"This doesn't change anything. Slowbro, water pulse.""Follow their lead, Espeon dazzling gleam!"
A flash of bright light engulfed the blast of water as the two attacks merged. However, the newly evolved Houndoom, negated the attacks with a powerful dark pulse.
"Send it back to them, Houndoom, inferno."
The reckless move was easily avoided, giving the two of us an opening. The largely outmatched Krookodile had barely managed to stand back up from the previous attack, meaning that it would be easier for Elaine and I to eliminate one threat at a time.
"Focus on Krookodile, ice beam Slowbro."
"We've got your back. Espeon help them out with helping hand."
The increase in power granted to us by the sun pokemon meant that our opponent would have no chance at surviving this attack. As predicted, the ground pokemon was unable to withstand our combined power, leaving the opponents with one last pokemon.
"Houndoom, get Slowbro with crunch."
As the fire pokemon charged at Slowbro, the water pokemon braced for impact, readying himself for impact. The dark pokemon bit down, causing some pain but the psychic pokemon had a high tolerance for attacks, returning with a close range water pulse.
Houndoom struggled to his feet but was finished off by a remarkable dazzling gleam from Espeon. The fire pokemon collapsed to his feet, reverting back to its original form in defeat.
"Argh! You bitches will pay some day! Guys get out of here now!"
Following their leaders' orders, the black suited attackers fled the scene, unable to break past the two pokemon that stood in their way.
"Great job guys. You battled really well, all of you."
Slowbro and Arcanine nodded in thanks but my attention was diverted by the pokemon in the back. He seemed injured as both Vulpix and the taller pokemon stood over it, clearly scared.
Rushing to their side, I noticed that the pokemon was struggling on the ground, cheeks heavily flushed. Acknowledging that it was ill, I reached into my bag for something that I gave to my pokemon whenever they were feeling unwell.
Initially suspicious, Abomasnow interrupted but thanks to Vulpix's help, the snow grass pokemon calmed down.
From my bag, I retrieved a bottle of light green viscous coloured liquid. Confused as to what it was, Elaine asked me to explain what the mixture was comprised of.
"It's a mix of oran and sitrus berries as well as some rarer starf berries that I found a while back. If any of my pokemon are unwell, this mixture cures their sickness in no time."
Impressed by my resourcefulness, Elaine stared on as I fed some of the mixture to the sickly pokemon. As soon as the liquid was ingested, the heavy blush on the pokemon's cheeks began to fade slightly. For the first time, it opened its eyes to see a worried Abomasnow and Vulpix standing over it.
The standing pokemon let out cries of happiness as their friend's illness had been remedied. I placed the mixture into my bag before looking up to see Vulpix and Abomasnow having a somewhat serious conversation. In a hurry, the white fox pokemon darted to my side before continuing their conversation.
"What's happening?"
I shrugged my shoulders, unable to answer the light blonde's question. Even I was confused at what they were talking about. However, both Arcanine and Slowbro understood the situation.
