"Hanji recommended this place, don't blame me."
I tried to grumble, but even I was in awe at the place.
It was called Waldo, an isolated night club which only someone like Zoë could go to. I had expected the worst, but it wasn't that bad. I hoped.
Eren and I pushed our way through the dancing crowd to get to the bar. No way was I dancing. I hoped Eren felt the same about himself.
We shouted our drinks at the counter. Music blared around us as I stared at the bartender's name tag.
Onyakopon. What a weird-ass name. But not one I was unfamiliar with, given my constant trips abroad.
He grinned at us, showing a thumbs-up. His teeth were a stark white against his dark skin. This place certainly looked very diverse. I surveyed the area and sure enough, people who looked like they were from every corner of the world were dancing together. The place was loud as fuck, but nobody seemed to mind.
"Sexy outfit, by the way." Eren said loudly, pointing at my clothes and smirking.
"It was forced upon me, bastard." I scowled, unsure of myself. I didn't want to know why shitty glasses had a top like this exactly my size. I felt highly awkward in it, hoping against hope that no one knew me here. My clothes were revealing, to say the least. It was some weird black leather pants which had belts looped around my thighs topped with a fishnet.
I looked at Eren's black form-fitting top. It was ripped at the shoulders and the back, matching his ripped jeans. He looked... highly attractive, I had to admit. But again, I didn't ask him why he had something like that in his wardrobe just lying around.
Still, I couldn't help but avert my eyes from his constant gaze. Why the hell did he like to stare at me so much? It'd become our awkward first weeks together all over again.
"Hey." He bumped his shoulder against mine and laced our fingers together. "After drinks, may I ask you to dance with me?"
Oh no.
I groaned at him, and he understood the look in my eyes. That didn't mean he let me get my way. He snaked a hand around my arm and kissed me hard. I grit my teeth so he wouldn't be able to invade my mouth. He drew back in surprise. I continued giving hil a cold stare.
"Please, Levi.." He whined softly. "This is our first date, and you won't even participate properly."
"Who said this was a date?" I pulled my arm out and held his chin to properly glare at him. "I'm. Not. Dancing."
"It's not fair!" He pouted.
"Eren, I'm tired as hell, but I still wanted to take you here. Just listen to me for god's sake."
"Fine then. Geez. I'll go myself." He mumbled under his breath. "You're such a bore."
I picked up my glass of beer and tipped it down my throat, feeling the familar burn as it traveled down. It reminded me of our first time in the bar together.
Eren quickly gulped down two glasses of wine, much to my alarm. I didn't know he had it in him.
"Well, then!" He exhaled and put the glass down hard. "I will...see you, sir.."
He got up to his feet and slammed his mouth into mine. His breath reeked of alcohol and he tasted like it too, but then again, I probably did too.
"Don't go too far." I called out after him as he disappeared into the crowd. I felt kind of bad that I wasn't there to give him company, but it was too late now.

"Floch?" I grabbed the man's shoulder. I saw his surprised face as he turned to me, which melted into a look of recognition.
"Hey! It's Eren!!" He shouted, grinning, and thumped my back. Someone collided into my back as the beat picked up on the dance floor.
"Hey, watch yourself, man!" Floch pushed the guy who had bumped into me. "That's my friend here!"
"Floch, I thought you were in Germany!" I went closer to him. His mop of reddish-brown hair and his foxlike features were the same as ever. "What are you doing here?"
"Woah, man. You been drinkin'? Heh- never thought you'd come to a place like this, Mr.Topper." He covered his nose.
"I think I'm slightly drunk." I admitted.
"Listen, it's too damn loud here, let's get some alcohol- more for you- and go somewhere quiet." He gestured to a door off into a corner. It looked suspicious, but I couldn't trust my own perception in my intoxicated state.

The room was small and private. Nice. We could barely hear the dj yelling into his mike as he announced the next song, which was apparently a slow, romantic one.
"Welcome to the lounge." Floch spread his arms dramatically. The two bottles of whiskey in his hand clinked together.
"Yeah, yeah." I plopped down onto a velvet sofa. It sunk under Floch's weight as he sat down beside me, then poured the whiskey for both of us. We touched our glasses together.
"Cheers."
"So tell me, again.." I took two big gulps. "You done with police training in Germany? Is that why you're here?"
He paused as he was about to take a sip and put his glass down on the coffee table.
"No man, I got kicked out." The corners of his mouth turned down and his shoulders slumped. I straightened myself to pat him on the shoulder. "Hey, I'm sorry about that. What happened?"
"I don't wanna talk about it." He leaned back on the velvet. "Life sucks."
I looked at him. In the relatively brighter room, I could see that he had aged. We had been friends in high school, more involved in fights than actually talking. He had been very passionate and strong then, but now he looked like the life had been drained out of him.
"So what're you doing these days?" He grinned at me tiredly.
"Banking."
"Cool. And Mikasa? Is she here?"
"No, why?"
"Just asking. What about Armin? Or the chicks you used to hang out with- Ymir, Historia?"
"None of the above." I raised an eyebrow. "You must be really desperate and lonely."
"Hah, tell me about it. But wait- you came here alone?"
"No, um..." With my boyfriend, I wanted to say but he started laughing. "You have me, I see!"
"No, Floch, I meant...woah." I felt incredibly sleepy, and my body felt heavier than usual. I wasn't very drunk yet, so I felt a little worried. I started to get up. "Well, good thing we met, Flo-"
"You're still hot as fuck, Jaeger." He sneered.
"Um, I'm sorry?" I slowly sat back down.
"You in a relationship with someone?"
"Uh, yeah.." I felt a tad uncomfortable.
"Good, 'cause I'm going to kill them."
