I'm damn hysterical. For the last 4 days all I did was try to reach Lia, but she's not picking up. Is she avoiding me? Is she angry at me for not stopping John from saying those things? I talked to him after the whole ordeal and he actually apologized once he calmed down. He didn't mean anything bad, he was just stressed because he thought something happened to me. After being attacked by that Victoria girl just a day earlier, right at the clubhouse, he got extremely worried when he didn't see me inside, thinking the same thing happened.

"Precious, stop it... you're going to wear a hole in the carpet." John jokes, trying to lighten up my mood. I only give him a sigh, calling Lia's number again.

"One last time... Please..." I quietly mumble, but she still doesn't pick up. I plop down on the bed behind me and bury my face in my hands.

"She's not picking up! What do I do?" I cry out, getting a sad sigh from John as he sits down next to me. I wrap my good arm around him and snuggle into his side. The splint on my right arm is still bothering me, but I ignore it. My friend is more important.

"Don't be sad, Precious. She's mad at me, not you. But I assure you, I will do everything I can to get her forgiveness. She's like a little sister to me, and I don't want to lose her. I'm seeing this whole situation differently now, and I feel like shit when I think about the way I treated her. She didn't deserve that. Which is why I'm going to make it better. – I lean back to give him a questioning look – I need you to stay at the compound tomorrow. And I mean it, Michelle, I don't want you to leave while I'm gone."

"What do you mean 'gone'?" I implore.

"I'm going to talk to Lia. Face to face. I realized I was a fucking dick and if the roles were reversed and someone treated you this way, I would probably shoot them."

I open my mouth to ask him to take me with him, but he shuts me up with a kiss before I can even speak. "No, not a chance. It's almost 4 hour ride and I don't want to risk it with your arm." I frown and huff indignantly, turning my face away from him.

"I'd be fine!" I grumble.

"Babygirl, riding on a bike with your arm in a splint would be really painful for you, not to mention dangerous."

"We could take your car." I mumble grumpily, still facing away from him.

"The reason I decided to take my bike is because I'll be able to come back to you sooner." I perk up at this, turning back around.

"You know where she is!" I accuse, poking his chest with my finger harshly before wincing in pain when the said finger cracks and starts hurting. Damn his hard chest! I'm never poking him again.

"I'm surprised you don't." John gives me a slightly mocking look, as if I'm supposed to know where Lia went. "You know her. If she left Blake behind, then there's only one place she could go to."

"Her dad! – I exclaim quietly – She's in Chicago!!!" Why didn't I think of it earlier?! Of course that's where she would go!

"Yes, and that's where I'm going. Precious, please try to understand me. I'm the one that fucked up, so I should be the one to make it right." John persuades and I sigh, resigned.

"Okay."

"Thank you, babygirl. I'll fix it all. You won't lose your friend, and we won't lose our sister. She's way too important for me, for us, to treat her like this." John states with pure conviction.

"Thank you." I quietly say, snuggling even closer to him. I don't want to lose Lia, she's my one and only friend. My best friend. She made me realize who I am, she helped me stop pretending to be someone I wasn't and it's thanks to her that I met John. She's like the sister I never had.

"Don't mention it. I messed up so I have to make it right." John kisses my head lovingly and we stay like this for a while, sitting on the bed, just enjoying the peace.

Next morning John wakes me up in the best and most pleasurable way possible, which keeps us in bed for over an hour before we finally take a shower and head downstairs to have breakfast.

"I'm leaving in an hour, so I'll be able to come back before night." John informs the guys at the table. There's Gun, Wolf, Ink and Killer with us in the booth and I can tell they are angry at John. Probably about what happened 4 days ago.

"Good." Wolf mutters, staring at his plate. Killer just grunts, but Ink and Gun don't stop themselves from speaking their minds.

"You fucked up, so of course you should make it right. I'm surprised it took you so long." Gun grumbles, but I can hear the mockery in his voice.

"I hope Lia gives you hell. You don't deserve to be easily forgiven. She's done nothing but helped us, yet you treated her like dirt. She may not be one to hold grudges but this... This was fucking betrayal." Ink sneers harshly.

"I know I fucked up, alright?! I wish I could take back what I said, but I can't! I'm planning to go to Chicago to apologize to her, I want to make it right!" John exclaims, unconsciously tightening his hold of me.

"Good decision! – Ink mockingly cheers – Do you want us to applause you for that?" He tauntingly claps his hands, still glaring at my man.

"Ink! Don't forget that I'm the Prez of this club." John warns lowly.

"Guys, please. I think that what matters is that Jo-Tank - I correct myself quickly - is trying to make things right. Not everyone does that." I quietly add, surprisingly shutting the guys up.

"Prez Lady might be right. Let's not talk about this. Tank will take care of his mess himself." Gun sighs, ending the discussion.

I give him a grateful smile, happy that they won't antagonize my man anymore. It's stressful to see them all so stressed and on edge about this. Though I get why they're like that. Lia is important to them all and they don't want to lose her.

"You going alone?" Wolf implores.

"Yeah. But I need you to take care of my woman while I'm gone. That Ranger disappeared again and I don't want Michelle to get hurt, while she's vulnerable." John, being the loving man he is, puts my safety before his.

"She'll be safe here. We won't make the mistake of leaving her alone again. And Don and Blood are already hunting Ranger down. They'll bring him in few days, and then we'll have some fun with him." To say I'm shocked by Wolf's words is an understatement.

After Lia let the three guys out and the traitorous prospect was dealt with, the guys left to that Victoria's house to get Ranger, but again, he was gone. It's like he knows when to disappear.

"Fine. Call me if anything happens, okay?" John demands.

"Got it. Now go." Gun chuckles, waving John off.
