"What is there to explain!" Howard shouted while gripping his hair in shock.

"It makes so much more sense! You guys basically showed up at the same time!" He rambled out

I quickly walked over to him and shoved the palm of my hand against his mouth and shushed him.

"Can you get any louder right now Howard! Slow your roll I gotta catch something before we talk about this!" I whispered harshly with a serious look on my face. I lift my hand off his face and his lips remained shut. I sighed in relief before stepping back.

"Alright Howard I'm gonna transform and after that I'm gonna hunt something down, you stay there got it?" He nodded and gave me a thumps up after my reply. Right after that I held the mask up to my face and my transformation begun. After it was over with I turned around to check on Howard and his jaw dropped open. I let out a slight chuckle before jumping up in mid air and twisting my body until I transformed into petals. I let the wind carry me I twisted and turned with the wind through the alleyway. I spotted a glowing light and instantly knew it was that little pest.

As soon as I was close enough to it I noticed it perked up. Something definitely got it's attention but it sure wasn't me. Who exactly would gain it's attention other than me?

'Howard.'

It made sense since Howard wasn't too far away and that thing had a nack for sensing it's next prey. Hearing that Howard might be the next victim of this made me shoot down behind the creature in my petals form and returning back to normal. It twisted around to see me and stared

"We meet again big sister!" It said with a perky tone. I scowled and grit my teeth in response.

"I'm not your big sister." I said while slowly walking closer with my sword in hand. It seemed too distracted though for some reason to even notice my movement.

"Ayo is that rat glowing!" I can feel a tick mark appear on my head as I facepalmed and sighed knowing damn well it was Howard who said that behind me.

"Howard I told you to stay where you were! So fuck me am I right?" I said while sighing again dramatically after I twisted my torso to look back at him.

"So you just want me to stay in one spot alone in a mysterious scary alley that I followed you through... oh hell no." He deadpanned.

"It's not even that scary!" I yelled out.

"Says the bitch with powers!" He yelled back while pointing.

Ok he kinda has a point there.

While we were bickering the "rat" in question leapt into action. It ran past me before I realized it and shot toward Howard attaching itself to him. It's tail elongated and wrapped around his arm, making it clear he was trying to link together with Howard. Howard freaked for a second but his feared expression morphed into a calm one in the matter of seconds. I could tell that it was using it's telekinesis to communicate with him but I didn't know what the hell that thing was saying. The creature perched up on Howards shoulder.
I called his name but it was far too late at that point and the time I had to execute that thing before it takes over my friend and gets him killed became a ticking time bomb. I would never be able to face Randy, Danny, or Jake again if I failed Howard. Nor will I forgive myself.

'Look! I made a new friend big sister!'

"Ya (y/n), why are you freaking out over this cute small creature. Hey let's keep em and name him pork chop." He suggested. Normally I would've laughed at the name suggestion but unfortunately the situation at hand only made me more nervous than ever. I just faked a smile on my face and pretended to lower down my guard in order to take a leap of faith in this plan I made in a matter of seconds.
