Jennie wasn't able to go back to sleep after that incident. In fact, nobody could sleep afterwards. None of them, besides Jennie, had ever experienced anything like that before. Now they were all downstairs in the living room.

"J," Rosé said quietly so the conversation would be between them only, "was it about what I think it was?"

Jennie looked at her. She gave her a slight nod.

"Do you have those dreams often?"

"It's usually not as bad. I can usually wake up when someone calls my name."

"Is that why you always want someone to be with you at night?" Rosé tucked a piece of Jennie's hair behind her ear.

Another nod.

"Are you uncomfortable in that room? Do you think that's why it was so bad?"

"Definitely," Jennie nodded.

Rosé sighed, looking away from her girlfriend. She looked at the ground in silence for a few seconds before looking back at the girl.

"I'm pressing charges against him, Jennie."

"That's not needed," Jennie shook her head. "It's not that serious. It was years ago—"

"Not that serious?" Rosé's voice got a little bit louder. "Jennie, are you kidding me?"

"Calm down—"

"No," the older girl snapped.

Alice and Claire looked at the two.

"Jennie, you're scarred," Rosé said. "You're having dreams about it and you don't want to turn him—"

"Rosé, please—"

You can tell Jennie was trying not to argue. She didn't have the energy for it.

"No. Jennie, you need to turn him in—"

"Roseanne!" Jennie raised her voice.

Rosé's mouth snapped shut.

"Leave it," the brunette said sternly. "I'm fine."

Rosé nodded, biting the inside of her cheek. "Whatever you say."

Jennie stood from her spot on the couch. "I'm going to get some water."

She left and Claire looked at her daughter.

"Don't push her," she said. "She's scared. Most sexual assault victims don't come forward until years later. Wanna know why? Because they're scared—"

"It's been years, mother—"

"Didn't she have another encounter with him in Korea?" Alice jumped in, raising her brow. "Give her some time and stop meat riding. She'll do it when she's ready."

Jennie came back with a glass of water and sat down beside Rosé.

"We're gonna leave you two to it," Claire said. "If you need anything tell Alice."

"Yeah,  don't do that," Alice said before she got up and left.

Claire gave the girls a warm smile and went upstairs.

Jennie let out a sigh, snuggling into Rosé's side. Rosé wrapped an arm around her and kissed the top of her head.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. You're just concerned," Jennie said. "But if you don't mind, can we sleep down here tonight?"

Rosé looked at her. "Do you wanna go home?"

Jennie pouted. "We can't just leave..."

"If you're uncomfortable here, J, we can leave."

"But your mom—"

"She'll understand," Rosé said. "Just say the word and I'll take you home."

Jennie looked at her. "Let's go."

Rosé stood from the couch and went upstairs. She came back down with their bags and grabbed her keys off of the coffee table.

"Come on," she held her hand out for Jennie to grab.

Jennie took her hand and the two went on their way. They sat in a comfortable silence the entire ride home.

As they got closer to their house, Rosé's eyes narrowed.

"Is someone at our house?"

Jennie looked up from her lap.

"Do you know whose car that is, J?"

Jennie leaned forward, to get a better look. A black BMW.

"They're standing in front of our door. I assume they're trying to get in," the older girl said.

"Oh, my God," Jennie said as Rosé pulled into their driveway.

"What is it? Do you know who it is?"

"Of course I know who it is," Jennie unbuckled her seatbelt, practically jumping out of the car.

The figure turned around and Jennie went running to them. Rosé watched as the girl jumped into their arms. A wave of jealousy hit her.

She got out of the car and walked over to them, ready to go off.

"Hey, Rosie," the familiar voice greeted her.

Rosé squinted her eyes. "Lucas?"
