It was was nearly two months since Rosé and Jennie's fight. Neither of them tried to contact the other. Only one of them was hurt over their argument, and it wasn't Roseanne. In fact, she was doing just fine after a few days. Even now, she's doing great.
She was out with friends at the moment, and Jennie hadn't once crossed her mind.
"Rosé, you dumb bitch," Joy laughed, watching Rosé try to get a fresh coffee stain out of her white shirt.
"Stop making fun of me, and help me get it out," Rosé pouted, aggressively wiping her shirt with a napkin.
"You shouldn't have worn a white shirt in the first place," Jimin rolled his eyes.
"Again," Rosé said. "Help. Don't scold."
"You know what could help?"
"What?" Rosé looked at Joy.
"A washing machine," the girl smiled. "Let's get you home, so you can change, then we can come back."
"Smart idea," Jimin said, grabbing his stuff. "Let's go."
The two girls grabbed their stuff as well, they they headed out. Joy drove to Rosé's house and parked in front of the driveway.
"Whose car is that?" Jimin asked, not recognizing the Dodge in his ex's driveway.
"Could be one of Alice's friend's car," Rosé shrugged it off, unbuckling her seatbelt, "or it could be Alice's."
"And you're just gonna go inside, not knowing whose it is?" Joy asked.
"Yep," the older girl nodded. "I'll be right out."
Rosé got out of the car and went to her doorstep. She took her keys out of her bag, unlocked the door, and walked in. She shut the door behind her and locked it back. She dropped her bag by the door and went to go upstairs. Before she got up the first stair, she stopped.
"Wait a minute," she said to herself.
The girl turned around and found the last person she'd expect to be on her couch right now.
"Jennie?"
Jennie finally stood from her spot on the couch. "Surprise?"
Rosé let out a small scoff. She took out her phone and texted Joy.
chae🥺: leave
joy✋🏻: pardon me? 😗✌🏻
chae🥺: just leave. i'll explain later

joy✋🏻: ok we're leaving 😔

"What are you doing here?" Rosé asked as Jennie walked over to her.
"I missed you," Jennie tried to grab her girlfriend's hand, but Rosé quickly pulled it away.
"They just let you come here by yourself?" the older girl crossed her arms over her chest. "Or is Jackson with you?"
Jennie rolled her eyes. "Don't be like that."
"Be like what, J?"
"Like this," the younger girl pouted. "You're not acting like your usual self."
"Because you pissed me off—"
"I didn't even do anything—"
"You dodged my questions—"
"You accused me of something I would never do—"
"You've done it before, what's keeping you from doing it again?"
"You," Jennie said. "You are what's keeping me from doing it again. I would never do that to you, and you know that."
"Do I?" Rosé asked.
"Yes," Jennie pushed the older girl's hair behind her ear.
Rosé shut her eyes, leaning away from her touch.
"I wouldn't do that to you," the younger girl whispered, her hand traveling down Rosé's arm, grabbing her hand.
"Stop it, Jennie," the older girl's voice went out, shaking her head.
"Look at me."
Rosé opened her eyes. Jennie was in front of her, placing her hand on her face.
"I'm sorry."
"Get away from me, Jennie."
"I came here to apologize," Jennie ignored her girlfriend. "That's what I intend to do—"
"Get off of me, Jennie."
"I want to make it up to you—"
"Jennie," Rosé pushed the girl off of her, tears threatening to spill from her eyes, "stop."
"All I wanted to do was make you happy," Jennie said.
Rosé shook her head, turning around. "I don't need you to make me happy anymore," she made her way up the stairs.
"What?" Jennie followed her up the stairs.
"You are not the center of my happiness anymore," Rosé went into her room. "I don't think of you and smile anymore."
Her words were a little harsh, but it wasn't the truth.
"It sounds like you're saying you don't love me anymore," Jennie said. "Is that what you're saying?"
"I don't know, Jennie," Rosé let out a sigh. "I don't exactly know how I feel about you right now. I just know I don't feel the same as I used to."
Silence.
"So are we breaking up, then?"
The older girl looked at Jennie. "I thought we already did."
Jennie scoffed as tears began falling out of her eyes. "This isn't what I wanted for us, Roseanne."
"Yeah, it's not what I wanted either," Rosé pursed her lips together, looking away. "I had things very different from this in mind."
"Like what?" the younger girl asked.
Rosé moves to look at her again. "Nothing," she said, quietly. "You need to leave, Jennie. Now. Before Alice comes home, or before I lose my fucking mind."
Jennie nodded. "You're probably right."
The idol wiped her tears and left the room. Rosé stood there until she heard her front door shut. She let in a shaky breath as her tears finally fell down her face.
"How did everything manage to get so fucked up?"
