It's been about a month since Jennie came back from Korea for good. She and Rosé were back together, happier than ever, and things were going great.

"I'm so nervous," Jennie said as she looked out the window.

Rosé placed her hand on her girlfriend's leg to stop it from bouncing. She rubbed up and down her thigh as she watched the road in front of her.

"You'll be fine, J."

"What if they don't like me?"

The older girl rolled her eyes. "My parents will love you," she said. "They'll probably love you more than me."

Jennie let out a small laugh. "How is it that this is my first time meeting them, and we've known each other for years?"

"They're never home," Rosé shrugged, "and when they are home, you're not home."

"I guess we just got lucky this time," the younger girl said.

"I guess so," Rosé said as she put the code in to open the front gate. "We're here."

"It's been so long since I've been here."

"Yeah, last time you were here we—"

"That's enough," Jennie cut her girlfriend off as she parked the car in the driveway. "Let's go."

The girls got out of the car and Rosé grabbed Jennie's hand, giving it a light squeeze. They walked through the front door and went left into the living room.

"엄마!" Rosé yelled.

"Coming!" Rosé's mother yelled from upstairs.

Jennie squeezed her girlfriend's hand, moving closer to her.

"She doesn't bite," Rosé teased.

The two heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and looked up to see Rosé's mother practically running down her spiral staircase.

"Oh, Rosé!" she said, excitedly.

She gave her daughter a hug and kissed her cheek.

"Hi, Mom," Rosé hugged her mother back.

Her mom smiled, then looked at Jennie. "Oh, my goodness," she said. "You are so stunning."

Jennie smiled. "Thank you so much."

"I can't believe you're dating the Jennie Kim," Rosé's mother shook her head in disbelief. "She could do way better."

"Mom!" Rosé whined.

"I'm only kidding."

"Sure," the girl rolled her eyes. "Where's Daddy?"

"Upstairs in the office," her mother said. "You two go and say hello, I'll be in the kitchen cooking dinner. Your sister should be here soon!"

Rosé grabbed Jennie's hand and led her up the stairs.

"What if he doesn't like me?" Jennie said quietly.

"Then don't take it personally," Rosé let out a small chuckle. "He doesn't even like me."

The two walked into Rosé's father's office and Jennie was completely shocked.

His office was beautiful. It was huge. It had tons of books, covered in dark colors, and the only thing that was semi-dirty was his desk. He hadn't even looked up when they walked in.

"Roseanne," he stated.

"Hello, Father," Rosé said.

Jennie looked at her. Her entire accent changed. It was almost like she had a posh accent, but the Australian version.

He finally looked up and acknowledged the two.

"What brings you to my office to interrupt my work?"

Rosé raised her eyebrow. "This is the girlfriend I've been telling you about," she said.

"Mm," he hummed.

He turned his attention from Rosé and looked at Jennie. His eyes widened and his eyebrows raised. He stood up from his chair and went to greet the girl.

"Jennie Kim," he shook her hand. "Goodness, Roseanne, how did you end up dating the Jennie Kim?"

"I went to high school with her, Dad," Rosé said. "Junior year. I was dating her then."

"That's who you were talking about?"

"Yes. I was in a girl group with her for seven years. Remember when I signed to YG?"

Her father looked at her. "No. When did you do that?"

Rosé gave him a sarcastic smile. "I didn't," she grabbed Jennie's hand. "Mom is downstairs making dinner. We're going to go help. We can talk later."

"Of course," he said. "Nice to meet you Jennie."

"You as well, Mr. Park," Jennie said.

He gave her a smile and the two left the room.

"Boy, do I hate that man," Rosé mumbled.

"Has your relationship with him always been like that?" Jennie asked.

"It's gotten a lot better as the years went on."

"Why do you change everything about yourself when you talk to him? Your whole vibe was different."

Rosé let out a bitter chuckle. "If you want to be treated like Alice, you have to be Alice."

Jennie pouted. "But—"

"Let's just leave it alone for now. We can talk about it when we get home. Let's go help Mom with dinner."

So, that's why they did. Alice had finally made it over in the middle of them working, and decided to help.

"Hey, J," Rosé said.

Jennie looked at her.

"Can you go look in the fridge in the garage and grab some garlic?"

"There's no garlic up here?" Jennie asked, walking over to the fridge.

"Fresh out," Rosé said. "Can you go check and see if there's any out there?"

"Can you come with me?"

"I'm busy cooking something that needs garlic."

Jennie narrowed her eyes at her girlfriend. "Fine," she said, walking out of the room.

"Let me see the ring," Rosé's mom said as soon as Jennie left the room.

Rosé quickly went to her purse on the table and grabbed the ring out of it. She handed the velvet box to her mother and let her open it.

"어머," her mother gasped. "Roseanne, how much was this?"

"I wanna see," Alice went over to see the ring.

"Fifty thousand...?"

"아이고!" Alice exclaimed. "When are you gonna do it?"

"At the dinner table?" Rosé looked at her mother.

Her mother shook her head, handing her back the box. "Not in front of your father," she said.

"But—"

"Here, Roseanne," Jennie walked back into the kitchen.

Alice slyly took the ring out of her sister's hand before Jennie got too close.

"Thank you," Rosé grabbed the garlic and went back to cooking.

She tried enjoy the atmosphere for right now, because she knew when dinner started all hell would break loose.
