"You really didn't have to do this..." I say quietly, getting a gentle squeeze of my hand in response from John. He brought me to a restaurant called Taliano - weird name - and I feel extremely underdressed in jeans, a white blouse and my property cut. I wanted to show my man that I'm not ashamed of wearing it. It's an honor to have it on my shoulders.

"I wanted to... You deserve to be treated like a queen. Because you're my queen, my Treasure." I smile at him, blushing at the adoring tone of his voice.

"You know, Maggie told me she's your half-sister... - I start teasingly after we've both eaten - How come you never told me?"

"Oh, yeah... That big mouth. - he grumbles - Well. She's my father's first wife's daughter. My father met Magdalene still in San Francisco, where he was prospecting under his oldest brother. He became the Prez of the SF chapter after my grandfather moved here."

"What happened to her?" I lean my elbow on the table, curious about his past. I realized there is a lot I don't know about my man.

"Magdalene died about 3 years after having Maggie. It was an enemy club's attack. They opened fire at the club and killed half of the people there. - John sighs, making me gasp - After that, my father left with Maggie and moved here, where it was safer. He concentrated on the club and his daughter, not caring about finding someone else. But after years and years of being alone, it gets lonely. - He shrugs - And he met my mom. I was born a year later." He finishes with a chuckle, making me smile.

"What's it like to have a sister so much older than you?" I curiously ask. I've never had a sibling, so I don't know what it's like.

"Well, since Maggie is so much older, she was like a mother to me after I lost my mom. She was my support all throughout my childhood. Until she met that idiot Gun. - John grumbles, huffing in annoyance - I hated him with my fucking soul. He wanted to take my sister away from me and in my young mind I thought he had no right to do it. So I challenged him to a fight. I lost, obviously, but I still didn't accept him for a while. I guess I didn't want to lose my sister to him."

"Bad John. - I tease - Meddling in your sister's relationship." I giggle.

"Yeah, I wasn't exactly a poster kid for kindness. After Maggie and Gun got married, I got even worse. I felt like I lost my mom. And the trouble at school started. I was the typical bad boy, you know, getting in trouble, smoking, drinking, partying, fighting... My father... was a cold man, he's always been like that towards me, cause I was supposed to become the next Prez, so he felt like I needed to be... toughened up. But from what Maggie told me, he became like that only after my mother died. Losing both of the women he loved changed him.

When I got a little older, I decided to join the army. I realized I had to become more responsible, to take charge of my own life and grow up. I could never be a good President for the club if I didn't know how to... be an adult. A responsible adult."

"I'm glad I met you now that you're not a bad boy anymore. - I grin - I never liked guys like that." I playfully poke John's cheek, making him chortle.

"And I'm glad I met you. I always liked to make good girls go bad." He smirks in this annoyingly sexy way that makes me squirm.

"Well you failed with me. I'm not a bad girl and I don't think I'll ever be one." I smugly state.

"We'll see about that. You're a Prez Lady of a biker club. Who knows what you'll become." John jokes.

We stay in the restaurant for dessert before we head out. John rides back to town, but instead of the clubhouse, we head to the outskirts and I actually recognize the area, it's near Lia's neighborhood. Her house is actually few miles away from here. John stops near an empty plot of land at the end of the street. It's completely empty here, no houses, just parcels waiting to be developed.

"What is this?" I question as we stand in front of the car, staring at the land in front of us. It's a beautiful place, with a big yard, a forest in the back and cute fence around.

"This is a place I bought when I came back from the army. I wanted to build my house here..." John trails off, staring at me lovingly.

"What are you saying, John?" I ask, slightly unsurely. Is he saying what I think he is?

"I can't keep you at the clubhouse all the time, especially now that the little nugget is on the way. - he stands behind me and wraps his arms around my midriff, gently placing his palms over my stomach - What I'm saying is... I want to build our home here."

I turn in John's arms, facing him, then crane my neck to look into his eyes. "You really want a home with me..."

"Of course I do. - he grins at me - Do you maybe want to look around?" He tentatively ask, and I almost coo at his cuteness.

"Yeah, sure. But... there's nothing here..." I trail off unsurely, glancing around the area.

"That's because I'm gonna build it. - John chuckles - I even have the plans ready for you to see." With that he pulls me to the lot and shows me where everything will be. It's going to look great. According to the plans, it will be a two story house, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two of which will be adjoined to the master bedroom and the child's room, big spacey kitchen with wooden cabinets and marble countertops, an enormous living room which will also be a play room for the child and an office for when John wants to work from home, and in the basement there will be a gym for John and a storage room. All in all, it's going to be beautiful and homey.

John wants to leave the colors and décor to me, but I have no clue about this so I suggest taking an interior designer. I don't want to destroy this house before we even live there.

After our trip, we come back to the clubhouse, where we're met by none other than Lia. She's sitting by the bar with Gun, Maggie and Wrench. I stand still, not knowing what to do, while John immediately greets her cheerfully, catching her attention.

Lia turns around and grins at us. Seeing it as an opening, I rush to her and hug her tightly, beyond happy to see her.

"Lia!!! Oh God!!" I keep a death grip on my friend.

"Hey Squirrel. - she pats my head like a child then pulls away - Missed me?"

"I missed you. I missed you so much! Are you still angry at me? I'm so sorry I didn't say anything! Please don't hate me!" Lia chuckles in amusement and hugs me again.

"Let me look at you. You're really glowing! I can tell the pregnancy suits you." She winks with a teasing expression.

"How do you know about that?!"

"I know everything, Squirrel."

"What are you doing here?" John asks after hugging Lia in greeting. I was afraid their relationship would be strained but they act like nothing happened.

"I just... decided to visit before leaving for good. Blake and I are going on a vacation, and then we're heading straight to Berkeley. But I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye." Lia sighs, putting her hands in the pockets.

"Do you have to leave?" I don't care I sound whiny, I don't want to lose her.

"Yeah, Squirrel. I'm sorry. I just... I just want to rest after all that happened. It's been a hard time for me. And for Blake. You're safe here with Tank and the club."

"Okay... If that's what you want. I'll miss you, Lia." I pull her into a hug again.

"I'll miss you too. You can call me whenever you want, we'll stay in contact." Lia returns the hug then bids goodbye to everyone and leaves.

And just like that I'm alone again.
