after blackpink disbands, jennie decides she still wants to be an idol, but rosé thinks her time is done. they buy a house in australia & do part time living back and forth. they go through a rough patch when it's released that they're dating. will...
"Rosie!" Alice poked her sister in her sleep. "Rosé, get up!"
"Leave me alone," Rose pushed her sister away from her.
"Roseanne Park," Alice said. "Wake up. This is important."
"Can't hear you. I'm sleeping."
"Park Chaeyoung!"
"What?!"
The two sisters glared at each other. Rosé has been in the worst mood since she and Jennie broke up. Alice wasn't a big fan of the new attitude.
"What do you want, Alice?" Rosé asked, letting out a breath.
Alice turned her phone around and let her sister read the news for herself.
"What is this?" she asked. "Why are you showing me fake news?"
"Oh Mes tweeted about it, so I'm pretty sure it's real," Alice said. "Besides, I went to her official account that the company is over and they posted a statement."
Rosé stared at her sister. "But why?" she asked. "Why did she just throw away her entire career?"
Alice shrugged. "Text her and ask."
"I'm not texting her," Rosé scoffed.
"Then you don't care," her sister gave her a smile, leaving the room.
The younger girl sighed. She looked at her phone, struggling to figure out if she really wanted to text Jennie right now. She didn't, but for some reason she picked up her phone and started typing anyway.
rosie💞: why'd you do it?
jennie: oh, we're talking again?
rosie💞: don't get catty.
jennie: you said you didn't love me anymore and now you're questioning why i left my company like you care.
jennie: i can be as catty as i want.
rosie💞: why did you leave?
jennie: how's alice doing?
rosie💞: jennie.
jennie: roseanne.
rosie💞: look, i'm sorry. i was confused, j. i didn't know how to feel. i needed some time.
jennie: so you've made up your mind? [read]
jennie: right.
jennie: tell alice i said hello.
rosie💞: i will
rosie💞: but why did you do it? [read]
Rosé rolled her eyes, tossing her phone on her bed. Of course, she wasn't going to answer. Why would she? It's not like it was anyway of Rosé's business anyway. They weren't together anymore.
Just as Rosé was getting deep into her thoughts, Alice called her name.
"Roseanne!"
"What?!"
"Come downstairs!" Alice yelled. "Jimin's here!"
The girl groaned, but got out of bed anyway. She went downstairs to see Alice cleaning the kitchen and Jimin sitting on the couch.
"What?" she looked at him.
"I'm gonna ignore the fact that you have an attitude," Jimin smiled. "Did you see the news?"
"Yes, I saw the news."
"And how do you feel?"
"Why does it matter?" Rosé asked. "We're not together anymore."
"Oh, my God," Jimin rolled his eyes. "This is high school all over again. It's okay to care, Roseanne."
"I know this," the younger girl said, "but I don't care. She's not my concern anymore."
"Bullshit," Alice said.
"Fuck you," Rosé snapped.
"Take the stick out of your ass and stop being such a moody bitch," her sister said. "You know you still care about her. You can't lose feelings that fast."
"I can and I did."
"You've been in love with her since your junior year of high school," Alice said. "You didn't lose feelings for her in a couple of months and I can prove it."
"Prove it, then," Rosé said.
Jimin just sat back. This was not his business.
"You haven't sold the ring."
Rosé looked away from her sister. Just like that, she was defeated.
"Ring?" Jimin asked. "What ring?"
"Nothing," the pink haired girl shook her head. "It's nothing. I'm going out. Don't call or text, I need to clear my head."
"Have fun!" Alice waved as her sister grabbed the keys to her car and left.
Rosé didn't come back for the entire day. All she did was drive around. That's what she did when she needed to think.
At some point, she decided to go home. It was already past midnight. Nobody call or texted, just as she had asked. The only time she contacted someone was when she let Alice know that she was on her way home.
Rosé was stopped at a red light when her phone dinged. She picked it up, assuming it was someone checking on her. When she saw who it was, her heart fell to her stomach.

No, she didn't press send. She didn't even reply. All she did was shut off her phone and thanked God that she still had a chance.
That was all she needed.
