chapter 15: Confusion

I sigh, I was looking at Zelo while he was laughing at Daze. Naguusap lang silang dalawa simula pa nang dumating si Zelo. He said dumating sya dito around 5 in the morning and nagpasundo kay Kuya Arien sa airport. Kuya keeps on glancing at me, all I did was to snob him.

Hindi ko alam kung anong pumasok sa utak ni Zelo para sundan ako sa pilipinas and hindi pa sya nagpaalam saakin. I didn't say that I don't want him here pero masyadong risky para sa relasyon namin kung malalaman nya ang plano kong negosasyon kay Duke para makuha si Satos.

Hindi naman ganito katigas ang ulo ni Zelo pero hindi ko alam kung bakit ganito sya ngayon. I'm quite disappointed of his sudden arrival, nagulat ako and hindi ko parin alam kung hanggang keylan sya dito.

"Caessandra" napalingon ako sa likod ko kung nasan nakatayo si Papa, huminga sya ng malalim at sinenyasan ako para sumunod tyaka tumalikod para lumabas ng bahay.

Napahinga naman ako ng malalim, tinignan ko si kuya na nakatitig saakin. Alam kong gusto nya din akong makausap pero pinipigilan nya lang ang sarili. Nilingon ko muna sina Zelo at Daze na nagtatawanan parin tyaka ako tumalikod para sundan si papa.

Natigil kami ni papa sa pool area, sa gilid ng bahay. Nakita ko dun si Mama na nakaupo sa pool side at umiinom ng oranga juice. Binigyan nya ako ng tipid na ngiti, naupo din ako sa gilid nya. Nang nilingon ko si papa ay tahimik lang syang pumasok sa loob.

"Mom, bat mo po ako tinawag?" I asked. She then offered me another orange juice and looked away.

I feel tensed at hindi ko alam kung bakit. Ni hindi ko inasahan ang pagdating ni Zelo, everything aren't flowing at my plan. The things I felt when Duke is near now Zelo's appearance. Hindi ko na alam kung paano paaayunin lahat sa plano ko, I don't have any other plans dahil hindi talaga ako sanay sa mga plano. Looking back 9 years ago, I'm planning to be a simple hotel staff with a enough salary for my family and for my self. Now I became a hotel owner with two sons and one of it was kidnaped and I still don't know how did Ma. Angela Clent became the guardian of my other son.

Though I'm already arguing with my self inside my head, I remained calm. I can't just show my emotions overflowing, I don't want my mother to know the truth about Zelo-that he is not Daze's biological father-, My plan of getting back my son Satos, and about Duke being the biological father of my sons. Magaling sa puzzles si Mama, she's a detective's daughter for heaven's sake and that made me a detective's grand daughter.

So back to the topic, I'm already showing nothing but an emotionless face and I knew my eyes would turn cold. Nang nilingon ako ni Mama ay napatigil sya, I saw a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes. Mom knew me too well and it's new for her to see my emotionless face. I always show my emotions back then but a thing that I've learned when I was trying to get my self fixed when I have to face investors and guestd of my hotel is that I should always face them with cruelty because there is no mercy when it comes to money and if you are weak then you are not welcomed as one of the bosses.

"Caessandra, What's with you and Zelo?" She asked. Mom is being careful in that state, well? I must admit, she is blunt and direct to the point but now she's being playing with her tactics over me.

I already made up a conclusion on my mind, she's not asking me about my relationship with Zelo. She is asking me about my problem with Zelo's appearance. I sip on my orange juice but I immediately spill it out of my mouth when I tasted something unnatural. I know that taste, my Psychologist has been giving me that as a drink whenever she was trying to interrogate me when we are having a check up! I can't believe her!

"Didn't you-" hindi ko na pinatapos ang pagsasalita nya.

"Are you trying to trick me Mom?!" Tanong ko dito. She was shocked on my reaction, I never tried to shout at her, just now.
