Sabrina's POV
- Hey Colby! - a male voice called out the second we stepped out of the car
- Hey, Nate! - Colby greeted the guy approaching us - How have you been? I haven't seen you since I moved to LA.
- I've been great, Brock. Living that engaged life these last few months. - he smiled as he wrapped his arm around the girl that stood next to him - This is Anna.
- Nice to meet you, Anna. And congrats, you guys. Sam and I always told you you'd end up the first to be married. - we hugged each of them
- Nice to meet you too, Colby - Anna smiled - Nate has told me a lot about you.
- Well, doesn't seem like you're too far from marriage yourself - Nate winked at me - Nice to finally meet you, Sabrina.
I was a little taken aback by the fact that he knew my name. He must've noticed my confusion cause he laughed and hurried to explain himself. - Sam told me Colby had found the girl of his dreams. He may have also mentioned your name.
I smiled - Nice to meet you too, Nate. You too, Anna.
- Let's go in - Nate tilted his head in the direction of the open gate that led to the garden where the wedding was supposed to be held.
I took one step through the gate and I felt like I entered a different world. Shades of green, red and gold surrounded me, making me feel like I was a princess, entering the gardens of my castle. Of course, my castle wouldn't have so many people in the gardens, I like solitude. The illusion went on, making me look around with wide, insatiable eyes. I craved to take in everything this garden had to offer, all the decorations, flowers, people. Everything.
- You like it? - Colby broke me out of my illusion, bringing me back down so my feet were touching the ground.
- No - I shook my head, still looking around - I love it. I all of a sudden want a wedding.
He laughed - What? Did you plan on not having a wedding in the future?
That question made me look at him with a bit of puzzlement in my eyes - I don't know, really. I haven't thought things that far through.
- Well - he took my hand, spinning me around once and pulling me closer - I think you should start.
My heart stopped, respawned faster than ever and then stopped again. The butterflies in my stomach were replaced by an entire jungle. I didn't know how much I wanted to marry this man until now. A man? Yeah. In that moment, then and there, right in front of my eyes, Colby stopped being my boyfriend. He was my man. He was now my future husband.
- You know, at first I was thinking Vegas - he put his hand on my back, guiding me forward, speaking with a voice so casual, you'd think we were discussing what to have for dinner - But after all the shit that went down there, I don't think that might be the smartest idea.
Though I looked completely out of it, my ears were peaked and the rest of the sounds were cancelled out by his soft voice. This man could tell me the sun turns around the Earth and I'd believe him. Damn, he can convince me of anything. I'm not sure if I hate it though.
- I'll let you choose the location cause you have an eye for those kinds of things. - he shrugged, once again as if telling me to choose where we should eat.
- Brock, are you aware you're telling me to plan our wedding without popping the special question, nor pulling out a ring? - I gave him a half serious, half playful raise of my eyebrows.
- Oh, I'm aware. - he smiled - just making sure you don't get a panic attack when we need to actually decide these things.
I was about to come up with a witty retort, but a guy dressed in a three piece suit came up to us. He would've looked normal if he wasn't so pale. That's when I realized, it was probably the groom.
