Eren knocked on the door, feeling extremely nervous again. This was his first briefing, and he was really eager to please his superior. He checked the clock- 7:29 am. Whew. He thanked god for his punctual habits.

"Come in." A curt voice interrupted his thoughts and he hurriedly stepped inside the plush office.

"Uh...wow," The words escaped from his throat. It was huge. And amazing.
And so goddam clean. My mom would feel so offended.
"What?" Levi eyed him from his table.
"Sorry, it's just...your office looks amazing, sir."
"Of course it does." Levi closed his laptop and stared at Eren through bored eyes.
"So you're Eren Jäger." He said after a moment.
Eren didn't know what to say except "Yessir." The incredibly weird feeling in his gut acted up again. He tried not to stare too much at his boss, but it was surprisingly hard not to.

"Are you going to just stand there, Mr.Jäger? I told you to sit."
When did he....?
Eren decided not to question him and do as he said.
When he was seated, Levi began.
"I called you early to tell you about a few things. Firstly, I'll be making my rounds at 8 to meet my new team members. Not that I want to see you brats' faces, it's just a formality. Now, since my shitty secretary just took a huge dump a while ago, he won't be coming near me anytime soon. So I'll need you to introduce me, since I don't do crappy meet-and-greets. You are acquainted with them, right?" He raised an eyebrow at Eren, who nodded furiously. "So don't look nervous. Second, the distressed debt team will be having a meeting with me in the afternoon. You will be sitting beside me so you can see how we work. Not my idea, believe me."
Oh, I do, Eren thought in more excitement than nerves.

"But they like you for some reason so here I am, telling you all this. Next thing you know, they'll make you branch manager.

"Third, I have team huddles with my leadership team every morning at 6. Feel free to join from tomorrow. I still don't get why a shitty brat like you gets so many privileges."

"Um, they told me I was exceptional or something. I really don't know about that." he grinned in embarassment.

Levi surveyed him "We'll see. You may go for now. If you work hard you can get good bonuses. Dismissed."

As Eren got up, he thought he saw the CEO slightly panting as he opened his laptop again.
But he must be out of breath because he said all that so fast.

Eren closed the door behind him and leaned against it, blowing air out of his mouth. His heart thudded heavily. There was just something about Levi's air that made him feel different, and he couldn't figure out why he felt so drawn towards him.
Must be what Armin was talking about.

"This is Bertholdt.." Eren struggled to pronounce his name "..Hoover."
The guy with the short black hair squinted at him, then turned to Levi and nodded respectfully.
"Nice to meet you, sir."
Levi merely grunted and looked at the next person. Nobody could understand why Eren of all people was the one doing the introducing. They knew he was really smart, but not that smart.
"Sasha Braus, sir!" The girl with the ponytail jumped up and smiled before Eren could say anything. "Very nice to meet you!"
Levi's expression remained as bored as ever. When the others- Connie Springer, Thomas Wagner, Jean Kirstein and Mina Carolina were introduced, he turned to Eren. "The meeting's now. Let's go."
"Ah, yes!" Eren looked at the others apologetically and hurried to catch up with the shorter man's quick stride. He's surprisingly fast.
The rest of the employees could only gape at their retreating figures.
"He's participating in meetings, now?! Ugh!" Connie scowled.
"Come on, guys, let's not be jealous. We don't need to dislike him because of that." Thomas said brightly.
Mina piped in "Yeah, I mean, we all feel a bit jealous right now, but imagine the pressure on that guy. Anyways, let's get back to work, we have a lot to do!"
Everyone snapped back to reality and sat down in their seats in a hurry.

"Why me?" The man screamed.
"Stop yapping. Don't be such a coward, you're not a child anymore." The gruff voice replied.
"What if I get caught?! I can't do this."
The older man took out a suitcase full of cash, making the younger one choke on his own spit.
"What?" He croaked.
"Take it or leave it. But if you leave it, I'll have to silence you. I know you need the money, son."
"B-but..."
"YES OR NO?!!" The man roared, making the other whimper.
"All right!" He bit his lip to keep from crying.
