Chapter 30 - Tank

You'd think that after so long, my woman would understand that I don't want her in danger. That I need to keep her safe, especially when she's injured. You'd think that she'd know better than to leave the clubhouse without me or one of my brothers. That's she'd know better than to trust a prospect after yesterday's shitshow.

But no! She apparently doesn't know better.

"Precious!!!" I bellow in pure fury as I see her walk in the common room, with Lia, Blake and prospect in tow.

"Calm your tits, Tank. – Lia passes by my girl, who stands frozen in the doorway, and comes up to me, not minding my anger – I need to talk to you." She quietly states before slowly walking towards the stairs.

"Lia!" I growl lowly, making sure she hears my displeasure.

"It's fucking serious, Tank. You can spank her later." She snarls my way then walks away.

I turn to Blake in question, not missing the blush on my girl's cheeks as she stands next to him. Suddenly spanking doesn't sound like a bad idea. "What's going on?"

"We'll tell you upstairs." Blake glances pointedly at the whores, wordlessly telling me that it's not for their ears.

"Guys, church. Again." I call out then walk up to my girl and swiftly pick her up, ignoring the quiet squeak from her as she tries to get out of my arms. "Don't. Even. Try." I warn her. She gives up and puts her face in the crook of my neck, sniffling quietly. I noticed the redness around her eyes, meaning someone made her cry.

"Prospect, you're coming too." I glance at Arthur and walk away.

We all enter the meeting room, setting on our seats. Lia leans against the closed door, crossing her arms over her chest, Blake does the same on her left, and the prospect stands on her right. I keep my girl in my lap, tightening my hold of her when I feel her try to move away.

"We talked to those three guys Victoria brought." Lia starts. I can tell by her tone she's not fucking around.

"What?! Why would you go there?!" Knife exclaims angrily and I shut him up. We need to hear the whole story.

"Let her speak. I'm sure she had a good reason to go behind our backs." I lean back in my chair, staring at Lia provokingly. I know I can trust her with both mine and my woman's life, but I wish she at least warned us about her plans. I almost got a heart attack when I saw the common room empty, especially after yesterday's attack.

"I wanted to hear what they have to say. I don't know if that counts as a good reason for you." Lia clearly isn't intimidated by my harsh tone.

"They told us everything. About Ranger, Michael, Michelle's father and the whole thing with Victoria." Blake adds.

"And you believe them?" I scoff.

"They had no reason to lie. – Lia sighs – But that doesn't mean I trust their words. We have to check it out, obviously, but at least we know what to look for." She sounds frustrated.

"Then why didn't they speak to Killer? Or Kian?" I implore, increasingly annoyed.

Lia shrugs. "How am I supposed to know that?! At first they blew me off like you! They only started talking after I told them I'm the Ghost! I revealed the secret I've been hiding even from Blake to them, just so they would talk!!!" She screams at us.

"I'm grateful, I really am, but couldn't you wait for us to go there with you!? You could've gotten hurt!" My anger matches hers, as I yell at her.

"Those guys are locked, there was no threat. You really think I wouldn't be able to keep Michelle safe?! Both Blake and I were there! We beat those guys once, we could do it again! You of all people should know better than to assume I would put my friend in a compromising position!!!" Lia yells at me before storming out the room, with Blake following right after her. Shit, I went too far.

"Fuck!" I groan then sigh tiredly.

"Arthur, tell us everything." Gun turns to the prospect. I glance at Michelle, who's been keeping her face buried in my shirt all this time. Her good arm is wrapped around my back, clutching onto my shirt. I feel bad about being so harsh with Lia, but anything could've happened! She should've told us she wants to talk to those three instead of going there while we were in church.

"Michael is dead. Ranger killed him after he found out Prez Lady is still alive. And they also said something about Prez Lady's father. I caught something about organ trafficking." Arthur frowns.

"Yeah. Michelle's dad was investigating a company involved in that and got killed because he found evidence against the group."

"Uh... Those three said... it was all fake. Ranger worked with a trafficking ring. He used the company's car and phone to avoid getting caught, then faked some files and gave them to the cops, then told those guys that were after Prez Lady and hurt Lia that the cop has evidence against the group and has to be... eliminated. He arranged everything. He was the one that was supposed to be killed, but he sent those fuckers after Prez Lady's father instead, to save his ass. The three prisoners were hired by Ranger to kill your woman, but they said that if they knew about her being Michael's family, they wouldn't agree to work with him. They said that going against your own blood is too low even for them." We attentively listen to him talk and I feel worse with each sentence. Lia found out so much and I snapped at her so badly. At the same time I feel for my girl. She just found out her dad died because of some stupid fucker's scheme.

"Shit." Gun breathes out, voicing everyone's thoughts.

After I send Killer, Kian, Blood and Don to Victoria's house to get that Ranger fucker, I carry my girl to our bedroom. I feel bad about snapping at Lia, but I can't let this whole thing slide.

"John?" My treasure backs away from me as soon as I put her on the ground.

"Come back here, baby." I sternly say, staying in my spot.

"N-No."

"No?" I raise my brow challengingly. She did not just say no to me.

"Wh-What will you do?" I prowl wordlessly towards her until she's trapped between me and the wall behind her.

"Let's just say your friend gave me a great idea." I smirk, quickly picking her up, making her yelp in shock. Thank god the walls of my room are thick.

"No! John! You are not spanking me!!!" She screams, trying to get out of my arms.

"Oh, but I am. Maybe then you'll remember not to give me a heart attack again." I gently lay my girl across my thighs, making sure to not hurt her shoulder, and rub her curvy ass through the shorts before patting it teasingly, just to see her reaction. She gasps quietly, but doesn't seem scared.

I reach down to unbutton the shorts then yank them down to her knees along with the panties, leaving her gorgeous ass bare.

"Count, baby." I order before delivering the first slap.

"Good girl. Are you sorry?"

"Only three left." I assure, swinging my hand again.

After a quick shower, we get ready for bed. We lie snuggled into each other over the covers, until loud knocking resounds around the room. I don't leave the bed as I yell at whoever's outside. "WHAT?!"

"Tank! The prisoners are out!!!" Wolf's distressed tone makes my stomach drop.
