"Jennie, I thought you were dating Roseanne?" Kai said, slyly.
"Oh, don't be a dick," Jennie rolled her eyes.
"I thought you two were dating when you left?" the boy said, "and just a few weeks ago, Jimin was posting you on his private instagram."
"Jennie and I are actually dating," Jackson said.
Kai raised his eyebrow. "Oh," he nodded, "so you're, like, a backup Lucas?"
"Again," Jennie glared at him, "don't be a dick."
Kai smiled bashfully. "Sorry," he apologized.
The three carried on their conversation, trying to get rid of the awkwardness. Meanwhile, under the table, Kai was making Jennie uncomfortable, as usual. His fingers were trailing up and down her arm, but he was doing it were Jackson couldn't see.
Kai knew that Jennie wouldn't say anything, so he kept doing it, thinking it was okay.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," Jackson said in the middle of their conversation.
"Okay," the other two said in unison.
The boy left and Jennie turned to Kai.
"Stop," she snapped.
"Why?" he pouted, moving his hand from her arm to her leg.
"Because, you're making me uncomfortable," Jennie said, "and you know that."
"Just give me a chance, J," Kai said quietly, moving his hand up her thigh. "I could treat you right."
"I'm not interested, Kai."
"You keep lying to yourself," the boy shook his head, moving closer to the girl.
"Get away from me," Jennie closed her eyes, turning her head away from him.
"Come on—"
"Hey, Jen—"
Kai smirked at Jennie, moving away from her. Jennie let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding.
"What's going on?" Jackson asked, letting out a confused chuckle.
"Oh, nothing. Just catching up," Kai took his hand off of Jennie's upper thigh.
"You don't have to be that close to her to catch up," Jackson said, "and your hand certainly doesn't have to be on her thigh."
Kai rolled his eyes.
"Soyeon said our meeting got pushed up," Jackson said, looking at Jennie. "She's here. Let's go."
Jennie stood up as Jackson began walking off. She was shaking. She grabbed her bag, trying to hold back tears. Just as she was going to walk off, Kai graves her arm and pulled her back. He leaned into her ear, rubbing his fingers up and down her arm.
"I'd still fuck you if you'd let me, baby," he whispered, biting her earlobe.
A tear fell out of the girl's eye.
"Jennie!" Jackson called after her.
She ripped her arm out of Kai's grip and went to catch up with him.
Jackson got in the front seat, beside Soyeon and Jennie got in the back.
"I need a bag," Jennie said. "I need a bag."
"A bag?" Soyeon asked. "What for?"
Jennie started dry heaving.
"Oh, my god," Jackson looked back at her, worried.
"Get her a bag," Soyeon said. "Glove compartment."
The boy quickly opened the glove compartment, and handed Jennie a bag. He unbuckled his seatbelt and moved to the backseat. He placed his hand on Jennie's back, letting her dry heave for a few minutes before she finally calmed down. Nothing came up.
"Are you okay?" he placed his arm around her shoulder, letting her lean on him.
Jennie's face was already wet with tears, but that question just made it worse.
"No," she whispered.
"I'm not going to make you explain anything, but just answer this for me," Jackson looked at the girl, running his hands through her hair. "Did he do that to you in the past?"
Jennie nodded. "Worse."
"And you didn't want to tell me because we were friends?"
Once again, Jennie nodded.
"You should've told me," Jackson shook his head. "It wouldn't have happened, if I had knew."
"I'm sorry," the brunette closed her eyes.
"Don't apologize," Jackson kissed the top of her head. "It's not your fault. It's never your fault."
The two stayed like that until they got to YGE. Jackson got out, then helped Jennie out of the car. He kept her close, through the camera's and the fans, not letting her out of his sight once.
The two got into the building and made their way to the CEO's office. Soyeon opened the door, letting them in. The two sat down and YG looked up at them.
They were met with silence.
"Jennie—"
The girl looked away, covering her face, as she began to tear up. Jackson placed a hand on her shoulder, giving it a small squeeze of comfort.
"I hope you know that trip was a one time thing," YG said. "People caught you over there. You have to stop seeing her. For the sake of your career."
"At this point, It's not about her career anymore," Jackson spoke up for the girl. "She's what gives you the most income, of course you don't want her to be caught in anymore scandals. I understand that you don't want to let her go, but look at her. Can't you see she's not healthy?"
"I need Jennie to talk," YG said.
Jennie took a deep, shaky breath. She looked at the CEO through her tears. "I don't want this life anymore," her voice broke. "It's not healthy. This place doesn't feel like home anymore."
YG raised his eyebrow. "What are you saying?"
"I want to be able to eat what I want. I want to be able to rest properly. I want to be with the love of my life, like Jisoo. I want to have kids. I want to settle down in Australia. I want to be happy," Jennie said. "I want to quit."
YG nodded.
"Very well," he said. "I'll see what I can do."
