be so happy. Those fuckers hurt Lia." John tells him, getting a furious look from Ink.
"What?! – he snarls – How is she?" He sounds really worried.
"She's with Blake in their room. We have those fuckers in the shed and we're going to deal with them today." As soon as John finishes, Ink rushes upstairs, I'm guessing to see Lia.
"Since when are they close?" Wolf wonders.
"He's friends with the guy who did the tattoo on her back. But I have no idea when they got so close."
After a while, Ink comes back, with Blake and Lia behind him. Just like earlier, Lia is being carried by Blake bridal style, looking sleepy, her eyes barely staying open.
"Let's get those fuckers while she's still awake." Ink chuckles, gesturing at sleepy Lia.
"Fuck off. You woke me up." She grumbles, wrapping her arm around Blake's neck and snuggles closer to him. So adorable.
"I want to go, too." I look at John expectantly. When I see clear refusal in his eyes, I huff angrily and clutch onto his arm. "I. Want. To. Go. Too!" I reiterate, giving him a hard stare.
"Precious, we're going to kill them and they won't get an easy death. I'm not sure you want to see it." John reasons, but I have no intention of listening to him. Not this time.
"They killed my dad! And they hurt my friend!!!" I scream at him. I expect him to argue, but all I get is a proud smile as he cups my cheek.
"Just let her come. If she can't handle it, she can leave." Lia says, glancing at us before burying her face back in Blake's neck.
"Fine, then. You can leave whenever you want, alright." John turns to me, giving me a meaningful stare.
"Okay." I lean up to peck his lips before grabbing his hand and leading him out of the room, completely ignoring the laughs from the guys around us.
"Your woman is quite feisty when she wants to be." Someone comments from behind us. John just chuckles, leading us to the mysterious shed.
The shed is located behind the east wing of the compound, hidden by the bushes. Killer is waiting in front of it, giving all of us a nod in greeting before opening the door. John stops me and lets everyone else come in first then leans down to my face.
"Are you sure you want to be there?"
"Yes. And you won't be able to change my mind." I declare, keeping my voice stern.
"We're not going to give them an easy death and it might be a little hard to watch."
"I'm supposed to be your Old Lady, for the good, the bad and the ugly." John gives me a deep kiss, crushing me to his chest.
"You're so hot, babygirl. Let's go, they must be waiting for us."
"Not really, no. We're enjoying the show." I hear Blake's voice behind me. My cheeks turn red. I didn't notice they were still there!
"You're cute." Lia teases, making Blake chuckle.
"Why didn't you go inside yet?" John grumbles.
"Killer is getting me a chair. I can't stand on my leg for too long." Lia explains.
"And you've been blocking our way, so..." Blake adds with annoying smirk.
"Come on, everything's ready." Killer calls out from the doorway.
"Killer?" Lia motions at him to come up to her. Once he does, she leans into his ear and whispers something into it. It looks quite weird, since she's in Blake's arms, but Lia can't look ridiculous even if she tried.
"Okay. Anything for you." Killer smiles – he actually smiles! – and gives Lia a pat on the head before walking inside the shed.
"What was that?" I question, my curiosity getting the best of me.
"You'll see." Lia replies, smirking mischievously with a sinister look in her eyes as Blake carries her inside.
I have never seen Lia so... evil. It's scary.
