Raiya's POV:
I sat across from the boys with Seb in my lap, a scowl on my face as I avoided their gaze.
"Hello, boys. I'm Kenji Kurosaki and I'll be the one who will be taking care of you for the next few months. This is my daughter-"
"They have no need to know my name, dad."
He gave me a look but I didn't back down, my scowl deepening as fire appeared in my eyes. He sighed and turned back around to the males.
"Could you please introduce yourselves?"
"I am the second eldest, Reiji Sakamaki." the one with glasses said.
"Shu." the blonde muttered tiredly.
"Ayato." the redhead said.
"Laito." the one with the fedora purred.
"Kanato." the purplette said.
"Subaru." the albino said, continuing to stare at me.
'Subaru huh. It fits him.' I thought to myself while shifting uncomfortably under his gaze.
My mom walked in, still wearing her apron as she noticed the boys.
"Oh my dear, are these the boys?"
"Yup. This is my wife, Shiho Kurosaki."
"Welcome to our house! Today's dinner is lasagna. Our daughter here will show you to your rooms-"
I stood up, grabbing Seb and heading for the stairs. I turned around and gave my mom a look.
"I will not be showing any of these weirdos around the house so you guys can do that yourself."
"Raiya!"
I ignored my dad's yells and headed straight for my room, falling onto my bed. Seb meowed from beside me, rubbing his head against my cheek.
"I agree. I don't want them here either."
I heard a knock on my bedroom door and I opened it to see my parents there with a disapproving look on their faces. I leaned against the frame, my face blank.
"Raiya, our guests shouldn't be treated like this." my mother said.
"I don't care, dad. They have staring problems and they keep calling me some weird name."
"Raiya! I'm telling you to behave!" my father yelled.
I felt myself twitch at his loud voice and my mom looked at him in surprise. It was rare for my father to yell.
"Kenji-"
"Fine. You guys want me to act like how I do in school, I will. But know that I will never respect you or your wishes ever again." I hissed at my dad.
Before he could answer, I slammed the door in his face and locked it, ignoring the pounding. I didn't cry but I felt like my heart was in turmoil, feeling partial regret and anger. Seb seemed to sense my anxiety and licked my cheek affectionately. I sighed and rubbed his back mindlessly as the pounding stopped. I felt my eyes droop and I fell in a dreamless sleep.
-A few hours later-
I felt someone shaking me quite roughly and I sat up, bumping my head into someone's nose.
"OW, WHAT THE FUCK?"
I looked to my right and saw Subaru standing there, a scowl on his face as he held his nose. I plastered a smile on my face.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as politely as I could.
"Your mom told me to call you down for dinner, why else would I be here?"
"Thank you, I'll be down in a minute."
He didn't move and waited for me, arms crossed. Seb let out a meow as he rubbed against Subaru's leg, begging for attention.
"It seems like he likes you."
I didn't let him answer as I walked out the door, tying my blonde locks into a ponytail. He and Seb soon caught up with me, silently following me to the dining room. I walked into it, giving them all the brightest, fakest smile I could muster.
"Hello, everyone!"
The boys looked unamused, well, excluding the sleeping one, and I sat next to my mother as Subaru sat on the other.
"Rai-" my father began.
"Let's eat, shall we?" I said enthusiastically.
I dug in, giving my mom a thumbs up.
"As usual, your food tastes great mother!"
The table was deadly silent, all that could be heard was the clatter of silverware against the plate.
'Aren't they brothers? Why don't they talk?' I thought.
Reiji glared at my food making me raise my eyebrow.
"May I help you?"
"Your table manners are deplorable."
The corner of my mouth twitched in irritation as I purposely ate with my mouth open, showing him the glory of my lasagna being chewed. His glare turned colder but I shrugged it off and finished eating, standing up quickly.
"Thank you for the food, mother!"
I put my plate in the sink before nearly running to my room, sighing in relief once I was in it. I heard scratching at the door and opened it slightly, letting Seb in. I was about to close it when I saw Subaru go into the room across me, opening the door wide enough for me to look inside. I saw something big and black lying on the floor.
'Is that a fucking coffin?' I screeched in my head.
I opened my door and Subaru turned his head towards the sound, his usual angry expression on. I smiled, pointing at the coffin behind him.
"What is that?"
"None of your business."
"Oh? Because it looks like a coffin to me."
"Ok, then why did you ask?"
"Why do you have that in your room?"
"I sleep in it, why else?"
I felt some pieces fall in place and my eyes widened. Their pale skin and the coffin was only part of the answer. I walked up to him and pulled his upper lip up.
"Oi! What are you doing?"
My suspicions were confirmed as two razor-sharp fangs gleamed at me menacingly.
"Vampires," I whispered.
"It looks like you've found out. You're not as dumb as we thought."
I turned my head towards Reiji's voice as all the brothers now surrounded me, a certain gleam in their eyes.
"Why are there vampires in my house?" I said out loud, ignoring his rude comment.
"That means we can take her blood right?" Ayato said, looking extremely impatient.
"I need to fucking call an exorcist or some sort of vampire hunter," I mumbled.
"Are you listening to us?" Reiji asked.
I snapped out of it, smiling nervously as I backed away from them, grabbing the doorknob.
"Goodnight, everyone!"
I opened it quickly and shut it in their face, my heart beating loudly in my ears.
"My luck is horrible."
I sat on my head, putting my head in my hands.
"Oh my god, my luck is horrible," I repeated.
I laid on my bed, closing my eyes and falling asleep, hoping to wake up from this nightmare.
