the past few days as an official couple had been heaven. they did everything together, as they normally would but now they really did everything together. where one person went, so did the other. they were practically linked to each other.
no one said anything about them holding hands, no one said anything when they'd sneak out of class, it was amazing. they felt so free and completely in control of their own world.
the only person that really said anything about it was dustin.
dustin was over the moon when el told him the news. over the phone she could hear him screaming into his pillow.
"dusty calm down!" el laughed, "i cannot simply calm down, el! this is amazing news and my whole reason for existence is fulfilled! my purpose has been served! now i can lay at peace and watch you two be all mushy gushy!"
finally, the week was over and it was friday night. everything went by so fast but now they could spend time together without skipping school, or classes, or sneaking over. and they were so ready for the complete freedom and the weekend to come.

el waited impatiently for her boyfriend to arrive. she loved that, being able to call him her boyfriend. a smile crept upon her face just thinking about it. she thought about what they would do today, as far as she knew they didn't have anything planned. but lazy days sitting around the cabin were always one of her favorite things to do with mike.
soon enough, she heard his car coming down the road. she stood up from the chair on her porch and leaned on the railing. mike's car came to a stop a few yards away from the cabin and mike got out of the car. he walked towards the house and smiled at el, he jogged up the stairs and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. he kissed the top of her head and rested his chin on her head, "where were you eighth period?" he asked.
"oh, yeah i forgot to tell you i had a doctors appointment." she mumbled into his sweater, "also, hi."
el giggled and pulled out of his hug slightly so she stared up at his face. "so what are we going to do this evening?" she asked, "up to you, i guess." he shrugged, "can we have another lazy day?" she asked playing with the sleeve on his sweater.
"we've already had so many, what are we even going to do?"
el shrugged, "we can just cuddle," she suggested, "i like that idea." mike grabbed her hand and started walking toward the house when el pulled him back towards her. mike's eyebrows were tensed together in confusion but he soon relaxed when el placed her lips on his. "also, hi."
she laughed when he froze up and pulled him into the house. they got to her room and el jumped on her bed and wrapped herself in the blankets, mike chuckled and laid down next to her. el got annoyed that he wasn't cuddling her already so she scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. she noticed that he was staring at the ceiling above them, he was looking at the stars they painted.
