Chapter 9: I'm going back

Ayaw kong magpadalos-dalos ng desisyon lalo na at nakasalalay dito ang anak ko. I used my connections para magawan ng passport si Daze at syempre ako. I have a dual citizenship because I was born here in California as well as my son kaya hindi ko na pinoproblema ang visa. I looked upon the mirror on my walk in closet.

I looked at my reflection, my features are more matured compared to what I looked like 9 years ago. I'm still Caessandra Isabella Santos in name but as years pass by, everything starts to change.

I can picture out my look 9 years ago, the lady with the red dress that was young and naive. I closed my eyes and opened it once again, lumapit ako sa salamin at hinubad ang robang nakatakip sa katawan ko. I've done a laser treatment for my stretch marks kaya hindi na sya visible sa katawan ko. Mabuti nalang at walang komplikasyon sa panganganak ko sa kambal kaya normal delivery ang nangyare.

Iba na ang korte ng katawan ko, my boobs are larger in size, mas malaki din ang hips ko and well, my legs are proportional to my upper body. It has been 9 years pero klarong-klaro saakin kung paano hinalikan, dinilaan at sinip-sip ni Duke ang mga bahagi ng katawan ko.

Kung hindi kaya kami nagkakilala noh? Siguro nagtatrabaho ako sa isa sa mga pinakasikat na hotel sa Pilipinas, pero dibale na. Dahil din naman sa kanya nagkaron ako ng dalawang anak at naging hotel owner ako.

Lumapit ako sa drawer ng bra ko, my fingers traced my silky brassieres. I stopped on the cream white one, it has a lacey design but it has a cup, may pares itong panty kaya agad ko yung isinuot. Kumuha din ako ng isang creamy white turtle neck and a pair of red velvet coat and skirt.

I didn't bother to blow dry my hair, I just comb it and go out to see my little baby Daze. Lumabas ako sa kwarto at agad na binuksan ang pintuan sa tabi ng kwarto ko which is the room of the little big boss. Nakita ko agad syang nagaayos ng kanyang polo, nakita ko syang namimili ng salamin na gagamitin.

Daze also have a hobby of collecting glasses even if he doesn't have an eye problem. He just use it for fashion. Napatingin agad sya saakin, he smiled a little.

"Good Morning Mommy" he said softly. Kumuha sya ng isang AX1035 Armani Exchange para suotin. He looks cute on his nerdy look, mana sa ama ang bawat angulo ng mukha.

"Good Morning Daze" I said and walk into his room.  He eyed my outfit, I knew he liked red. Maybe because of that red dress when I became a woman while having a night with his father?

"You look good mommy"sabi nya at kinuha ang bag nya. He reached for my hand, it's our daily routine. I'm going to his room and hold his hand to bring him to the kitchen and because kuya arrived here last day then he will be in charged to cook our meal.

Daze is not a talkative type of kid when it comes to other persons well except for his friends and family. He also had long legs that is proportional to his body and he wasn't circumcised yet but nevertheless, he is taller than the average height of his fellows having the same age as his.

Napatingin ako sa chandelier sa gitna ng bahay near the stairs. It's a square glass chandelier, actually plano ko talagang ipatanggal yan kasi parang delekado na dahil ilang taon na din ang chandelier na yan. Maglilimang taon na ata at kailangan na palitan ng bago para mas matibay.

Napatingin ako kay Daze nang napansin kong kasing tangkad nya na ang handrail. I smiled, ang bilis nyang lumaki. Parang noon tinuturuan ko pa sya kung paano magsalita. Napansin nya yata na nakatingin ako kaya napatingin din sya saakin.

"You look handsome Daze",I commented. He smiled a little, inayos nya din ang salamin nya bago ngumiti saakin.

"I always do when it comes to you mommy" He said.

I chuckled and said "Always do baby".

Dahil sa sobrang pagkamiss ni Daze kay Kuya Arien ay nagpasyal muna sila ng Pacific park. What I didn't like about Daze is that, he likes mirror rooms. Well, it's a kind of awkward because everytime I go inside a mirror room, I feel weird and that I can remember some scenes of 'that' night.By the way I'm planning to go to Zelo's Condominium.

  Zelo is my boyfriend for five years and counting and he knew and saw how I praise and hate Duke at the same time. I want to tell him about my plan to go to the Philippines, he should know at least after all he's my partner.

When he opened the door he immediately hugged me so I hugged him back. He then kissed my forehead. He smiled at me and kissed the tip of my nose. I quite miss him, he's kinda busy kasi because of his Job as a international event organizer. He was the great "Zelo Mendez" after all.

"You're here" he said and let me in. Agad kong napansin ang mga nagkalat na invitation sa sahig ng condo nya. Medyo naaawa na nga ako dito kay Zelo, lahat ba naman ng event na hinahawakan nya puro pamalakasan. Kung hindi politicians ay mga mayayamang tao ang nagpapaorganize ng event sa kanya.

"You look terrible Zelo, you're work loaded with too much tasks. Maybe you should find an efficient secretary para makatulong sya sayo diba?" He just looked at me.

"I can't, ayaw kong magselos ka." There I smiled. Zelo knows me too well that he even know what my likes and dislikes. I chuckled

"Zelo, I've been living here in LA for 9 years already. I started the legacy of Satos Luxury here in california and I bet, I need to go back to my home town" His smile was washed away from his face, napalitan yun ng pagkadisgusto.

"Are you serious?" Tanong nya na may along pangamba, pag-aalala at pagkalito.

"I am" sabi ko. Bumagsak ang balikat nya at nagmukhang bigo. "Tomorrow night is my flight sasama ako kay Kuya and isasama namin si Daze" I'm just here para magpaalam ang to inform you na wag mo muna kaming sundan kasi this is a family affair" sabi ko. Napatingin sya saakin ng madiin.

"But what about Duke?" Tanong nya. I want to tell him that Duke is the exact reason why I'm leaving but that will just make him furious. Natatakot ako sa maari nyang gawin kapag nalaman nya kung ano talaga ang gusto kong mangyari.

"Well be there because my mom and dad want to know more about there grand son not for Duke" sabi ko kaya napa ohh nalang sya. "That's it... Kaylangan ko nang mag-ayos Fred is waiting for me outside so I have to go..." I kissed his cheeks before I say "Goodbye" and go back to my house leaving him shocked.

I looked at the airplanes that are flying up the sky. I was pulling my luggage and sigh. Si Daze naman ayaw nyang iwan ang mga toy cars nya kaya yun lang ang dinala nya sa backpack na inilagay nya sa bagage ni Kuya. Tamad namang naglalakad si Daze kasama ako na bit-bit ang Jacket nya. Si Zelo naman hindi nakahabot may sudden meeting daw with a Client.

Habang si Kuya dala ang mga laguge nya na sobrang dami, mukha syang nagdadala ng mga damit ng hari ng kung anong bansa.

Pumunta kami agad kung saang eroplano kami sasakay. Exited na exited si Daze kaya hindi sya mapalagay at doon sya sa malapit sa bintana habang ako doon lang sa tabi nya at sa tabi ko si Kuya.Pumikit ako ng matapos ng magannounce ng kung ano any piloto at unti-unti nang tumataas ang eroplano.

I wish that when I wake up I can face the reality that I've been escaping for years...
