Enemy
"You should try this!" Sigaw ko kay Arabella na ngayon ay naglalaro sa kaniyang doll house habang ako naman ay inilalabas lahat ng klase ng mga branded na pang make up! My mother gave it to me after they went to Paris! So automatically it's imported!
Hindi ako pinansin ni Arabella sa halip ay lalo pa siyang naglaro ng kaniyang manika. Damn it! Arabella should cooperate! Daniel will look up to me if I put some make up! He's my new crush after all! He shouldn't see me ugly! Lumapit ako kay Arabella at hinila siya paharap sa salamin.
"Emerald! I don't want to do make ups!" Sabi niya habang may pagpadyak pa sa kaniyang paa. I glared at her. She's my closed friend but we are ultimately opposite. While she wants to play with her toys I want to be matured and old enough even if I'm still 12 years old.
"You will just play a role like a judge! You will make some judgements about my make ups okay?" I said. Nakumbinsi ko naman siya. Inihanay ko na ang iba't ibang klase ng make up na nasa aking bag.
"Where did you get it?" She asked while looking at my accessories.
"My mom gave it to me Arabella." I said.
Tuwing weekends I always visit Arabella in her home to play with. I don't have siblings and my parents are always in abroad to attend for their business. So Arabella Williams became my best friend and also like a sister to me.
Nagsimula na akong mag make up sa aking sarili habang nakaharap ako sa salamin at pinapanuod ako ni Arabella. Nang matapos ako ay narinig ko ang pagpalakpak ni Arabella na nakapagpangiti sa akin.
"You are good Emerald! You're so pretty!" She said with excitement. I giggled with her and I watch myself on the mirror. I don't know why it became my hobby. Maybe it's because I always saw it on tv or I watch mommy to do it. Mommy is also a fashionista like me!
Napatigil lang kami ni Ara ng may biglang kumatok sa kaniyang pinto.
"Emerald uuwi na tayo!" Rinig kong sinabi nang yaya ko. Napasimangot ako kay Ara.
"Just wait!" I shouted. Tumingin ako kay Ara dahil mukhang nalungkot din siya dahil aalis na ako. Mag babakasyon kasi kami nina mommy at daddy sa Italy kaya buong summer akong mawawala. Oh no! I will miss Arabella!
"I will miss you Ara!" I said while embracing her.
"Me too!" I heard her sobs. Ngumiti ako dahil napaka emosyonal ng best friend ko.
"Don't cry! I'll come back don't worry!" I said to assure her. Tumango siya sa akin.
"Before you go, wipe your make up! Malalagot ka kay tita!" Sabi nito. She's very concern with me. She don't want me to be scolded again by my parents, mommy isn't agree with me to put some make ups! She said that I'm very young to learn this.
Nang matapos akong mag ayos ng mukha ay sinamahan ako ni Arabella sa kanilang mataas na gate. Mamimiss ko din ang malaki nilang mansyon. Arabella's family is very rich, her family is one of the biggest tax payer here in the country kaya kailangan na ganito kataas ang kanilang gate. And also their mansyon is like a palace like in Disney!
Nagyayakapan pa kami ni Arabella ng biglang may unggoy na nagsalita sa likod namin. Ay! Wala nga palang unggoy na nagsasalita! I mean Perseus Samuel Williams, Arabella's older brother.
"Sa wakas! My summer will be Emerald free." Sabi nito na may ngisi sa labi. I glared at him. Kumukulo talaga ang dugo ko dito sa lalaking ito!
"Kuya shut your mouth!" Arabella shouted her brother. Tumitig sa akin si Perseus kaya tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.
"Well, my summer will also monkey free. Wala akong makikitang unggoy na nagsasalitang katulad mo!" Sigaw ko.
Arabella and me laugh at what I've said. I saw how irritated Perseus is! Buti nga sa kaniya! He's always mean to me kahit wala naman akong ginagawang masama!
Lumapit siya sa akin, haharangan sana ako ni Arabella pero hinigit lang siya ng kuya niyang pikunin. I crossed my arms and I equal his intense eyes.
"You better go out now Emerald..." he said in a very mad voice. He's like a kingkong ready to start a war!
Malaki ang naging ngiti ko sa kaniya bago ako tumalikod but before I walk I uttered some words.
"See you soon Enemy.." I said before I waved goodbye.
