16- Meetings

Raiya's POV:

We sat in silence as we drove to the mall, the place we both agreed on. One hand was holding Subaru's hand while the other was on the wheel.

"What do you want to do there?" I asked him quietly.

"Eat?" he asked, still unsure.

"Do you like games?"

"Anything you want to do."

I nodded and we soon reached the mall, walking in and heading straight for the food court.

"What do you want to eat?"

"I'm gonna order some udon. What about you?"

"You choose for me."

"Subaru, please don't make being here hard." I sweatdropped.

"Fine. Pizza."

I nodded, moving to order but he forced me into a chair while I just blinked, unable to comprehend what just happened.

"I'm paying."

"W-wait!"

But he didn't listen and ordered faster than anyone I had ever seen. He had the food in front of us in less than five minutes and we began eating until I began eyeing the two slices of pizza he had left. He noticed, letting out a small chuckle.

"Do you want a bite?"

I nodded enthusiastically, opening my mouth. He fed me the pizza and I took a small bite, letting out a small hum of delight.

"That's yummy!"

"I'm glad," he said with a soft look in his eyes.

I pointed at my hot noodles.

"Do you want some too?"

He nodded and using my chopsticks, I fed him a few noodles. He nodded, commenting quietly about how it was good. We soon finished and headed towards the small arcade next to the food court. I noticed a small rabbit plushie with red eyes in a claw machine and went to it, eyes glowing.

"It reminds me of you, Subaru."

"Are you fucking serious? I look nothing like that."

I looked between the rabbit and Subaru before shaking my head.

"You look exactly like it. There's no point denying."

He growled but paused, scratching the back of it.

"Do you want it?"

"Will you get it for me?" I asked excitedly.

He sighed before nodding, putting some coins in. I clapped, giggling as I watched his first attempt. The claw easily grasped the plushie but as soon as it rose up, it fell out of its grip. Subaru growled, clenching his fist.

"If you punch it, I'm not gonna be with you anymore." I chimed.

He put more money in, a look of determination crossing his face. After several tries, he still wasn't able to get it. He had multiple irk marks on his forehead and I pushed his shoulder, rolling up my sleeves.

"Let me show you how the pros do it."

I put a coin in and squinted my pink eyes, moving the claw right above the rabbit. It grasped it and actually brought it over to the hole successfully, dropping the rabbit. I squealed and Subaru looked dumbfounded as I took the rabbit out.

"What's wrong? You surprised?" I teased.

"Shut up, idiot."

I handed him the rabbit, a smile on my face.
